The staff team are very welcoming and caring. It was a very hot day when we visited and we were offered cold drinks whilst we waited for the lateral flow test results. Even our very well behaved dog was given a top-up of water. We very much appreciate the hard work and dedication the team have shown,
especially during the very challenging times during this pandemic. Mum is very happy and that means everything.

If you need to go into a care home, then you can find no better than Woodville. The staff care for the residents in every way possible, not only cared for but loved. Everywhere is exceptionally clean, and the food is very good.

Very pleased with the care my mother has received and is still receiving. All of the staff take professional pride in their work and ensure they understand the needs of each of their residents. They keep me informed on any issues affecting my mother and promptly respond to any queries I may have. There
are daily activities for the residents, opportunities to relax in the garden (weather permitting) and wonderful home-cooked meals, including BBQs in the summer. I think Mother believes she is in a hotel, and I can't fault the service!

Woodville House care home staff are very caring and efficient in all they do. My mum is being cared for with the highest of standards. The staff are always professional and are always readily available if my mum needs them. The activities coordinator has always played an important role in stimulating
and encouraging residents. The cook has always catered for any special needs and has always delivered healthy and appetising food.

My mother-in-law has been in the Woodville House for a considerable time now and has been looked after with dignity and respect. Of course, during this present pandemic, it has not been possible to visit her, apart from recently whereas, one member of the family can now visit but previously, all the
family have visited her. We are always treated respectfully by all the staff members and given refreshments, also can all talk together in a pleasant atmosphere. During the year there is entertainment for the residents from outside sources where all are invited to take part in games and song, also open days where we can all meet up in a party atmosphere.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.861)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.861) out of 10 for Woodville House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.961 for Woodville House is calculated as follows: ( (99 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 103 Ratings = 4.961

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Woodville House is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 16 registered maximum number of service users is 3.2, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
