Staff are friendly and well-qualified, understanding the need to communicate with residents and their loved ones. There is a strong focus on health, safety and quality nutrition.

In-depth mental health training allows the team to perform highly on more complex needs, the value of which is enhanced by homely comforts and a pleasant atmosphere.

Pleased with the care and attention Mum has received. On the odd occasion when we needed extra help we were listened to and action taken very quickly to obtain a satisfactory outcome. They are as supportive of me, as they are mum, and explain everything to me.

Bridgedale House is a very special place. Each resident is treated as a unique person, loved, respected and cared for by every member of staff. The home is full of smiles and happy laughter and Mum settled in well. Friends and relatives are welcomed and supported 24/7 and are treated as part of the
wider Bridgedale family. Standards are exceptionally high and the ethos of kindness and care, which is immediately obvious on entering the home, comes directly from the managers, who are friendly, approachable and responsive. Rooms are nicely decorated and furnished; the food is excellent and the programme of activities, which changes monthly, is amazing, providing fun, stimulation, exercise and lots of treats. There is a lovely garden which the residents can enjoy on nice days; visits to local parks and museums are also arranged. Communication with families is also first-class and there is a private social media page where we can see photographs of Mum having the time of her life.

A lovely place which, on first entering to look for my mum, ticked all the boxes for her dementia care. My mum has settled in and as a family, we are all so pleased with her care and support from all of the staff at Bridgedale House.

My father had been in a care facility in Leeds following the death of my precious mum. We decided to move him to Sheffield after a number of issues had arisen. Two members of staff came to assess him in Leeds and couldn't have been kinder. We could not be more delighted with the care he has received
at Bridgedale. Without exception, the staff truly care for the residents. It's a happy and wholesome environment full of love and good humour.

My mum has been at Bridgedale House since February 2024. She was visited in hospital before being offered a place to make sure she could be supported and cared for. She was welcomed from day one, with kindness and professional care, with a smile. The staff demonstrate experience and knowledge, genuinely
wanting to make sure my mum is comfortable. Management communicates in a timely and confidential manner. They are professional, positive and approach any conversation with a friendly and reassuring tone.
Bridgedale House is clean and bright as is my mum's room. The conservatory, patio and gardens are well-kept and attractive. My mum enjoys sitting outside with the beautiful and safe surroundings. There are stimulating and engaging activities for each morning and afternoon. It is comforting to know that my mum is doing well, she feels safe and content with people who genuinely care for her.

Mum has been at Bridgedale for four months now and I couldn't be more pleased with all aspects of her care. The staff are genuinely caring and have taken time to get to know her well. They are always friendly and welcoming when I visit and mum has built good relationships with them all. I also find
the management extremely approachable and happy to chat.
The building is always spotless, as is Mum's room, and the garden is beautiful. When the weather has allowed, residents have also been able to sit out on the patio. Mum also enjoys sitting in the conservatory and enjoying the view of the garden.
The food always looks amazing and Mum loves her meals! Themed meals also take place and the tables are always beautifully decorated with great attention to detail.
Since moving into Bridgedale, I feel that Mum has gained an extra family; one who cares for her and wants the best for her. It is reassuring for me to have peace of mind that she is so well looked after.

Everything about Bridgedale House is amazing. The facilities are great but what makes it fantastic are the staff. They are all so compassionate, caring, and skilled but more than that treat residents as the important individuals they are. They take time to learn about the resident's lives so that their

Excellent care home - friendly staff and a very homely feel. Always doing activities for the residents. It's not flashy like other care homes we looked at, but that's not what is important for someone with dementia - it's how the place is run and the care the staff give. Can't fault it!

My mother moved to this home from a different (well-considered) service provider. The difference in her care is extremely pleasing. Her needs are anticipated by the many, extremely kind carers. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff when we, as relatives, have queries, they are always friendly and
well informed, which is a great difference from our previous experience. I could not recommend this care home more highly. I cannot imagine a better place for my mother to be spending her latter and highly confused days.

