Albert Suites is London’s latest state-of-the-art nursing facility. Situated within a luxury retirement community, Battersea Place, are thirty exclusive suites designed to offer an enriched quality of life for discerning patients amidst a discreet and dignified provision of care.

An experienced, on-site nursing team are highly trained to manage a breadth of complex care needs and circumstances ranging from rehabilitation, short-term convalescence and post-operative support to long-term nursing or palliative care. Drawing on 35 years’ experience as an internationally renowned provider of outstanding care, Albert Suites is operated by LifeCare Residences, who are registered with and monitored by the Care Quality Commission.

Committed to delivering authentic choice, Albert Suites offer a host of hotel-inspired facilities from 24-hour room service to a chef-led menu that provides restaurant-plated meals, rich in nutritional value. Rehabilitation residents will also benefit from a hydro pool and specialist gym, while personalised physiotherapy programmes will aid recovery and well-being. Additional social stimulus is provided with a calendar of cultural events, organised by a full-time activities co-ordinator, through to regular outings in an accessibly designed minibus.

My mother who is a rather cantankerous Alzheimer’s patient is staying following an operation for a broken leg. Usually she complains about everything but is loving Albert Suites and being quite beautifully looked after and I was hugely impressed by her nurse. My sister had a problem with one member
of staff, who might have been temporary, but this was dealt with immediately.
I have nothing but praise for this care home.

Sadly from the time of arrival to the moment of leaving, things went wrong. As I left my laundry was locked in the washing machine - still not returned.
Rude staff; abusive shouting in the kitchen, many instances of the emergency button not being answered.
Thursday - the hottest day of the year, told
five minutes before lunch, 'You must eat in your room' - Why? - 'we need the garden and dining room for a party and you're not invited'!

Thank you for your review and I am very sorry that you did not have an enjoyable stay with us. Let me try and address the various points you raised:


I understand that you were asked to dine in your room because you had your dog with you. Whilst we welcome pets (and acknowledge the role they play in enhancing well-being), we also respect that not all residents share this sentiment and, accordingly, restrict pet access from communal areas such as the restaurant.


Regarding the emergency call bell, we have no record of your using this; you did use the routine bell but, on the several occasions I visited you (to check on your progress and well-being), you made no mention of any delay in staff responding to you, but I will investigate this.


As part of our commitment to creating a variety of entertainment sources for our residents, we did host a party whilst you were here. This was for all of our residents’ enjoyment, so I do not understand why you felt that you were not invited? There was a separate party for the residents who live in the apartments at Battersea Place - perhaps this is where the confusion has crept in? Unfortunately, we did have a one-off incident where catering staff raised their voices; this is unacceptable and upon being made aware of this, I apologised and refunded your family’s meal. We have since spoken with the staff concerned and supported them with further training.


It is my understanding that your laundry has been returned to you and that this has been resolved.


We do appreciate your feedback and would like to invite you and your wife for a complimentary meal in our restaurant by way of apology. Please let me know if you would like to take me up on this offer?
