My mother has settled remarkably quickly at Bridgedale and as a family, we have been delighted with the warmth and helpfulness of all members of staff and the attention to detail and kindness of the manager. Bridgedale is a beautifully kept home, always clean and well decorated, with lovely views and
gardens. It has a varied and creative social programme. Mum really enjoys the frequent music and dance sessions.

Management and staff are always welcoming and responsive to requests and concerns. Care staff are always ready to help and support residents. The general atmosphere around the home is one of friendliness and comfort. Residents are encouraged to socialise and participate in activities. The standard of
cleanliness is unrivalled. Freshly prepared meals are varied and appetizing and served in pleasant surroundings.

I have been delighted with the care given to my aunt at Bridgedale. I have arrived unannounced at all times of the day to find same standard of care - friendly, attentive staff, pleasant, clean surroundings and a settled and happy aunt. Staff are always approachable and keen to listen and respond to
any concerns and queries. Staff seem to have time to spend with the residents and there are various activities on offer. A visit to Bridgedale will quickly show the quality of care and attention given not only to each individual resident but also to the general community and surroundings.

We have visited many care homes in various parts of the country and Bridgedale House is by far the best. The staff are welcoming, patient and caring and my cousin, who suffers from dementia, has only nice things to say about them. Although confused at times, she feels safe and looked after. When we
visit, she is always clean and well 'turned out'. We were very apprehensive about placing my cousin in a home and expected her to complain, but she has settled and eats well. Bridgedale House has far exceeded our expectations and the family are comforted to know that our cousin is in good hands.

My mother has later-stage Alzheimer's disease. Bridgedale House provides a pleasant environment and respect for her as an individual. She settled well, is contented and has improved overall well-being since moving there. She particularly enjoys sitting in the Orangery, looking out over the attractive
gardens.
Thanks to the staff, who I find unfailingly kind, patient, thoughtful and considerate, I have peace of mind about my mother's safety and health for the first time in many years. She has regained her dignity. Visiting is a pleasure and our relationship improved now that her extreme anxieties have diminished since leaving her own home. Having previously been lonely at times, my mother benefits from the company and stimulation provided by the presence of other residents and efforts of the staff.
Concerns I address on her behalf are responded to with prompt action or explanation.
I unreservedly recommend Bridgedale House to anyone looking for high-quality residential dementia care.

Two years in and my Aunt still loves living here, as she is 95 that's some recommendation.
I have found all the staff very professional and very caring but most of all respectful to residents and relatives.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Bridgedale House is kept immaculately clean, the food is good
and the entertainment is often excellent.

My Mum now aged 95 years has been in Bridgedale House for 3 years. She has Dementia which has improved whilst she has been in the care of the wonderful staff in Bridgedale. She is very content and continually says she is happy and well cared for. She tells me the staff are very kind never get cross
and are very patient. She says the food is great. She also says I am not to worry about her since she is confident we could travel anywhere in the country and not find anywhere better than Bridgedale.
Her comments help me to feel happy and relaxed, this, in turn, makes my life with my husband and close family stress free. My brother lives in America and he speaks to Mum every few days
Every time I visit I am amazed at the welcome I receive from everyone, the staff are now part of our extended family.

My mother, a resident at Bridgedale House has had several emerging medical needs during the last months which have been very effectively dealt with because of the diligence, professionalism and kindness of the carers who also sought to reassure my mum (and me) throughout. The speed with which they spotted
symptoms, monitored them and rapidly and efficiently followed procedures was not only impressive but also made a difficult situation much better. And all of this was underlined with loving kindness and emotional support. Thank you Bridgedale House!

This is a beautiful care home where the residents are treated as individuals with dignity, respect and love. My 87 yr old mother was a resident at Bridgedale House for the last 16 months of her life and she passed away in April. Since mum suffered from dementia, we were warned that we could only expect her condition to worsen, as the disease increased its hold and her mind and personality would gradually fade
from view. Having said that, I was always surprised how these effects were reduced due to the care, compassion and devotion of the staff.
I found all staff to be kind and courteous; not only with my mother, but with each resident and visitor alike.
They ensured my mother's remaining days were in a safe and comfortable environment, where she was kept free from anxiety and stress. I can only offer all the staff & management my highest commendation for their relentless professionalism and patience.
Bridgedale House should be held as the gold standard for all care homes and I thank you on behalf of my family for all the kindness, help and compassion you showed my mother.

Bridgedale House - I very much doubt if there are better care homes in the United Kingdom! My Sister has been a resident since September 2016 and in all honesty, she has never looked better (Over the past 5 Years or so). The care and absolute professionalism of the ENTIRE staff are commendable.


The

environment, decor, furnishings etc are of the highest standard. Cleanliness and hygiene cannot be bettered. All aspects of the catering are excellent, with plenty of choices well above what could reasonably be expected.


The staff at all times are most courteous and friendly and willing to help/assist in any way shape or form. Nothing is too much trouble. From the Management team through to the maintenance the atmosphere is cordial and pleasant to deal with at all times.


All things considered, BRIDGEDALE is superb and manages to cater extremely well for all the residents and in no way must it be associated with the recent adverse comments.

My mum-in-law has been a resident of Bridgedale for 2 years, following several falls and illnesses requiring short stays in hospital. We knew she could no longer manage to live on her own so looked around our area of Sheffield to find a Care Home where we would be happy for her to live permanently.
We had heard about Bridgedale from a friend who recommended it as her Mum was living there. We have been extremely happy with every aspect of care at Bridgedale. My mum-in-law is much happier and healthier than when she was living on her own. Her Alzheimers seems to have slowed down as she has people around her and is much more stimulated. The home is a lovely old house, carefully renovated to provide the necessary facilities and with fabulous views over the garden and hills in the distance. That feeling of space has a very calming effect. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, making it a real home from home.

From when my mother moved in about 4 months ago, the staff and management have been consistently caring and welcoming. They are open with us, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. My mother has settled in well and, while it's hard for us all to come to terms with a life of increasing dementia, she
has a renewed smile about her. Bridgedale House has become a safe and comfortable place for her to be, and is somewhere where she can live a dignified life. All who work there "deserve a medal", as she would say.

Evan is our head chef with a real passion for cooking. Evan takes pride, time and attention to making mealtimes the highlight of the day for our residents. Evan enjoys taking the time to work alongside the team to put on themed lunches, afternoon teas, and seasonal parties for everyone to enjoy. “I love being the head chef here at Bridgedale House. Sandra joined the team in 2017 before joining Bridgedale Sandra had worked in several different roles within the healthcare sector, Sandra enjoys spending time not only assisting the chef in the kitchen but also assisting our residents and helping them to maintain as much independence as possible. “I enjoy helping serve nutritious meals to our residents and love to be able to offer a helping hand, I pride myself in in creating a relaxed, personal atmosphere for our staff, residents and relatives.
