Felbury House Residential Care Home has a family history of over 40 years in running care homes.

They run the home how they would want to live in it and they want you to live here in the same way that you would live in your own home.

70% of the staff have been with Felbury for 5+ years and all are trained to support and encourage independence and dignity at all times. All staff are encouraged to train vocationally and most hold NVQ/QCF level 2 in Health & Social Care as a minimum. However, kindness cannot be taught and this is the core skill they look for when recruiting.

Felbury House Residential Care Home is a luxury 2012 development, designed to suit comfortable daily living for those with care needs. Spacious suites with kitchens and studio apartments are available for long-term residential needs and also for temporary respite (when available), with the scenic surroundings of the picturesque Surrey hills and looking across to Leith Hill - in the stunning village of Holmbury St Mary where they actively support the local church, school and surrounding pubs and small businesses - an ideal location for individuals to achieve a balance of life with care and still involved in community.

Felbury House remained a covid-free home throughout the pandemic due to innovative measures taken and diligent infection control standards.

The home has provided my mother with a safe and homely environment. Staff seem rushed at times and could spend longer with residents in their rooms. The home always feels well staffed, and most are really caring and helpful.

We have recently found that some of the workload was being delegated to certain members of our team and that the care work was not being shared equally: putting pressure on some. We have since started to rectify this issue and hope that your mum has noticed an improved experience. We are glad you see the home is well staffed and we work hard to ensure that we continue to maintain a very low turnover of care staff, which has been repeatedly reported across the industry sector as an issue over the past couple of years. Over 50% of our team has now been with us for five or more years!

Dad has been in Felbury House Residential Care Home for 18 months, having arrived between lockdowns in the COVID pandemic. He had been finding life in his home of over 60 years increasingly difficult and had suffered a number of falls, so it is a great relief that he is being well looked after. Whilst
he still misses home, we are so grateful for the care he receives and everyone's help and patience. We appreciate the measures taken to ensure all residents remained safe and well during the pandemic, even though it was difficult for everyone. We look forward to the end of restrictions so that he can enjoy the full Felbury House experience. A big thank you to all the team!

After my Father died in Nov 2020. Mum struggled to live at home with care and increasing Alzheimer's, so she went for a 'holiday' to Felbury for two weeks. When collecting her she had made a great friend and was sad to be leaving, so two weeks later we moved mum in permanently and she loves it. The
staff are always cheerful and have had a lot to deal with during the pandemic. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Dad joined Felbury House in November 2019. He had been living independently and was not happy about going into residential care, but a bad accident convinced us that he was becoming a danger to himself. He was made very welcome, and after a few months he settled into Felbury life - and then the pandemic
came. Lockdown was difficult for everyone, and the staff worked very hard to make things bearable for the residents, despite the restrictions that had to be put in place. We were kept informed at all times, and as soon as visiting was possible a cabin was installed in the garden to facilitate this, as well as iPads and computers to keep in touch with relatives. Rigorous adherence to safety measures meant that there were no cases of Covid in the Home. The staff at Felbury are friendly and caring and go out of their way to get to know each resident's likes and dislikes. They are professional and helpful and we always felt that Dad was being well looked after.

Dad always spoke highly of the staff and the care that he received at Felbury House. It was a relief for me to always know that he was safe and well looked after especially after the eighteen months we have all endured. I must congratulate Felbury House on their handling of the pandemic, to come through
it with no cases really reflects well on the efforts of staff and management. I always knew that I could pick up the phone with however minor a concern and get a cheery response, no matter what time of the day or night, that in itself was very reassuring. My 99-year-old father moved into Felbury in September 2020. He has settled in very easily despite initial reservations, which was understandable, and this is due to the staff and management and their caring and approachable attitude, and he has nothing but praise for the staff. Management are readily
available to discuss any issues.
His room is clean and comfortable and importantly, kept warm. The surrounding grounds are well kept and he is looking forward to being able to sit outside when circumstances permit. Considering the difficulties caused by COVID, the home has managed the risks extremely well and kept it out of the home. Importantly the management keeps us informed regularly and frequently regarding changing circumstances and how they are managing them. A monthly newsletter keeps us informed of activities and events happening during the following month and considering the restrictive circumstances, it is apparent that every effort is being made despite the restrictions.

My father went to live at Felbury in September 2020. Due to Covid-19 my brother and I were only able to assess the home from the exterior but dad has settled in well despite Covid stopping regular visits. The staff are very helpful and obviously, the care and safety of the residents is paramount. This
is borne out by not having a single case of Covid in the home. Dad has complained about only one aspect of his care and that is he finds the food a bit bland but that is because he has burnt his tastebuds over the years with his fondness for spicy food. We helped dad move into his room which was very comfortable and contained everything he would need. We are looking forward to the time we can look around the rest of the home. Each month we are sent an itinerary of activities that will take place during the following month and are kept well informed of any news or updates.

I cannot praise the owners and staff of Felbury House too much. Not only have they maintained the highest levels of day-to-day care for my mother during these very testing times they have managed to keep Covid out of the home. They have done an exceptional job.

Felbury House us covered with care staff. The management is always available to give any help that is needed, be it personal, medical or shopping and always with such pleasure. Felbury has become a home to all the residents, and it's a great pleasure to see. Strive on rosemary in the building.

My previous home is two miles north of the area. Car use for weekly shopping always essential for being a widower. At 90 years, I decided to stop diving and moved into a local care home, where I am very content, well-fed and among good companions. My spacious room has wide views over the woodlands -
what more could I ask for.

Nan has been at Felbury House since last year. We didn't think she would settle and were surprised and relieved when she did so quickly. The staff are so kind and lovely, last time I arrived Nan was up and dancing in the lounge with one of the staff, it was so lovely catching her having fun!

Our Mum joined the Felbury House "family" at the age of 98. She was made so welcome and so were we, as a family. Their care and attention to personal needs and requirements are exceptional and soon Mum was joining in with all the activities. She loved all the exercise classes, musical treats, luncheons,
canal trips, day trips to Wisley Gardens and a trip to Buckingham Palace which I was also invited to. What an amazing day together. The continuity of care staff is what makes it so special - they all know each resident personally and their needs - nothing is too much trouble. The care plans are efficient and updated and we were kept informed of any changes at all times which was very reassuring. At nearly 102 years Mum's health naturally started to deteriorate and we were worried that we may have to find nursing care but no, this was her "home" and an end of life care plan was put into place. The care was second to none and so was the support we received. Thank you so much Felbury House.

My husband was a short-stay resident in Felbury House (December 2019 to January 2020). I was very happy with all aspects of the care provided, but having no previous knowledge of such establishment/ability to compare, have graded good to excellent as minor incident give 90% rather than 100%.
