In 2013, Joel graduated from the Oxford Brooks University as a Mental Health Nurse. Since qualifying, driven by a passion for caring for the elderly, particularly those living with dementia, Joel has dedicated his career to working in care homes, leveraging his knowledge and experience to hold various roles, including Charge Nurse and Deputy Manager.
In November 2021, Joel joined the Northcare team as a Clinical Lead and transitioned to the role of Deputy Manager at our sister home Clarkston House in April 2023 before transferring to Balmoral by Northcare in January 2025. This position has provided Joel with opportunities to continue learning and developing new skills while focusing on supporting the team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.

Nicole has been with Northcare since 2014, progressing from Care Assistant to Senior Care Assistant to her current position as Unit Manager in Balmoral Care Home.
Nicole has great pride and commitment to her unit, both in the hard-working, caring staff and for the residents who call it home.

Martin has worked with Northcare since 2019 and brings a wealth of knowledge to his kitchen team.
Developing menus for our special events throughout the year and ensuring client feedback on the menu is taken on board.

Laura joined the Northcare team in 2022 as Head of Hospitality. She has always worked in hospitality and has a passion for customer service and caring for people.
Laura enjoys building relationships with our residents and works closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless services are provided at all times.
