I enjoyed this visit to see my grandmother in her special home very much as I live overseas. I have heard some wonderful stories from her and all of the stories are true! The staff, in particular, clearly knew my grandmother well - her likes and dislikes. This was a special connection that was clear.
She is happy, comfortable and well cared for, which makes me feel confident she is in the very best place possible. Thank you to everyone at The Mayfields who make this a real home, with love.

My wife is seriously disabled, physically and mentally. Can think of nothing to find fault with. When in her room she was checked on frequently and in the lounge, there are always staff in attendance who respond immediately to the resident's needs. Impressed with the way the staff engage in activities
with the residents. The staff kept in touch with me or my daughter to inform us of all changes to her condition and discussions or suggestions. I think the Mayfields deserve our excellent rating.

My mother spent the last year of her life at The Mayfields. Sadly, she died there very recently. The staff could not have cared for her more carefully and kindly. They included us in all the difficult decisions and always respected our wishes and choices. We felt very well looked after, including in
her final days.

We have been very impressed with The Mayfields from the minute we walked in on our first visit. The home is purpose-built and really welcoming with all the rooms and communal areas having a lovely spacious but relaxing and comfortable feel. My father's care has been first-rate and the staff treat him
with kindness and respect. He frequently says how good the food is and how well he is looked after. It is clear the care staff have spent significant time with him and his room is always left in an immaculate state. They know him well and are aware of his idiosyncrasies. Although he finds it hard to concentrate, the entertainment staff are brilliant and spend time on a one-to-one basis, finding out his interests! My father is a wanderer and the security of the building has kept him safe. Every member of staff is cheerful and smiley, which generates a feel-good factor. I have total confidence in the good management of the home. The communication is excellent and any documentation requests are completed in a timely manner. I feel that all the staff work together to make the home a special place where my father is able to live in comfort. Thank you very much!

I moved my mum here after being in a dreadful home which traumatised her. Mayfields is lovely, the staff are excellent and always smiling and chatty. Mum's room is spacious and light and very clean. Everyone including the receptionist is helpful and kind. Mum has settled in well. Thank goodness for
this home.

Dad spent the last four years at Mayfield's and peacefully passed away in March. I cannot thank the staff enough for the exemplary care Dad received, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Dad thoroughly enjoyed the activities and all the entertainment, especially the music and dancing. Once again

I'm sorry my mum had to go into a care home, but there was a time we, as a family, could no longer cope. Mum lived in Mayfields for nearly nine years and the care she received was exemplary and we never felt worried or uncomfortable knowing she was in your hands. Thank you to all the staff who looked

Mum spent her last year in Mayfields with dementia and peacefully passed away this month. Covid has caused much suffering for residents and their families, but the staff show a huge understanding of everyone's emotional needs and are giving much of themselves to help the residents and families through
these challenging times. Activities and celebratory days are planned with creativity and thought, and the cook prepares nutritious meals and treats to suit everyone for every occasion. Housekeeping and laundry maintain a high standard. Covid has been kept at bay due to high standards, adhering to the covid rules and hard work. The staff actively promote a positive attitude, kindness and cheerfulness to everyone either resident or visitor. We must remember the staff also have families and share the same lockdown and covid hardships. Extra special thanks to two particular carers for the love and care shown to Mum during her time with you. Mayfields met all needs and went way beyond our expectation.

This feedback relates to the hours up to and beyond Mum's passing. Even in these difficult times of COVID-19, it was really appreciated that all the immediate family were allowed both time and space with Mum during her final hours. Although paramedics were in attendance, it was evident that care home
staff took into consideration Mum's specific needs when deciding the next steps to her care. We've been so lucky in finding The Mayfields; Mum seemed very happy there and built a lovely relationship with staff. Thank you to all concerned - we will be forever grateful.

My granny has been a resident since just before the first lockdown of 2020. Her care and the effort from the team to keep the residents safe has been outstanding. It has been very difficult being unable to visit, but we receive regular updates and can see that she is involved with lots of activities
and socialisation. I would recommend them to anyone with confidence.

Over 3 years I regularly visited my friend and on every occasion, I was warmly welcomed by The Mayfields staff.

My mother has spent two periods of respite in the Mayfields. She was on the dementia floor. Her room was spacious, as is all the communal areas. The staff seemed very caring for my mother and there were plenty of activities going on to keep her stimulated. The manager is thoughtful and very accommodating.
All the staff I came into contact with were helpful and attentive. I came away feeling confident my mother was receiving excellent care.

With a career rooted in compassion and dedication, I began in a brain injury rehabilitation unit in 2006, rising from a care assistant to a managerial role. My leadership journey continued in 2021 as a manager at Castlemeadow Care, where I honed my skills in residential and dementia management. Today, I proudly serve as the manager of The Mayfields Care home, where I am committed to providing high-quality care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
