The modern home has a stunning collection of en-suite bedrooms, as well as stylish lounges, a welcoming café and a hair and beauty salon. Outside there are beautiful gardens for residents to enjoy - there's even a gardening club that green-fingered residents can join!

Following a broken hip at 96, Mum made the brave decision to give up independent living and move to a home in Somerset - two things she previously ruled out. The move to Gracewell was seamless, thanks to all the staff involved and Mum has settled well in her suite. Now her pictures and personal possessions
are in place, it feels a lot like home. All the staff, without exception, are helpful and friendly and the family feel welcome at every visit, including the great-grandchildren who love the treats from the coffee shop.

My experience during my husband's stay was the care and compassion shown to him. He had a major stroke so no speech. Also, love and care shown to me at this very difficult time.

Staff always seem pleasant and friendly.
Like the foyer with coffee etc. Feels more like a country hotel than an institution. Garden pleasant to walk around and sit in. Like individual garden areas outside the patio doors.

The staff here are outstanding at every level - no hint of anyone "being in the wrong job". One carer appeared with flowers from her own garden for my mother on her birthday.


A huge plus is the way in which the health of residents is closely monitored by one of the most forward-looking medical practices

in the country.


Ancillary services such as chiropody, manicure and hair styling are readily available in the fully equipped salon or in the resident's own room. Visiting professionals here are absolutely up to the standard set by the home's own staff.


Of course, nothing is ever perfect and one would wish that the layout of the residents' own rooms made it easier to manoeuvre wheelchairs and other necessary equipment, although the carers manage this with good grace.


Recommend Gracewell of Frome? Without hesitation.

My husband spent 4 weeks in Gracewell while I recovered from surgery. I was very happy for him to be there but he didn't enjoy his time as there was really no one for him to socialize with. He disliked being locked in although I did explain why the doors were locked. I did feel he would have been happier
on the ground floor as his dementia is not so advanced.
The staff were jolly and very friendly.

My mother has been at Gracewell Frome for over 2 1/12 years. She has been extremely well cared for both in residential and nursing units. The staff without exception have been friendly, caring and professional. Any issues that have arisen have been dealt with speedily and efficiently. The atmosphere
in the home is wonderful as are the facilities. Highly recommended.

I selected Gracewell for my parents due to the professional, caring and understanding attitude displayed by all staff, and by the impressive standards of the facilities and internal fittings. I was kept informed of matters concerning my parents at all times and was actively encouraged to visit and take
part and share in activities. I was always made to feel welcome during visits. Sadly my parents both passed away during the first month of residency but again, the staff were sympathetic, caring and professional in dealing with this situation.

From my very first visit to my new home, I was most impressed with the everything. It looked more like a grand 5-star hotel than a care home. All members of the staff have been very kind and have greatly helped me to settle down.

As the husband of the resident who has had an acute stroke. I chose this nursing care home for the following reasons. Firstly because the Care Quality Commission report gave all five categories inspected a grade of Good. Secondly, because two acquaintances with connections to the home recommended it
and thirdly because the home had a pleasant atmosphere and more particularly the staff I met were very capable and above all caring.

My mother had to move from the care home she was in. This process can be stressful to the resident and relative who has to organise this. It is especially difficult trying to organise this over Christmas. Management and staff excelled themselves to enable this to happen and there is clear evidence of
caring teamwork. My mother has settled in quickly and looks very well, happy and cared for. She particularly enjoys interacting with staff and residents and joining in activities. The care staff go the extra mile; my mother looks well groomed. Thanks, Gracewell.

Very happy with Dad's care. He is always clean and looks cared for. Staff are always very helpful and families are always welcomed. We like the cafe - downstairs has a space to go and enjoy coffee with Dad if the weather isn't great. I can't actually think of anything negative to say! Very happy with
our choice!

I visit my befriending client three times a week in Gracewell and have done for around 3 1/2 years. The staff are friendly, efficient and very caring towards him. I marvel at their patience, with the responsibility they have. I would certainly trust them with any relative of mine.

Lovely welcoming entrance. I love the staff and rooms. I'm a bit disappointed that you got no discount when residents spend weeks in hospital. I know they still have the room but they are getting no care or food etc. Even 10% discount would be good.

From the minute that my mother and I first met the Home Admission Advisor, we knew that this was going to be the home for my mother.
The way that she showed respect and warmth towards my mother endeared us to the home.
The carers and nurses have built a lasting relationship with my mother which puts
my mind completely at rest.
This fantastic nursing home is more like one big family.
My mother and I could not be happier with our choice.

Meet the Team (1)

Phil

Phil Vale

Job Title: General Manager

I’ve worked for some years in the care sector, including in care quality support roles. Prior to being General Manager here at Rossetti House, I was Head of Care at the home.


While there’s much to keep me busy in my job, by far my favourite part of the role is spending time with residents, particularly if we’re doing fun activities together. Enabling older people to enjoy life to the full is ultimately what each person who works here is passionate about – including me.


I look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful Frome home very soon and introducing you to our passionate, caring and skilled team.
