Farnham Mill Nursing Home is committed to the highest standards of service and care, within a friendly and happy, family-run setting. It specialises in Nursing, Dementia, Parkinson's and End-of-life care. The Home is rated as Good Overall by CQC.

Its aim is to provide the highest level of care for residents, in a dignified and compassionate way. With the best facilities and equipment, in a comfortable home with highly trained, experienced staff. The home has 60 large bedroom suites, with floor to ceiling windows, creating a very light and bright atmosphere. Outside there is a wonderful Mill Pond, landscaped gardens and a wildlife meadow. There is also a quiet courtyard garden with raised planters, all accessed by level flat paths.

Compassionate, caring and professional staff try to improve the quality of life for those who have chosen to live in the home. The approach is not 'one routine fits all', but rather a more personal care plan, that makes allowances for the individual's needs and concerns. There is a full and diverse range of activities in place to help residents pursue their personal interests

Delighted with the care received since my father moved in a couple of months ago. My father and his close family are always made extremely welcome - the staff on the door always remember all of our names, and always get up to help my disabled mother open the door when she visits as soon as they see
her approaching. Attention was taken to fully understand all of my father's care needs, in particular special diet. During the settling-in period as staff got to know my father they constantly adjusted and added to the detailed care plan to make sure everything was exactly as he liked down to the tiny details – for example, the TV put on for him daily onto channel he likes and tea served without too much milk! They even allowed us to host a small celebration event for my parent's 60th wedding anniversary and when we turned up with our food (as agreed) we found they had laid out the room beautifully with flowers and set out the table for everyone in the family. Cannot recommend them enough.

We have been relieved, delighted and most appreciative of the incredible level of care that our aunt has/is receiving. The staff are patient, compassionate and professionally skilled. We have been informed about her care changes that may have occurred and have generally been "looped in" at all times.
My husband and I have also been cared for, and for that, we thank you too. We cannot fault Farnham Mills. It was the best decision to move our aunt. Thank you.

My papa is very happy here! There are lots of activities to keep him entertained and interactive with staff and other residents. Very well looked after, staff are very friendly. The family feel very included and informed in his care. The care home puts on great family days for all!

My papa is extremely happy here. The activities are brilliant, which we see him participating in online, his favourite is the live music and BBQs in the summer.
The staff are very friendly, always welcoming and very attentive to my papa's needs.

My father was a resident at Farnham Mill Nursing Home for 21 months and he received the best of care. He loved his bright, spacious room and the communal areas. He really enjoyed the gorgeous gardens and waterway, taking great delight in watching the bird life. The staff across all areas are exceptional,
treating him with great care and kindness. The level of care adjusted seamlessly as his needs increased on his Dementia journey. We were hugely grateful he got to spend his final days in such a warm, caring environment, surrounded by people who became like family, caring for not only my father but the extended family as we struggled with this difficult disease. We cannot praise Farnham Mill and all the staff more highly, thank you all so much.

We can't think of entrusting the care of our mother/mother-in-law to anyone better. The care home is always clean and inviting and the nursing care is excellent. We are always made to feel very welcome when we visit, and are greeted by name. Our mother seems to be very content and comfortable and cared

My mum moved into the Farnham Mill Nursing Home in July after a rapid deterioration in her health.
After looking at several care homes, we decided upon the Farnham Mill, as we felt that this was where she would receive the best care and we have not been disappointed.
The staff have all been so kind,
caring and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. They have gone above and beyond to make us feel at home and help support us through this difficult time. My mum is treated with dignity, respect and above all kindness.
No one ever really wants to find themselves in a position where they have to move a loved one into a care home but it gives me peace of mind to know how well cared for she is.
I would unreservedly recommend the Farnham Mill to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.
It’s given me my faith back that there are some lovely care homes out there. A huge thank you to the entire staff at the Farnham Mill who make this the wonderful place it is!

My father was a resident at Farnham Mill Nursing Home care home from January to August 2023.


We chose Farnham Mill because it felt right for my father and for us as a family knowing that he would be receiving the best care in a lovely setting.


