My husband has been a resident at Wraysbury House for 5 and a half years, he is very settled and happy in his home. I find the staff always very helpful and courteous. The management always make themselves available to me and help with any queries I have. The activities are also very good and he enjoys
all of them.

The home is very friendly and as my father has Alzheimer's he needs a lot of encouragement which all the staff give him. They have a person that does activities, he is encouraged to join in. We can visit when we like, take him out. There is also a lovely garden he can go in when it is warmer. He is
treated with dignity and kindness from all the staff and we are given support by the management.

I am very content to recommend Wraybury House.
The care is above average, the home is well-staffed, the carers are all attentive and kind and I have witnessed genuine respect and dignity for all the residents. The facilities are good in that the residents are always safe and comfortable. Meals are
nutritious and varied. The staff are long-serving which indicates to me a happy and contented staff body. The management is attentive and always available when I have wanted to speak about any minor issue.

My husband was a resident for two and a half years and for all of this time he was happy and content. This was down solely to the amazing care he received. All the carers treated him with the utmost dignity and always showed such compassion. Overall, their attitude to caring for someone living with
dementia is exemplary. During my husbands final days I know I wouldn't have found better care anywhere. Not only did they care very well for him they cared for me just as they always had done. The home has well-appointed rooms and very clean and well maintained with a lovely garden which is accessible to all residents. The owner takes a very hands-on approach and is always available together with the manager if you need to raise any issues. I would recommend Wraysbury House without any doubt to anyone I know.

Since my husband arrived he has been very happy to be looked after by the staff who care with caring humour and although he has good health his vascular dementia makes his speech is very bad.

Overall I find the care given to my friend is very good. However, occasionally I find her nails and hands are not properly looked after. Also, I provided an apron to be used at mealtimes to keep clothes clean and this is not used. My friend always took great care with her personal appearance and clothes
and this is still very important to her. Staff are always polite, pleasant and generally respond positively to my concerns.

Sue has 47 years of experience and specialises in Dementia care and End of life care. Sue promotes person-centred care and works alongside her team, where she can integrate with relatives and residents.


In March 2022 we won Best Care Team in West Sussex.


Sue holds a Diploma level 5, dementia pathway.
D32/D33 NVQ assessor.
Member of WSPIC.

Julie Gosling

Job Title: Head of care

Joined: 2020

Julie is the Head of Care at Wraysbury house. She has worked her way up from senior care assistant.


Her skills include Care planning, relatives reviews and working on the floor managing Care provision on a daily basis.


Julie is working towards her Diploma Level 5 in Care.
Julie attends the WSPIC meetings with the manager to broaden her knowledge and skills.
