Never fail to give my father the very best care. I can feel confident that he is safe and in caring hands. As a family, we are always made welcome and kept up to date on my dad's condition and welfare. They have been amazing throughout the pandemic. Couldn’t ask for more.

I have nothing but praise for the management and staff at Bowfell House. My sister-in-law has been a resident at Bowfell since it opened. At all times, I have found the staff (including the management team) to be approachable and friendly. Their knowledge of individual residents is superb, and they
are always looking for ways to improve the service provided.
In addition to this, communication with relatives is excellent, both with online families’ meetings and with regular email updates. This has made it much less stressful to deal with all the Covid-19 restrictions.
I would recommend Bowfell House without reservation.

All the staff, without exception, have provided compassionate care to my mother since she has been a new resident. The compassion has extended to myself and my family, during what has been a very emotional and challenging time. All the team go out of their way to be kind and caring and genuinely find
out what interests residents have and make sure they provide engaging activities and meaningful occupation. I cannot thank you enough to know Mum is safe and cared for so well.

Bowfell House gives us peace of mind knowing that my mum is cared for to a high standard. She is safe and cared for by all the staff. The staff ensure we are kept updated with any issues arising. Mum is happy with her Bowfell Home and the staff, who are her newest members of our family.

My father has been a resident from the day Bowfell house opened till present day. My review is not about a specific month as requested, but his whole time at this wonderful care home.
I find it difficult to find a negative remark about the care, friendship, cleanliness, staff and the environment.
The staff and management team welcome me into their care home, showing just as much care and attention to me as I expect of them to care for my dad, which is reassuring.
Yes, it's been an unusual couple of years due to Covid19, and the visiting restrictions have made it very frustrating. I get great satisfaction that during my absence, the continued love, care and attention will have been applied to their usual high standards.
Approaching his ninety-sixth year, I'm not sure what lies ahead for Dad, whatever his duration, he is in the hands of the best care home and team around.

The care my nan receives on a daily basis is outstanding, the staff go above and beyond to make me feel welcome when I visit, there is no better place I would wish my nan to be, the staff take the time to get to know the residents family and what is important to my nan.

Mum has received excellent care again this year. Staff and managers have gone out of their way to support not only mum but me as well. It has been a difficult time for her suffering from toothache. Bowfell assisted in finding a dentist for mum and I was able to get her there with their support. Mum
has also recently been confused and they have kept a close eye on her making sure she feels safe as well as keeping me updated on her condition. As a result, mum is doing as well if not better than would be expected. I could not wish for better care for her and would not hesitate to recommend Bowfell.

Lovely atmosphere, and staff all seem extremely competent. We are regularly updated with the latest information through various means, eg Zoom family meetings. Lots of activities, which we can see through Instagram and Facebook. Would definitely highly recommend.

The team at Bowfell House take wonderful care of their residents, it appears nothing is too much trouble. It is reassuring for the family to know my aunty is in such good hands with her individual needs being met on a daily basis. The kitchen staff provide excellent home cooking. Zoom has provided a
well-needed visual over this difficult time and calling from overseas is made easy. Given these unprecedented, challenging times, management and the entire team at Bowfell House could not have done any more to keep their residents safe, comfortable, and well.

My mother has been a resident at Bowfell House since January 2020. At admission, she was in a poor state of health and her mental capacity was worsening. After 12 months in their care, I barely recognise her as the same person. The care is exemplary from every member of the team, from senior management,
care providers, and housekeeping. Not one thing is ever too much trouble for this excellent team. My mother now has friends and they support each other. Her health is greatly improved, as is her mental capacity. I consider that we were very fortunate to find Bowfell House and its wonderful people. Given the extenuating situation of Covid on the care home system in the past 12 months, they have definitely gone the extra mile(s) to protect residents, staff, and relatives/friends.

My Mum went to stay at Bowfell House in May 2020. Prior to her going in my sister, aunt, and myself visited the home and met residents and staff. A member of the management team also came to visit my Mum. I found them to be friendly, warm, caring, compassionate, and genuine with the person at the centre
of all they do. Bowfell House offers an environment similar to that of a high-quality hotel with luxurious, coordinated furnishings which provide a lovely ambience and maximum comfort. Standards of cleanliness and hygiene are outstanding. The staff at Bowfell have been amazing both to my Mum and me as it has been a difficult time, to say the least. Nothing is too much trouble. My Mum is no longer lonely, she now benefits from having people around her, she joins in with the regular activities and opportunities to exercise. She enjoys good food and the menu is varied. In short, I cannot fault the care my Mum receives at Bowfell House and feel reassured she is safe and happy.

My father moved into Bowfell House on 16th March but unfortunately, the lockdown was introduced more or less straight away so I have not been able to visit him properly ever since. Despite these difficult and unprecedented times, I have been impressed with the high standard of care provided at this
family-run facility. The staff and the management are so amazingly good demonstrating as they do a warm and caring attitude towards the residents. I chose Bowfell because it was a smaller facility in the hope that this would help to generate the sense of a family home. I have not been disappointed. I should also comment that the home is spotlessly clean.
