Dad has only been a resident for three months, in that time, his care has been kind and supportive. Staff are approachable and friendly and will always find time to answer any question.

Obviously, with Covid restrictions, I can't comment on the inside, room or facilities but what I have seen is a happy clean environment. Any concerns I have, have been dealt with. They treat Mum with dignity and make her feel safe since the death of my dad who passed away in Norbury Court on the 4th
May.

My mother has been at Norbury Court resident for over six years and has consistently received the highest standard of care. I have never had any cause for complaint.

Ths staff are very friendly and efficient. They listen to requests and act upon them promptly. They are very good at communicating the needs of the resident to the family members. The staff know the residents well, and good care is given. Norbury Court facilities are clean and well maintained as are
the residents. I have great confidence in the professionalism of the staff and management in these difficult times.

I have had a wonderful experience with Norbury over the last months. I am so lucky I have been able to visit 80% of the time from August to the present date. There has always been safe areas for visiting in every way. It came as a shock that my husband became so bad with his dementia after another large
bleed on the brain, but he has been cared for with respect.

Everyone involved with the running of the home is helpful, caring and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and Norbury Court seems to be run very efficiently. Residents appear to be comfortable and happy. I am extremely impressed with every aspect of Norbury Court and would be
more than happy to recommend to others. A difficult time has been made very much easier! Thank you.

As always, compassionate care for my mum has been exceptional, especially as Mum caught the Covid-19 virus. Support and tender care for Mum helped her recover and as a family, we are extremely grateful to all the staff. Also, communication with our family at this time was wonderful as we were also dealing
with the bereavement of a beloved daughter.

All the staff seem pleasant and friendly. Not really had a chance to look around myself due to Covid-19 safety precautions. No bad reports from dad.

My mum is living at Norbury Court. She celebrates her 88th birthday on 21st February and on Saturday 15th February I travelled with my husband from our home in Wiltshire to visit and begin those celebrations. My sisters with their families were joining us along with my daughter and two granddaughters.
I telephoned in advance to book a private space and was promised the conservatory would be allocated for our use.
On arrival, we were met by the housekeeper who had kept her promise and gone above our expectations by providing a food table, balloons, banners and a trolley of refreshments for adults and children. We had a wonderful time. You can imagine the mess! But the housekeeping team said they would sort it which they did. Nothing was too much trouble. All done with smiles and humour. We truly appreciate all the efforts that were made to help us give our mum the birthday party we hoped for. Thank you to everyone. Brilliant job!

Mum appears well cared for but due to dementia she often forgets who we are, she keeps asking for her mother or she wants us to take her home to where her children are.

The room is bright, airy and clean. The bed looks comfy, safe and clean. The sheets are changed daily. My Uncle is happy, clean, well shaven and well dressed. The staff are kind, happy and very caring and this has made all the difference.

Very bright and cheery building, well maintained by the lovely handyman. The nurses I met in the 10 days mum was there seemed very supportive and approachable. Care staff are lacking in the skills needed for the job, especially the care part.

Dad moved from another care home. Wow what a difference. Professional staff and management. Cleanliness is brilliant. The care staff are very helpful but remain professional. Dad always looks clean and has his own clothes on which to us as a family is important - it looks like my dad. His care is tailored
to him and he is a lot more responsive in the new home and he seems happier.

Overall happy with the care given.
Staff are friendly and helpful and show interest in mum. Mum's mobility has decreased since moving to Norbury Court and I believe this is due to her not being walked regularly - as this requires 2 carers and is time-consuming.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.647)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.647) out of 10 for Norbury Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.180 for Norbury Court is calculated as follows: ( (59 Excellents x 5) + (37 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (12 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 111 Ratings = 4.18

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.467 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Norbury Court is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.667

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
