I cared for her and my father for several years at their home and mine until this became impossible.
My mother was in her wandering phase on arrival here, the staff are very good and my mother seems content.

During this time she also specialised in supporting and assessing student nurses within their placements. Most of her time spent working within the care sector Claire gained experience in the provision of dignified dementia care by exhibiting genuine respect for the person, and understanding that they are all unique individuals in a distinctive situation. Before joining the team at Fairfield, she spent time working at the Weldmar hospice care inpatient unit specialising in individuals living with terminal illnesses, this helped expand her knowledge in palliative care and symptom control.