From the moment we arrived special care measures for

his Parkinson’s condition were put in place. We always felt he was cared for with great dignity and respect and the care team made every effort to get to know him and what made him feel at home.


The team were a great support to our family and made us feel welcome at all times. Dad loved the food and care teams and we felt comfortable knowing he was cared for both physically and emotionally.


We were given time and space to be with Dad when he passed away in August but knew they were there to catch us and support us at the end of his life.


The staff go out of their way to look after our precious family members when we are no longer able to care for them ourselves. We are truly grateful to everyone.

The staff are caring and committed to ensuring that the residents are happy and settled. The events they put on to entertain are fabulous as they range from flower arranging to live singers to dress-up BBQs. Something for everyone. The bedrooms are well-kept and always clean. I am so pleased that my
dad is here. From the moment you walk through the door to when you sign out my visit is greeted with warmth and understanding. I get regular check-ins with the nursing staff about my father. Regular communication from the staffing team and a weekly photo update on what has been going on. Just super.

Mum had Alzheimer’s and lived at Farnham Mill for just over 2 years. She settled in quickly thanks to the genuine care of all the staff. The variety of activities was impressive, and Mum particularly loved it when animals were brought in to visit. We were sent weekly emails with photos of what she got
involved in, and she always said, completely unprompted, that she liked living there and that the staff were lovely. The home is bright and airy and was purpose-built, with a lovely garden that includes a duck pond which Mum loved to watch. Towards the end of her life, they ensured she was out of hospital and back at the home where she was well cared for, and the staff were so kind to her and to us. We were given a scrapbook filled with photos of Mum during her stay, a lovely memento, and three members of staff came to her funeral. I can’t thank the staff enough for the genuine love and care they gave Mum, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Farnham Mill Nursing Home to others.

Our first impression of the care home was very good. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. When Mum was admitted staff ‘bent over backwards’ to help her settle and were very patient and considerate to us at what was a difficult time.

Mum had been a resident at Farnham Mill for a few years. She was very happy there, and the care she received was second to none. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and so very caring. The room was lovely, and Mum really enjoyed the food. The activities team were amazing and provided activities
every day that were relevant and provided much-needed stimulation.
The deputy manager visited Mum in the hospital and managed to get her discharged back to the home where she was cared for so well until she passed away. This was so much appreciated, as, without that intervention, Mum would probably have passed away in the hospital.
Altogether, this home is amazing, and I would definitely recommend it for your loved ones.

My auntie has been with Farnham Mill Nursing Home for about a year.
She is very well cared for - always well dressed, clean and there are lots of activities to keep her busy.
The staff are all friendly. I am always welcome and can visit anytime, night or day.

Dad was a resident at Farnham Mill Nursing Home. He was lucky enough to call it his home for 15 months. The nursing staff consistently kept me up to date with issues and concerns and through regular high-quality care could foresee medical issues and deal with them. The food was excellent with the serving
team knowing each resident's requirements. The team recognised my dad needed serving in the first phase so he could sit and eat with everyone without distraction, and leaving the table.


The food was varied and of excellent quality with frequent drinks and treats between meals. The entertainment team engaged well with residents and every day there were activities to join in and the infamous trolley themes. The surrounding area of the care home ensured a beautiful walkway and covered area to rest and watch the ducks and geese. The end-to-end care of my dad was excellent including the more routine requirements of laundry, cleaning and interaction between residents and Staff.

Mum was a resident at Farnham Mill Nursing Home for eighteen months. The home has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The modern rooms are bright and airy and there are lovely gardens and a duckpond which mum enjoyed. The lovely reception team are very welcoming and always very helpful. The nursing team
and carers were brilliant and always tried to make sure mum was comfortable and she was well looked after. We found them helpful in dealing with any questions we had and were kept well informed. The activities team put much thought into the activities with lots going on. Mum enjoyed visiting the weekly hairdresser. We found the chef and catering team always tried to accommodate her needs. Her room and clothes were kept clean and tidy. Mum was always treated with care and kindness and we were well supported too. Mum recently passed away and we can't thank all the lovely staff enough for all they did for mum and for us, as a family, it is very much appreciated.