Having visited many care homes in my career, I chose Bridgedale House because I felt my mother would settle well in this environment. The home is truly a home. It is a well-kept and caring environment with a caring team whose priority is to ensure residents are happy and well cared for.
The team work
well together and in the best interest of residents. It is lovely to see staff chatting with residents and dancing and singing with them at times.
There is a well-planned timetable with optional activities and plenty of music. Staff regularly take residents on outings. The menu is well planned with tasty-looking meals which Mum enjoys.
Staff are patient, manage residents' worries and quickly respond to signs of illness.
My mother has settled well and is happy and healthier. The anxieties of living at home with a condition are forgotten.
Choosing a care home for a close relative is a huge decision, thankfully family members are equally happy that this is the right place for Mum.

Moving my mum from home via hospital to Bridgedale was one of the most difficult decisions I've had to make but I'm glad I did.
The staff took time with her to reassure and encourage her to join in with the Bridgedale community at her own pace.
As a family we care for three elderly relatives in different
parts of the country which is hard to manage at times so knowing that Mum is safe is so reassuring. I can also visit as much as I am able and just be her daughter and not her carer. I am truly grateful for the high standard of individual care, the good food options and understanding of her needs and preferences.
I feel that she is genuinely cared for by the excellent team.

My mother has been a resident at Bridgedale House since early April 2023.
As a family, we are so grateful to all the staff for providing such wonderful care for Mum. The level of care, attention on a one-to-one basis and support given to the residents is second to none. The home's activities and facilities
are way beyond our expectations and the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it a pleasure to visit Mum there. The food, cleanliness of the home and individual residents' rooms are excellent and we couldn't wish for a better environment for Mum to live in. We would happily and highly recommend Bridgedale House to any families seeking residential care for their loved ones.

Bridgedale feels like and for my Mum, certainly is, a home from home. It has a warm atmosphere generated by the wonderful amazing people who work there. It doesn’t feel like an institution at all, more like a family run hotel.
Really didn’t know such a care home existed before I came to look around
with my sister. We knew straight away this was the place for Mum and we’re so relieved. She settled down within a day and started her new life there.
Every single person I’ve met who works there is totally committed to the residents and making them feel safe, comfortable, happy, entertained, valued, and comforted if they are having a bad moment or mood swing.
Just cannot speak highly enough of Bridgedale- in every respect it is excellent.
I’m so glad my wonderful mum is there and living a content and sociable life regardless of her illness.
Can’t think of one negative point to make.

She has established intergenerational visits with the local schools on a regular basis and introduced ‘resident of the day’ to Bridgedale. “Working at Bridgedale House, it is like having a second family. Richard joined the team in 2024. Before joining us here at Bridgedale Richard had almost 40 years’ experience as an electrician and in the building trade. Richard is ‘the man who can fix it’. He enjoys helping the residents and staff with any requests they may have. “I love being a helping hand in every corner of the home and take pride in my work around Bridgedale because it allows me to ensure the environment is safe, functional and comfortable for both residents, staff and visitors”.

Evan Lindsay

Job Title: Head Chef

Joined: 2021

Evan began his career in care when he was 16 and joined the team in 2021. Before coming to Bridgedale he had worked in many different roles within the care sector. Evan is our head chef with a real passion for cooking. Evan takes pride, time and attention to making mealtimes the highlight of the day for our residents. Evan enjoys taking the time to work alongside the team to put on themed lunches, afternoon teas, and seasonal parties for everyone to enjoy. “I love being the head chef here at Bridgedale House. Food makes people happy, and I love to see people happy.”

Sandra Shaw

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Joined: 2017

Sandra joined the team in 2017 before joining Bridgedale Sandra had worked in several different roles within the healthcare sector, Sandra enjoys spending time not only assisting the chef in the kitchen but also assisting our residents and helping them to maintain as much independence as possible. “I enjoy helping serve nutritious meals to our residents and love to be able to offer a helping hand, I pride myself in in creating a relaxed, personal atmosphere for our staff, residents and relatives.
