My grandma has been a resident at Fairfield for a while now. She seems happy and content. The staff are friendly and helpful. Grandma's room is lovely. It's in the new build part. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

This is a very lovely place the staff are just brilliant in every way. My wife is in here with dementia and is very well looked after and I know she is in great hands. When I leave her. You are always made welcome here. The managers are always there to help with any problems so that note 10/10.

Very good care home. All staff are very caring and professional. My husband seems pretty happy and contented. He has only been in the care home for a couple of months but seems happy.

My dad stayed at Fairfield over the Christmas period, he was admitted for emergency respite. The home manager went above and beyond to facilitate Dad’s stay, at very short notice. Dad appeared very content and happy, the staff spent time talking to him and offering reassurance. The food smelt wonderful
and Dad always appeared to clear his plate, I would highly recommend Fairfield the manager and her team.

Lovely home from home. Mum went to Fairfield for a week over Christmas and stayed in one of their new en-suite bedrooms. The staff were attentive welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble for them and showed genuine respect for the elderly. Special mention of the experienced carers there
and from the first day made mum feel welcomed, special and safe. The only downside for me was cosmetically in that the older part of the building on the ground floor lounge and dining area was tired with furniture well worn and both rooms in need of a total refurbishment which I understand is planned for this year. Other than that this home is a real find providing that friendly homely feel with high standards of cleanliness and care. It’s because of the superb staff who work there and who genuinely really care about their residents - you can sense the happy atmosphere when you first walk in which is important to live in that sort of environment to lift your day!

We had the need to use the wonderful services on offer, at Fairfield, during Christmas week 2023. My Dad has dementia and we needed a few days respite for him, the staff and management were incredible, both caring and understanding to our family and our father's needs, Dad was well cared for, comfortable
and given privacy and was supported with anything he needed. The staff were friendly, we had great reports of the food and dad enjoyed the outside space for supervised fresh air, his room was comfortable, and had a homely aesthetic, a very nice and safe wet room and comfortable accommodation. From a family point of view, visiting was no trouble, staff were happy to escort us to him and very accommodating. The location was easy to find and on a main transport route, the home itself was impeccably clean and neat. If we need to use respite services again, we won't hesitate to use Fairfield. Thanks a million for supporting the family in our time of need and taking care of our Dad.

I thoroughly recommend Fairfield House. My wife transferred to this care home when her needs became more complex. Every staff member has been so wonderfully caring, compassionate and understanding of my wife and I. Always so friendly and ready to give a full report of how my wife is fairing.
I rest
easier knowing my wife is receiving excellent care with such patience, making sure the needs of my wife, however small, are met as far as possible. During my regular visits, it never seems like they are just following a routine but genuinely trying to give my wife the best quality of life she can have.
I cannot praise all the staff and management enough.
The treatment of residents as though they are their own family members is heartwarming.

After my mother was a bit concerned about going into nursing care, the experience has been amazing. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and kind. From asking for a hairdresser to having her hair done the next day, nothing is too much trouble, a lovely, friendly, homely home. From my point of view,
after seeing her in other homes, this home is on another level, from the amazing management to every member of staff. I can have my mind at ease knowing she is being well cared for by an amazing team.

I have visited my friend at Fairfield House, and I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful with a smile on their faces, on one occasion I met a lovely lady who I believe is the Deputy Care Manager who was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. On my visit to the home, I was really

My mum was a resident at Fairfield House for around 4 months. During her time spent there, she was very well cared for by dedicated staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, despite mum being challenging at times, they handled her with care and compassion. The home is exceptionally clean and fresh
smelling. We lost mum in November - during her last few hours we were able to be with her. The staff were fantastic, keeping us well watered and fed during the night. I will always be grateful for the love and care that mum received in their care, and can highly recommend Fairfield.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to visit my Auntie for quite some time due to distance and Covid-19 restrictions but thanks to the activity coordinator, who has been fantastic during this pandemic, I have been able to speak to my Auntie via zoom. Claire is a qualified registered general nurse with more than 6 years’ experience within the NHS specialising in patients living with dementia. During this time she also specialised in supporting and assessing student nurses within their placements. Most of her time spent working within the care sector Claire gained experience in the provision of dignified dementia care by exhibiting genuine respect for the person, and understanding that they are all unique individuals in a distinctive situation. Before joining the team at Fairfield, she spent time working at the Weldmar hospice care inpatient unit specialising in individuals living with terminal illnesses, this helped expand her knowledge in palliative care and symptom control.