I left the NHS where I was Ward Manager of an elderly care unit at the Royal Free Hospital when I assumed control of Woodlands & Hill Brow Ltd following my mother's retirement in 1998.


I am immensely proud of the standards of care we achieve and the family ethos and feel which runs through the heart of our homes.

Hello, my name is Sahlee, I have worked for Woodlands and Hill Brow since 2011 as a home manager and as a Kings Nurse Specialist. My real passion in life is nursing and caring for the elderly. I specialise in palliative care and tissue viability. It is so important to me that the residents we care for are comfortable and happy and that every day we can help to improve their quality of life.

‘Working as the deputy manager in Farnham Mill NH has enabled me to utilise a wealth of transferable skills developed during my 42yrs nursing experience. I am a strong believer that here’s no real substitute for the intensely rewarding and fulfilling nature of looking after older people. I am very passionate about ensuring residents are provided with attentive and respectful care, at the same time ensuring that they retain their dignity and independence during the latter stages of life.


I love being able to take time to talk, listen and understand what matters to the resident, as It is important that residents can express choices and feel involved in the way their care is planned and delivered. My love of looking after older people enables me to utilise my skills to provide consistent, individualised care and support to residents in a care environment, knowing it makes a difference in the lives of the residents’.

My role is incredibly rewarding. I am part of a massive life changing decision that is incredibly personal and needs to be made with confidence. I think of myself as a guide for families and individuals during this new chapter of their life.
I help support with any questions and concerns but what I love most is every day I get to meet new people, hear their life stories and build great relationships with them and their families. Once they have moved in it is a joy to watch our residents thrive and enjoy life, loved ones too.

I have over 25 years of experience in Hospitality, mostly as a chef. Prior to joining Woodlands and Hill brow, I spent 5 years working in a luxury care home in Andover, overseeing the kitchens, housekeeping, activities and maintenance departments. I really enjoy seeing happy residents enjoying their food and having fulfilled lives.


My goal is that my contribution through experience, passion and determination gives everyone living at Farnham Mill the best possible quality of life.

Preparing, cooking and presenting good, tasty, wholesome food has always been my passion. I have cooked since I was very young. What I enjoy most about working in Care and cooking for the older generation is the interaction with the residents and the creation of personalised foods they will enjoy the most. While always being aware of hydration, taste, nutrition and the resident's personal enjoyment of the food.

I have been working at Farnham Mill as a front-of-house receptionist.


I worked for a well-known high street bank but changed my career which was inspired by my mum’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and the impact it had and still has on my family’s lives. I am passionate about and love my role at Farnham Mill. To see families being able to spend time together is my real inspiration and to be able to spend time with our residents is a real privilege on a day-to-day basis.

I joined Farnham Mill in July 2018 and feel proud of my role as activities coordinator.


My passion is making our residents happy and I believe this is part and parcel of good care.


My job as activities coordinator allows me lots of opportunities to do this, through organising lots of different activities and trips that our residents enjoy. These include arts and crafts, quiz's, trips out to the pub, shopping and to garden centres. Plus lots of musical performances.

I am the Senior Nurse and Clinical Lead at Hill House. I joined Woodlands and Hill Brow Ltd in 2019, after working in a number of other nursing homes previously. I was drawn to Farnham Mill because I had heard about how the company offer outstanding care to their residents and takes care of its staff.


On a personal level, I have always been passionate about caring for the elderly, especially those with dementia. It is my belief our residents should receive excellent nursing care and I am proud to be part of the outstanding team at Farnham Mill.

I love working in such a beautiful purpose built, nursing home. The home allows us to provide the best possible care for our lovely residents. I also enjoy working with such a dedicated team of carers, nurses and management who all put the residents happiness and care first.

My name is Doug, I am the facilities manager for the Woodlands and Hill Brow Group. I am a qualified electrician and have been in the building industry for nearly 40 years. I was introduced to the team at Woodlands and Hill Brow Ltd when I was involved in the building of Hill House nursing home and then when I designed the electrical systems at Farnham Mill. I take pride in my maintenance team and in providing a safe, well maintained, attractive place for the residents and staff alike to live and work.
