Weavers House is a purpose-built nursing home, able to take on a wide range of personal needs while also specialising in provision for adults with a form of dementia.

The provider values its reputation for person-centred care, with needs assessments carried out prior to occupancy to make for all individuals have their needs and requirements accounted for on a day-to-day basis.

Reminiscence therapy and storytelling are among some of the popular activities enjoyed within the home, which is tastefully decorated and furnished, making it a pleasant accommodation to live in and visit.

All of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished with en-suite bathroom facilities and TV.

The home also has excellent amenities, including comfortable lounges in which residents can relax. In addition there is a dedicated area for dementia care, designed to enable those cared for to maintain their independence in a safe environment.

My mother has been a resident in Weavers House for five years. During this time her care has been excellent. The staff are caring, professional and always treat her with great dignity. Food is very good and plenty of it. Surroundings are very comfortable with high standard of cleanliness. Daily/weekly
activities are available and great thought and preparation obviously go into these.

I have only good things to say about Weavers - my mother was placed there for 16 months (35 miles from me) and that was the only reason I moved her closer to my home.
It was with a very heavy heart as the staff were excellent and treated her with outstanding respect and care.
It is a brilliant care
home.

This nursing home provided a safe and caring environment for 2 weeks respite for my mum. She enjoyed the company and food and felt secure.


All the staff were very caring and understanding my mum's needs. They also were well managed too.

My husband had a lovely experience staying at Weavers House. The staff were the very best, so kind, gentle, pleasant and always left him comfortable and happy. The rooms are painted in lovely pastel colours which gives a lovely atmosphere to the surroundings. The flowers and Summer seats at the front
entrance add a touch of luxury to the high standards within its closure. I would have no hesitation in recommending Weavers to everyone who would want to stay in a safe, comfortable environment.

My father is now residing at Weavers House and as a family, we are so pleased with the care he is getting.
We can see a marked improvement in his appearance, his social skills, his communication and willingness to converse with others. He seems more relaxed generally.
The staff can't do enough for
him and us as a family. The standard of the room and facilities are excellent. We know he is being well cared for.

The staff and management are friendly, courteous yet professional. I was told when my Mum arrived at Weavers House and personally taken to her room. All the staff introduced themselves, they call Mum by her name she is known by and take the time to talk to her as she wouldn't socialise much, but they
try to encourage her to socialise. The rooms are clean and Mum's clothes are kept clean. Nothing is a bother to them and they are always on hand to help.

My experience is rather limited as I only visit the care home once weekly for an hour or less.
My impression is very positive and I have found a friendly, helpful staff. The clients seem well looked after both physically and emotionally and are kept very clean and tidy.
From what I have experienced
at times, the catering and food are of a high standard and the clients appear on the whole to be very happy.

Mum seems settled and content in the nursing home and despite the nature of her illness does not seem to be deteriorating. The staff treat her with care and dignity from my own observations when I visit twice weekly and always inform me if there have been any incidents.

I think Weavers care home in Cookstown is bright, airy, clean, good food, and staff are very professional. They make their job look easy (which it's not) therefore creating a very related atmosphere. My mother is very well cared for.

When I walk through the door of Weavers House it is such a different experience to any other care home I have been in. It smells good, fresh and clean (no urine smell). There is music playing in the background, all the residents are given the best possible care and attention. Residents are encouraged
to join in activities daily. My brother and I attended the Easter party where there was music, making of Easter bonnets and a raffle. Food and refreshments were also general. The staff are all very caring, attentive, polite and are good listeners to all residents needs on floor two. Especially two members of staff who are exceptional in all aspects.

My wife is extremely lucky to have been placed in Weavers. The care and attention she receives is second to none. All of the staff are very attentive, patient, understanding in their day to day work.
They provide a professional service in a very friendly, open and transparent way. They have time to
listen (in their busy standard). Any queries regarding clothing/health/continence are fully addressed. Their communication skills are very good. It is a very busy unit, but the atmosphere is very relaxed.
