Pembroke House provides excellent care and a safe, friendly and family like atmosphere.
I could not have asked for anything more from the staff across all departments of Pembroke from housekeeping to carers. They have been fantastic throughout Mum's stay and especially of great support during a time
when its been a 'bumpy' journey. Well done and thank you all it is so appreciated.

My mother's great fear was the prospect of ending her days in a hospital, so when she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer at the age of 96, we looked for a good nursing home for her. When we found Pembroke House in Camberley, we could hardly believe our luck. Here was a new Nursing Home with a 5-star
hotel look and feel to it, with no waiting list! Mother moved in very quickly and remained there until her death 8 weeks later. During those weeks, she could not have been better looked after; the Care staff and Nurses were all really lovely and attentive and ensured that her final weeks were as pleasant, comfortable and pain-free as possible. She really loved her time there and was compassionately cared-for until the very end. Management and staff were very friendly and approachable, with some staff even taking time off to attend her Memorial Service. No-one in the family could fault the care and attention given to mother, who passed away painlessly, quietly and with dignity.

My mother recently moved into Pembroke House and has settled really well. She loves the warmth of the building and has already made friends.
The care team have been superb and although nearly 99 years old, she has already been taken out to visit the shops in Camberley!

My Dad suffering from cancer was unable to look after himself at home and came to Pembroke for the care offered. The staff were exceptional in every aspect and within days all the staff knew him by his first name.
Dad had a few toilet problems along with vomiting due to the cancer and no amount of
mess seemed to faze the nurses and without fail the comment back was - no problem. Towards the end of Dad's stay his appetite was picky, again no problem - the restaurant staff would make him custard even though not on the menu.
The home was immaculate, it is new but cleaners were evident every time we visited and kept it lovely. We bought furniture for his room from the British Heart Foundation, pictures from home etc to brighten up his room and make it personal.
The maintenance staff put it all together, hung the pictures and made it nice and homely for Dad.
Sure Pembroke costs a bit but if you can afford it, it is well worth it, they cannot do enough for you - highly recommended.

The accommodation was homely and the staff very caring and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very palatable.
The fact that the gardens were in the roof was attractive especially when the weather was fine, and the fact that the shops were so accessible was a bonus for long stays
who were still active.
Entertainment was well managed and readily available. I enjoyed my stay enormously.

My mother required respite care following a long period in hospital. We have been delighted by the level of care and crucially kindness from all the team. The rooms are lovely and the standard of catering exceptional. Whilst any private care is expensive, I found the cost appropriate and did not get
the feeling of a money grabbing approach which the sector can be known for. Using the family dining was great, they encourage family to be involved and charge at a modest rate for this. The location close to the town centre is also good, to get practical items but also take your family member for a walk (or wheelchair) around the shops.

The Pembroke House team have been professional and very caring in dealing with mum. They helped us both in what was a difficult time, getting mum from the hospital into the home and liaised with the ward to move things along more smoothly, after visiting mum at Frimley Park. Everyone there has worked
very hard to make Mum welcome and she has now settled well.


The home itself is wonderful with lots of great facilities, like a cinema room, hair dresser and activity team.


The restaurant and general catering are particularly good. If mum is not feeling like eating, they offer her pretty much anything she wants to get her eating. She is also visiting the restaurant regularly where again the staff are excellent and clearly caring.


At 92 this is the first time Mum has not lived independently and I've been trying to get her to do this for some years. I feared she'd hate it, but thanks to the Pembroke team it's been a great success and mum will now enjoy her final years in this wonderful home.

All of the staff at Pembroke House have been amazing in helping the whole family feel welcome and in giving my husband the best care possible.

I have visited my brother three times. The first time he was asleep initially when I went in, so I was given a tour of Pembroke House. I was impressed by the quality of the facilities and by the knowledgeable and caring staff. My second visit confirmed this view. Today when I saw my brother he recognised
us and said- "You don't want to end up in a home but if you do this is the place to be. The staff are lovely." It was very heartwarming to hear this after some very challenging times for him and his family.

Job Title: General Manager

I am a registered nurse and have been working in the care industry for the last 13 years. I trained as a nurse in the Philippines and completed my overseas nurse program(ONP) in the UK in 2014. My hospital placement was at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital for a period of 6months as part of the ONP requirement.
I then worked as a care assistant in the dementia neighbourhood at Signature at Fleet in 2009 whilst I was waiting for my eligibility to work as a nurse in the UK following registration with NMC.


When I am not working I love running, going to the theatre, travelling, catching up with friends, nature walks and being active outdoors.
