Buttercup Lodge provide residential and nursing care to adults with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex health needs.
They have a team of qualified nursing staff on site, around the clock, to provide medical support to residents who need higher levels of care. They also employ a Social Worker who provides a high quality service in relation to all aspects of the assessment and care management process.

Buttercup Lodge stands in its own grounds, with gardens to the front and rear of the property and has ample parking for residents, staff and families.
There are 5 single bedrooms which are decorated to the individual tastes of the residents. The communal areas include a fully accessible bathroom/wet room, 2 large lounges, a conservatory and kitchen. There are also tracking hoists in situ.

The home is located within a vibrant community with the Trafford Centre less than 5 miles away, housing one of the country’s largest under-cover shopping outlets, with cafes, restaurants, cinema, and bowling all with disabled access.
The lovely countryside of Lymm and Dunham Massey Hall, Cheshire is within easy travelling distance, as are Sale Water Park, Walton Hall Gardens, Tatton Park, the Chill Factor, Manchester International Airport, Old Trafford Football Ground and the Museum of Science and Industry.

Paula Ryan

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2014

Paula started working in care, after caring for her terminally ill son. She learnt lots of skills in order to provide his care, and wanted to put these skills to use.


She started as a carer in 2014, working with children with severe complex health needs and worked her way up to senior carer before completing her Assistant Practitioner qualification at Chester University.


From 2019 until 2023 she worked at a medium secure, forensic mental health hospital before returning to EAM Lodge as an Operational Manager where in 2024 she took on the Registered Manager role.


Paula is passionate about her role and providing the residents with a happy fulfilled life and a wonderful home to live in.
