Part of Avery Healthcare's growing portfolio, Hinckley House is the group's second care home in Leicestershire and has been modelled on a highly acclaimed sister care home near Nuneaton. Since its opening, the home has garnered a good reputation locally. It attracts residents across Leicestershire and neighbouring towns such as Burbage, Earl Shilton and Barwell.

Situated on Tudor Road and adjoining Richmond Park, the retirement home offers spacious bedrooms that feature en-suite walk-in showers and TVs, with some delivering views of the changing seasons.

Staff are friendly and approachable. Facilities and standard of care provided are good. The home tries to provide a range of activities and entertainment. Perhaps more access to and use of outside space could be arranged.

My Mum has been at Hinckley House care home for some time now and she really likes it. The carers are very supportive, professional and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. They are constantly encouraging Mum to interact more with other resident's at the home and they are always
cheerful.

My mum is very settled now, enjoying her days with friends she has made. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. there is usually an activity every day for Mum to do and special occasions are catered for ie. Christmas, birthdays. We are sure that she is well looked after and happy in the home.

Mum has been in Hinckley House Care Home for 15 months now. She settled well and is very content here. During April there has been lots going on celebrating sping and easter. The staff arrange so much for the residents which is stimulating and enjoyable for them. The staff treat the residents with respect
and dignity. I am very pleased with everything and am happy to say Mum is too.

This is a lovely residential care home. Staff across all levels from management, admin, seniors, care staff, activities, ancillary and catering do a first class job.
It’s never easy looking after people with complex needs and the challenges that dementia brings. But, the staff here have residents'
health and wellbeing at the forefront of what they do.
Despite a gradual deterioration in his dementia, I’m always reassured that Dad is looked after when he comes for respite and that in anything we need to be made aware of the home is quick to get in touch. As always, thank you for giving my step-mother the much needed break and Dad his mini holidays.

As a family we have been very happy with Mum's care, always treated as part of the home family. We always found the home to be clean with good facilities, mum enjoyed the many varied activities offered, the food was excellent. The staff were lovely, warm and friendly, also very caring. My mother has been a resident since 2019 and has settled in well, enjoying a good relationship with the staff. The home is comfortable and always clean and fresh, and the food is very good. She has also enjoyed the pre covid activities, especially the outings and any musical entertainment, which has
been much missed by us too. We have always been made welcome to visit at any time (lockdowns permitting) and found it easy to keep in contact with Mum during lockdowns. We have recently been visiting daily since Mum has been recovering from an operation, and have seen at close hand the wonderful care that she has received from the staff who treat her as if she were their own mother.
I wouldn't (and don't) hesitate to recommend Hinckley House to anyone looking for a safe and caring home.

The situation has now returned to "normal" at Hinckley House Care Home after much of the period from Christmas being in "lockdown", since Christmas 2021 due to Covid19 and other issues. My dad resides on the 1st floor which specializes in dementia care. He is "loved" by the carers who always treat him
with respect and regularly make a fuss of him. Dad has been there since the end of September 2021 and settled in quite quickly and appears to be genuinely happy!

My mother has been a resident at Hinckley House since October 2020. My mother always seems happy and contented and well cared for. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to support her. I am made aware of any issues concerning her and always notified of medical issues and consulted if required.
There
is a good degree of activities for the residents and occasional outdoor visits that are appreciated. Although these have obviously been impacted by Covid.

My dad was a resident at Hinckley House since May 2021 until he passed away in April 2022. He received the most wonderful care from highly skilled and caring staff. I always felt the staff really cared about Dad and did their best always to make sure his needs were met. We noticed training was available
to up skill staff. Myself and the rest of our family were always made to feel welcome and were given so much support ourselves particularly in Dad's final weeks. When he was able, Dad enjoyed the enrichment activities provided. Dad's room and bathroom were spacious and had a great view of the garden and park. The communal lounge is bright and airy and dining was akin to eating in a hotel. Everywhere was always lovely and clean. We couldn’t have wished for a better home for our Dad's final year and are so grateful for all the care and support provided. Thank you to all in the staff team.

She checked that our family member resident was prepared for us to enter the room, moved the safety mattress, found a vase for the flowers, updated us about an ongoing health

Since moving my Mum into Hinckley House Care Home in February 2019, I have had complete peace of mind. All of the staff have shown a very high level of care towards my Mum and work hard to help her in every way they can. As I live overseas, I don’t get to visit her as often as I would like, but the
management team have done everything to make my visits as easy and smooth as possible. I would highly recommend this home to any of my friends with elderly parents needing care.

Due to my Mum entering hospital for a second time in six weeks, she became very frail and unable to return home. At very short notice a place had to be arranged for her to be discharged from hospital to a care home. Hinckley House had been recommended to me, I contacted the manager, who reassured me
and guided me through the process. Mum went into Hinckley House a few days before Christmas. Due to COVID, this was (and still is) a very difficult time as I wasn't able to see my Mum and explain what was going to happen, nor was I able to look round Hinckley House beforehand. I was obviously worried but I have found all the staff helpful, supportive, caring and professional. They booked a Skype call for both Christmas and New Years Day and are always happy to take my phone calls enquiring about my Mum. I can't thank them enough for the care and support that they are giving to my Mum in what are also difficult times for them.
