Werrington Lodge Care Home offers both residential and nursing care in a picturesque village setting, just ten minutes from Peterborough city centre.

The home provides expert dementia care within their Memory Lane community, and provides 24 hour care to all residents. Werrington Lodge also boasts an in-house hairdressing salon, two lounges, beautiful gardens and an elegantly decorated dining room in which residents enjoy fine dining experiences.

Each resident receives their own carefully tailored care plan to ensure their personal preferences and needs are being met. The full time activities team organise a range of daily activities for the residents to enjoy including, arts and crafts, performances from entertainers, live music, outings in the minibus to local attractions as well as themed events.

The home has a strong focus on engaging with the local community and building strong links with a variety of venues, clubs and organisations. Residents enjoy heading out regularly to the local pub 'The Blue Bell', Rev Susan Fear from Werrington Parish Church visits every month providing Holy Communion, a local 'Pets As Therapy' dog Blossom visits bi-weekly.

My mother-in-law was only in your care for three days before she died, following discharge from the hospital. We have been overwhelmed by the care and compassion shown to us and her husband whilst she was there. The quality of standard of care was outstanding, which is helping us accept our loss, knowing
her last days and hours were spent with love and support. Thank you so much.

A new general manager was appointed in April. Since then, Werrington Lodge has more residents and more nursing and caring staff. How successful and beneficial the new management is, remains to be seen. It is the time of a new broom! The jury is out!

Despite only being a resident of the Lodge for a short time, my father has settled much quicker than we ever expected. This is mainly down to the exceptional care he receives from the manager and her team of outstanding staff. Dad loves the food and endless supply of coffee, always served with a smile.
In addition, all the staff team were of excellent support to the whole family when Mum passed away. We feel we could not have chosen a better healthcare facility for Dad - "home from home".

My father is a new resident (one month), and since his arrival to the present date, it can be simply put - excellent in all aspects and far exceeded our expectations. He, without prompt, continually praised, especially the staff and food. I have visited the Lodge on most days, so consider I can reflect

My mother has settled into Memory Lane and she appears calm and happy with her surroundings. The Memory Lane team are excellent and very attentive to my mother's needs. She is happy with her bedroom which looks onto the courtyard garden and it is always clean.

Mum was in the home temporarily for her delirium which was very bad. Though the overall experience has been a bad one in her mind, due to the illness, the staff took excellent care of her, keeping me informed every step of the way, including when she was rushed to hospital in the early hours twice in
one week. After a few weeks, they literally brought my mum back from the dark place she was in, looked after her brilliantly. Due to covid and distance from the home, it was difficult for me to visit so a visit had to be booked many weeks in advance, but this was a small matter. The visiting pod was lovely and you almost forgot the glass partition was there at all.
Mum has since left Werrington for a permanent place nearer me but I won't forget what the wonderful staff did for her and how well they cared for her, especially Mabel.
I was also very very impressed at being asked how I was when I called too. Good to regard family especially with Delirium cases so thank you.

This care home via all staff, whatever their position or function, consistently provide the highest standards of care and compassion one could wish for. Please note because of Covid restrictions, one cannot enter the building so some marks are given as 'good' and not 'excellent' because of this.

The experience I and my family found was really good. All the staff, carers nurses and everyone was friendly, welcoming and helpful.
When you phone whoever answers the phone was friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. My mum always looked clean and well cared for. During lockdown when you
phoned it was never too much trouble and had time for you. My mum's end of life care was excellent, the nursing staff kept me informed and caring. I was allowed to see my mum and my family. We have nothing but praise and thanks for there work.

Since coming to Werrington Lodge at the end of April this year I have been made to feel very welcome. I have found the staff very caring and friendly, they have looked after all my nursing needs. The facilities and activities are good. The food is enjoyable and nothing is too much trouble to accommodate
my dietary needs.
Everyone works extremely hard to make every day a pleasant experience for the residents.

Until I stayed after a hip operation last Mach I had no idea how dedicated and hardworking the care staff is. I visited my husband almost daily before that, but it gave me no idea of all that goes into caring for a person, although I had taken care, with home help, of my husband at home. I found the
lunches delicious and the care and staff marvelous! Everywhere always lovely and clean. My husband is happy to be so well looked after in the care home. I teased the staff I would b emoving in. They said to take their holidays! I can be difficult you see!

We came to celebrate my Auntie's 90th Birthday. I have to say the care home did her proud. They put on a lovely spread. The home itself was very clean, well maintained and looked after. Hi there my name is Nancy, I am the General Manager here at Werrington Lodge. I look forward to welcoming you into our home.


My name is Nancy Simeon, and I have 26 years of experience working as a nurse. I relocated to the UK in 2003 and completed my nurse adaptation course at a care home in London. Since transitioning as an overseas nurse and receiving my NMC pin number, I have never looked back and have worked exclusively within the care home sector.


I have worked as a registered nurse in both nursing and dementia care homes. Additionally, I have experience working as a deputy manager in a residential care home. Over the past seven years, I have worked in a multi-site care home as the clinical lead and deputy manager. I am passionate about the care we can offer to our elderly population.


It has been an amazing journey meeting new people from all over the world and working with a dedicated and supportive team from Werrington Lodge to create memories and a loving warm and friendly atmosphere


My priority is to ensure the well-being and expectations of our residents and their families are met at Werrington Lodge and to promote growth and development within our Werrington Lodge team.
