I cannot rate The Old Rectory high enough. I will be forever grateful for the way they looked after my mom during her short time there. The staff are without exception genuinely lovely. They cared for Mom with the greatest love and respect and were without exception amazing in every way. The place
is impeccably clean, the food is really outstanding and most importantly they cared for my mom as if she was their own. Absolute first class.

My mother's care was excellent at all times. She was not always the easiest of people to deal with but everybody was so kind and caring towards her and nothing was too much trouble. She was cared for as if she was their own mother. If God created angels, then this team at The Old Rectory are them.

I would recommend The Old Rectory Care Home due to the ownership and management culture.
This sets the tone and quality of care for residents.
Standards and consistency are essential to deliver quality of care.
Employees are attracted and valued and then stay.
At a time of challenge for families,
it was refreshing to get a highly professional and caring experience from everyone at The Rectory.
Mum only stayed here for two weeks as the setting was not right for her or the other residents.
We received advice and support to find the right next place as well.
It seems to me, people over profit is the approach and that leads to residents who, at a particular time of life, get the respect and courtesy they deserve.

A superb home with genuinely kind and caring staff who go above and beyond to care for their residents. Outstanding level of cleanliness with a true home feel. My grandmother has really come back to life since becoming a resident. The food is outstanding also. She is happy and cared for which brings
her family total peace of mind.

My father-in-law is being well cared for with compassion, dignity, and most of all, great care in a comfortable, very clean environment.
He has improved considerably since coming to the home in August.
Thank you hugely to all the wonderful staff who are so kind and caring to J and also his wife
who visits regularly. They are all helpful and very polite. They are always a phone call away and give regular updates on his condition.
I am also pleased to say that the home has reviewed its Wi-Fi connection which was erratic and has been improved with booster - thank you again.

Mum was a resident of The Old Rectory Care Home from May 2018 until her passing this week. Mum was looked after exceptionally well by all of the staff. The standard of accommodation, cleanliness, and decor is superb. The dining room and food provided was excellent. Table service provided by the team
made the residents feel more special. Mum had a special friendship/relationship with many of the staff and they treated her as a friend which she treasured very much. The management and staff helped with external visits to the dentist and other places. When Mum was taken to hospital the day before she passed away, a senior member of the team, on hearing we may not get to the hospital in time, drove to the hospital to be with Mum to ensure she wasn't on her own. These acts of going the extra mile are a great example of why we have been delighted with the Old Rectory over the last 5.3/4 years. Great people, lovely facility, respectful of their residents and approachable. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend The Old Rectory Care Home to anyone. It is a family-friendly home where everyone is looked after and cared for with love care and compassion. My dear friend came here in June 2023 but has now decided this is where she wishes to stay. Her life has changed for the better since
coming here.

The Old Rectory Care Home has been my mum's home since last October. I am so grateful to the staff and management for all their care and attention during this time. The food is exceptional. They have lots of lovely activities and the house itself is beautiful.

My wife recently stayed at The Old Rectory for two weeks in order to help her recover from major surgery. The Old Rectory is a fine old building with beautiful grounds, decorated and furnished to the highest standards with spacious common rooms and a very nice dining room. Residents' rooms are comfortable
and of good size. My wife's care, even through the nights, was excellent and she came home in much better health. The Manager and her staff couldn't have been more helpful.
The food, eaten in your room or in the dining room, was also top quality.

I am so pleased that my mother is in a brilliant care home. My mother is 93 and extremely belligerent. She lived with me for 1 month, it was a month of hell for me. We had looked at several care homes in the area but The Rectory was the only one that my mother and I were/are completely happy with.
There
is only one problem my mother has an oesophageal pouch which means that she requires food to be liquidised. Occasionally some of the chefs don't do this.
I can't recommend The Rectory care home too much.

Thank you so much for looking after our very precious dad. We love The Old Rectory Care Home. We always get a lovely warm greeting when we arrive. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We are kept informed if there are any concerns about Dad and the doctor who has visited has been very thorough.
The home is kept very clean and always smells lovely. The dining room is so lovely and there is a great choice of food. It is easier to say goodbye to Dad, knowing that he is safe and his needs are being met. Thank you.

My dad is now accepting of being in care and is extremely well looked after, with all his needs considered; by all the staff. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff team supported my dad in this unexpected (and largely unwanted) phase of his life. Fiercely independent, the team have been
able to subtly ensure that Dad engages with them to have his support needs met whilst maintaining and maximising his independence and not diminishing his pride. Staff at The Old Rectory Care have worked hard to make it easier for us as a family, and this was with the backdrop of covid and all the restrictions that they had to work through. We have nothing but praise and respect for the whole of the workforce, which includes the catering team, the housekeeping team, the administration team as well as the direct care staff.

My brother-in-law has been at the Rectory for several years and we are extremely grateful for the care and attention he has received. The home is excellent and the staff are amazing. During lockdown, they had to become family to all the residents and they kept us fully informed as to his progress. We
have been allowed to visit but only in a safe way. The food is consistently good and the rooms are of a high standard. This is undoubtedly the best care home in the area, in our opinion and we would recommend it to anyone.
