Castle Brook is situated in the town of Kenilworth, close to local shops, pubs, restaurants, a bus route, and the castle and provides long-term and respite care for older people.

The home is made up of six households, with each offering its own communal open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen so that residents benefit from independence with the added support of the care team.

All rooms have ensuite wetrooms, a personalised front door, plenty of storage and the option to have a TV or telephone. Ground floor rooms all have their own patio area. Companion rooms are also available at Castle Brook for couples or relatives wanting to stay together. Outside is a large garden with a specially designed cycle path for a side-by-side bicycle for two, outdoor gym equipment, varied planting which residents and staff take care of, and plenty of places to relax.

The home uses a range of technology to enhance the health and wellbeing of residents including acoustic night-time monitoring and circadian lighting.

The team at Castle Brook designs an active and engaging lifestyle and there is always a lot happening in the home, with regular activities taking place including a weekly choir and church service.

Residents benefit from activities and day trips on the Memory Maker minibus - which relatives are invited to join and there is also a café, cinema, shop, launderette, spa baths and beauty salon offering unisex hairdressing and manicures.

I recently moved my uncle into Castle Lodge from another care home following an admission to hospital.
I have been absolutely blown away by the care, support and kindness shown by the staff at the home. My uncle has had a challenging start with falls and paramedic visits but the staff have managed
everything with compassion and sensitivity. He was very unhappy in the home he was in previously but now that he has moved, he seems so much happier. Thank you to all of the staff, I am looking forward to times when I can visit more freely as the environment when I visited was fabulous.

Friendly environment and atmosphere. Staff always friendly and welcoming to us and family when we visited our mother.
Staff have always been friendly and caring towards our mother even though she can be very challenging at times due to her illness.
We particularly like the freedom of movement for
residents which we feel is important for their mental well-being.

Initially, both parents went into Castle Brook. They were delighted to be together in one suite, and the care and love they received were excellent. Following Father’s death, the care has continued for Mum. She is happy, safe and content.

Castle Brook staff cared for my mother for two years up to her death in October 2019. They demonstrated excellent compassionate, good-humoured and effective care throughout this time; most noticeably during the last few months of her life.

Mum moved into Castle Brook in March and found it quite difficult to adjust at first. Any "settling in" issues that I raised with the staff was addressed immediately - I never had to raise an issue for a second time. The facilities are first class. The staff are all friendly and genuinely caring and
patient, and even during busy periods they will make time to discuss any concerns that might arise, and they LISTEN!
Mum chooses to remain in her room so I cannot comment on the activities the home provides.
Mum has now settled and is very happy now, and I don't believe she could get better care anywhere. I would not hesitate to recommend Castle Brook, it is truly excellent.

I first visited a friend only a couple of weeks after the home opened, sadly she died 18 months ago. During the 16 months I visited, there were so many problems - 4/5 managers, staff, care, food, everything causing unhappiness for residents. I am now visiting another friend who is on the NHS floor and
I am amazed at the difference and how the new manager has turned it around- congratulations. My friend is very happy and if you have good food, a relaxed, cheerful environment it aids recovery and contentment.

The management and staff were very supportive end of July/August when my very disabled mother was bereaved. They also assisted with specialised transport and carers support on the day of the funeral, which was much appreciated. All the carers showed great compassion to Mum and all the family.

The staff at Castle Brook are caring and conscientious, however, there are too few of them at the weekend, overall, the facilities are excellent though my father's living room/bathroom could do with being spruced up. I have requested a new armchair for his living room because the one that is there at
the moment smells of urine and stale food. I do believe my father is getting the best care available given his state of health. Thank you to Castle Brook.

I'm the General Manager for Castle Brook and have been with WCS Care since 2016.


I joined Castle Brook in 2017, with my first and biggest job to date helping to move 32 residents from the old Woodside home in Warwick to Castle Brook, whilst it was redeveloped into the care village it is today.


I'm passionate about supporting carers to make Castle Brook the very best it can be and my mission is to make sure there are no barriers to what care home residents can do, just because they are living in a 'care home'.
