Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or

medications that a GP wouldn’t normally prescribe such as paracetamol and indigestion relief, and any
other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review for Chichester Grange Care Home. We are very pleased that you felt that the team was helpful and caring to your family member. We apologise that you feel your relative could have been encouraged more with mobility. It is very difficult to comment on each individual case as at times we have to consider the resident's choices and medical needs to if it is appropriate to mobilise. We are however happy to meet with you to discuss this and answer any questions that you may have. We have taken your comments on board regarding giving choice and variety to residents with special dietary requirements. Our new head chef is now in post and has already made positive changes. As a team, we recognise how important dining and food are to our residents, and are asking for regular feedback from both residents and families going forward to make the dining experience as enjoyable as possible.

Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted with the positive comments and scores for Chichester Grange, particularly for the activities and the cleanliness of the home. Regarding staffing levels, I would like to assure you that we do a full dependency analysis for each resident, which is used to plan the care team in order to ensure that care is safe and appropriate for residents’ needs at all times. We were surprised to read your feedback about staffing levels at lunchtime. We work to a protected mealtime policy, which ensures that all staff members are present in the dining rooms during the mealtime period. However, we do take your concerns seriously, and we will undertake a review of our mealtime service with the head chef to ensure we provide the very best experience for residents. Please do not hesitate to contact the home manager if you would like to discuss this in more detail.

Job Title: Home Manager
I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in Brighton in 1988, and I have been in the role of Home Manager since 2006, working for various care providers.
I worked for Care UK previously between 2012 and 2015.
When I was contacted to rejoin in 2018, I jumped at the chance to return to a provider that has a vision and values that align with my own.
As Home Manager, you need to be focused, dynamic and able to multitask but also have a vision and a sense of humour. It’s a bit like being an orchestra conductor – you need to be able to oversee different aspects of the home, whilst keeping the whole home working as one to make sweet music.
I love being part of this team, especially when we work as one. I feel proud every day knowing that we make a difference in residents’ lives.
Outside of work, I love spending time in the countryside and walking with my husband and our dog Pixie. The New Forest is my favourite place, and we often pop there for a day or an overnight trip.
