The Alder House in Nuthall provides high-quality resident living facilities as well as dementia and respite care.

Residents benefit from comfortable and spacious bedrooms, complete with ensuite facilities. Companionship suites are also available for couples who would like to stay together.

Visitors who come to Alder house are always made to feel welcome and a part of the Alder house family. They have a fantastic, consistent staff team that know the resident care needs well. The home is supported by a fantastic regional team who ensure the high quality standards are maintained.

Their wonderful residents love to have family pets and children coming in to visit. The homely warm atmosphere exists throughout the home. Special attention is paid to those with dementia, as shown by the café, which is full of mementoes from the past days.

A full programme of daily activities, including maintaining body strength, is supported by volunteers. The atmosphere is lively and fun and residents enjoy gardening, regular cinema showings, going out on Sundays and eating well. There is no need for residents to venture out if they don't want to as they are able to have their hair done or enjoy hot refreshments in the onsite hairdressers and café.

Good relations are maintained with the local community and the neighbouring Avery home, Acer Court.

My father suffers from Parkinson's disease and had memory and mobility problems. He came for respite stay and is now a permanent resident. The staff are wonderful, caring, joyful and attentive. The activities coordinators provide many different activities to cover all abilities and interests and there
is always something going on. The rooms are clean and bright and the garden is lovely. I would certainly recommend Alder House highly.

We currently have 5 lovely spacious en-suite rooms overlooking the private gardens of our residential dementia suite. We have available some beautiful spacious rooms on our Lawrence and Sherbrooke suites. If you would like to come and view the rooms and have a tour of our lovely home, then please contact us to arrange. We will be a happy for you to pop in for a coffee no appointments needed. Alder House has a home from home feel with a fantastic staff and management team, come and say hello.
