My mother has been in Bowbridge Court since August 2013, following a stroke and the onset of dementia. I have always found the care workers to be very affectionate, loving and caring, especially now when my mum has an end of life care plan in place. Whenever we have had concerns we have been listened
to. It has not been an easy time for us, but at least we have known that mum is safe and well cared for. Staff have also been very supportive of the family.

I have always felt welcome at Bowbridge Court and found staff caring and busy. The lounge is welcoming and the rooms are very comfortable. The food for main meals and tea looks appetising. Residents are encouraged to come out of their room and interact but obviously not all want to do this but are kept
an eye on.
I have only been when two group activities have been taking place but they seem to be well supported and enjoyed.

A very pleasant and friendly atmosphere and the residents seemed very contented. Scrupulously clean surroundings and the ladies agreed that the food is very good! Unable to comment upon my mum's room because did not visit on this occasion.

My Aunty has had a long stay at the above home and the duration of the stay has been over three months, unfortunately her health has deteriorated and she is now end of life care. I can honestly say all the staff and management have shown total respect and compassion to her throughout her stay. This
has also been shown to her immediate family and friends during their visits also. It has made this very difficult time certainly more manageable for all concerned. Many thanks

“From my very first day working at Bowbridge Court I was made to feel at ease, part of the family and welcomed, which is exactly how I try to make people feel every day as they walk through our doors”


Wendy joined Ideal Carehomes in August 2018 where she quickly became a valued member of the Bowbridge team. As Front of House Manager, Wendy contributes towards the day to day running of the home. Before joining Bowbridge Court Wendy excelled as a Customer Service Manager for North Notts Newspapers overseeing 13 newspapers training, customer complaints and dealing with advertising and external bodies to ensure advertising compliance.


The skills gained in this role, along with 13 years of managing Newark Rugby Club have really benefited Wendy at Bowbridge Court.

Wendy is extremely friendly, approachable and is always ready to assist with any questions or queries that residents or their family members have regarding the home.
