Mum has been at Acacia for over a year now, so we’ve had a lot of experience with Acacia and all the staff that work here. First and foremost, they are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The staff are very friendly, and you feel that they really care about your loved ones and all the residents.
It feels like a partnership, which makes us feel very comfortable when we are not there, knowing that Mum is in good hands. The home is very clean, and Mum is always clean and well-presented whenever we visit. Plus, they arrange activities and entertainment for the residents, which are great opportunities to attend and join in as a family member.
A big thanks to everyone who works at Acacia – from the management to the carers, the kitchen staff and all the support staff. We really appreciate all that you do to make this a comfortable, caring and safe space for Mum.

I am writing this review to support Acacia Care Centre in the work that they are undertaking with the elderly and those in need. My sister has been on prescription drugs from the age of 14 and suffers from mental health challenges. She has been in and out of both hospital and care homes for many years.
She was accepted into Acacia Care Centre by the manager and has been looked after by two of the staff members. When everyone wanted to give up on her, they stood by her. I would recommend Acacia Care Centre. From the manager to the two staff members who look after her, the professionalism, advice and welcoming smile you get from the reception team. They are capable employees who have shown a loving and caring spirit. They are thoughtful, professional and very understanding. I would not hesitate to recommend the care home to families seeking a safe space for their loved ones.

The staff are very caring and I am very happy/reassured with the care my husband receives. They are very kind to me and my family and make us feel very welcome. My husband has a lovely room and I find it very comforting when I visit him (daily). We've added our own touches so it feels homely. The home
is very bright and spacious, with lovely gardens, great handyman, gardener and chefs cook wonderful food.

My father has been a resident at Acacia Care Centre for many years. There are numerous activities for residents along with good food and great facilities. He goes out regularly on trips arranged by the family. The staff are always kind and helpful in getting him ready and taking care of his needs for
all his excursions. His room is clean and tidy and the en suite bathroom is always very clean too. The management is attentive and very helpful.

My mum has been living at Acacia Care Centre for almost three years now and I can say she has been receiving the best care. My Dad moved to Acacia Care Centre about a week ago now and in comparison to the place that he was previously at, I can already see and feel the difference in the care. From personal hygiene to socialisation, to food and to the well treatment and encouragement. This place is so nice, he is always fresh,
fed and is happy. All staff from admin to nurses to maintenance and cleaners have been so lovely!

Led by a good, efficient manager. Experienced and kind to all residents' needs. The entertainment team are engaging, thoughtful and the residents look forward to the planned daily activities. Housekeeping is excellent, rooms are cleaned daily and laundry is always good and efficient. The care and support
from staff is of a high standard and any issues are always listened to and actioned appropriately.

On entrance this care home is warm, friendly and clean, lots of information on hand if needed. On entering the floor I needed I was welcomed by lovely staff, quiet and very clean, my friend looked happy with a big smile.

Acacia Care Centre has been amazing with supporting all our family as our family member transferred from hospital to a residential setting for the first time. They were so kind and helpful at a time when it was most needed. I would like to fully reassure that all our fears of what could happen never
materialised and we are so happy and grateful that our family member is so happy. The staff there are the magic that help you see your loved one adapt in a home-from-home environment. We feel that they are happy, thriving and the staff were quick and eager to really get us all and then fine-tune the care. We were very grateful that we secured a place at Acacia and want to thank the team for the high-quality authentic care and sense of community they create.

The care home is very welcoming, clean and very professionally run. My Auntie has settled in well. She says staff treat her very well. My Auntie has gained quite a bit of weight, may be due to medication. It would be nice to have more physical exercise.

Nurses very good, facilities and food good. Good activities and activities staff. Reception always helpful and friendly. Manager always approachable. The only negative is fixtures and fittings a bit 'tired' and maintenance not what it could be ie broken furniture, window latches.

The team we patient and extremely professional every time. I was particularly impressed when my husband became grumpy and rude to one of the staff, the staff remained calm, did not show any anger, acted professionally.

Angela Christian

Job Title: Home Manager

I have worked with The Future Care Group for over two years. Initially, as Deputy Manager at Albany Lodge where I enjoyed the challenge of overseeing a large successful team who were dedicated to caring for over 100 residents within the home. Most recently I have been promoted to become the home manager of Acacia Care Centre and look forward to working with the team to achieve overall good in our next inspection report. As a nurse, I know the importance of delivering the very best care possible. I feel it is most important to involve our residents in creating their care plans to enable us to provide the care they want and need.
When I am away from work, I relax by spending time with my family and enjoy reading, cooking and walks.

I have over 30 years of experience in nursing and have been in management role in care establishments for about 10 years. I look forward to utilizing my wealth of expertise at the Acacia Care Centre. I have worked with the Future Care Group for 30 years. I started off as a Domestic Assistant and worked my way through to be Head of Housekeeping and now I am the Home’s Administrator. I have enjoyed looking after the home’s cleanliness or assisting in other departments of the Home including Chef duties, taking care of providing nutritious meals for our residents. Over the past two years I have been part of Administration team working as an Administrator and looking after the reception. In my spare time I enjoy playing bingo and spending time with friends and family.

Job Title: Lifestyle Lead

I joined the Acacia Care team in 2014, initially as a healthcare assistant. This role provided valuable insights into the unique needs and individuality of all our residents. In late 2020, I transitioned to the role of a lifestyle assistant, and this year, I am grateful to have assumed the position of Lifestyle Lead.


My inspiration to work with the elderly stems from a close relationship with my grandmother, and my passion for the well-being of others has been ingrained in me since childhood. I take pleasure in spending time with residents, engaging in conversations, and learning more about their lives. Discovering their interests, hobbies, and needs enables me to plan a diverse and engaging daily activities schedule. This approach ensures residents remain actively involved in social and uplifting activities.


While devising new ideas can be challenging, the reward comes when these ideas come together. Bringing a smile to a resident's face is something I cherish and find immensely gratifying.

Sleman Hassan

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

I have over 20 years’ experience of working in maintenance engineering. Throughout my career I developed a wide range of skills in plumbing, electrical, locksmith, painting and general building maintenance. We have a great team here, at Acacia Care Centre. I particularly enjoy liaising with residents and their relatives which enables me to make repairs in a timely manner and keep our residents comfortable.
Outside of my work life I like spending time with my family and skydiving.

Job Title: Head of Housekeeping

I have worked with the Future Care Group for 15 years, initially as a member of the housekeeping team. My extensive housekeeping experience enabled me to progress to the Head of Housekeeping role. My priority is to keep the home clean and hygienic to high standard with assistance of hard-working team of housekeepers. I enjoy daily interactions with our residents and their families which makes my work worthwhile. In my free time I love spending time with my grandchildren. I also like playing bingo and going away for breaks.
