Farnham Mill Nursing Home is committed to the highest standards of service and care, within a friendly and happy, family-run setting. It specialises in Nursing, Dementia, Parkinson's and End-of-life care. The Home is rated as Good Overall by CQC.

Its aim is to provide the highest level of care for residents, in a dignified and compassionate way. With the best facilities and equipment, in a comfortable home with highly trained, experienced staff. The home has 60 large bedroom suites, with floor to ceiling windows, creating a very light and bright atmosphere. Outside there is a wonderful Mill Pond, landscaped gardens and a wildlife meadow. There is also a quiet courtyard garden with raised planters, all accessed by level flat paths.

Compassionate, caring and professional staff try to improve the quality of life for those who have chosen to live in the home. The approach is not 'one routine fits all', but rather a more personal care plan, that makes allowances for the individual's needs and concerns. There is a full and diverse range of activities in place to help residents pursue their personal interests

When the time came for my sister with Alzheimers to go into a nursing home, I took the recommendation of a friend whose husband had been there for some while. I wasn't disappointed and cannot speak too highly of Farnham Mill. Having had experience of visiting other, perfectly adequate nursing homes,
Farnham Mill is a revelation. Staff (no agency) are always smiling and helpful, facilities excellent and spotless. My sister is not naturally sociable but is being patiently drawn out of her shell. If the time should ever come, I would be happy to go there.

Farnham Mill is a beautiful new home which is well designed and equipped to provide for the nursing care needs of its residents but it is the staff who I cannot thank enough for the exceptional care of my mother in the final year of her life. She had a long and difficult struggle with dementia and was
in crisis in her previous residential care home. Farnham Mill pulled out all the stops to look after my Mum as soon as they were contacted and the staff's expertise and caring commitment in meeting her ongoing and changing needs during her time there was outstanding. Farnham Mill - thank you.

My parents moved in August 2018. One has Parkinson's the other a heart condition and dementia. They are able to remain in the same bedroom and the nurses are excellent with their medical needs. The care staff are patient with the symptoms of dementia which include shouting and venting frustration on
them. Family visit four times a week and the staff are open to our suggestions. I would recommend them strongly.

Having examined more than six other care homes, Farnham Mill stood out. My wife is very content and I feel she is in the right place. I have peace of mind and our grandchildren are very comfortable when visiting.

I reviewed The Farnham Mill earlier in the year as excellent but felt that I should also update my review. Sadly over the last 4 weeks, my mother needed very intensive nursing care leading up to end of life care. My Sister has commented earlier but we just cannot recommend highly enough the professional
care, nursing skill and support mum received and the kind consideration extended to all the family at such a difficult time it completely exceeded our expectations supporting us all on a very difficult journey. The compassion came from across all the staff members including the Senior Nurses, Carers, Management and household team - As I have said before, Mum really thought of The Mill as home! I can never thank you all enough.

My mother became a resident January 2019. The welcoming reception from all the staff helped my mother settle very quickly. Mum very quickly wanted to enjoy the many activities that the home provided and really enjoyed the food!
The care my mum received was amazing throughout and the caring staff
managed mum's pain through to a very peaceful passing for which the family are eternally grateful.
The friendly and welcoming atmosphere made the Farnham Mill a lovely environment in which to visit mum. We always felt part of a large family and want to thank all the amazing staff for making mum's stay a happy and comfortable experience.


The commitment to the provision of every aspect of care in Farnham Mill is outstanding and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a caring home for their relatives.

Mum moved to Farnham Mill from another care home as we felt she was not getting enough attention. Within a week we noticed an improvement in her communication and her general well-being. The staff treated her with genuine affection, they not only cared for her but cared about her. As a family, we were
always welcomed and informed of her condition. She died peacefully aged 99 3/4.

I feel lucky that a room was available for my mother as soon as we required it. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the home is the first thing that greets you as you enter. A lot of thought has gone into the rooms, the staff training and the attention to the needs of both the residents and
their relatives. There is a positive vibe to the place which was certainly not present in other care homes that we looked at. I very much appreciate that whenever I visit there is always someone available to give me an update on how my mother is faring. I am impressed that staff who are not on my mother's floor will sometimes take a few moments to pop into her room just to say "Hi!" and have a friendly word with her. The word "care" is not just a label here but truly applies to the manner in which everyone here approaches their work.
My only regret is that my mother's Alzheimer's Disease does not allow her to appreciate how well she is being looked after.

Our friend was a resident at Farnham Mill Nursing Home for nine months. The care she received was excellent throughout this time, including during her last illness. Every comfort was provided as were plenty of stimulating activities. Visitors were always made to feel welcome too, including children
and dogs!

In general terms, kindness personified would describe the atmosphere at the Mill. The buildings are new as is the décor and everything is fresh and inviting but behind it all is a super efficient team of people running a home for old people like my wife and me, who are given the help required to wash,
dress, go to bed, get up etc. Medication is dispursed if required and all the needs of us elderly folk have been carefully studied and are taken care of.

I find most of your staff very helpful and attentive, and nothing is too much trouble. I love the way all staff speak to your residents on the way through even if just in passing, even if it's just a hello, it means so much to your residents. However, when Mum moved into the room there was no paperwork
or contract. No information was given to me how much the room was, and, in the end, I had to chase it up as by then I was well over a month overdue in paying. I later found out that there was a smaller room that Mum could have had but this was not offered. I have found things have gone missing from my Mum's room, especially a black and white cat smaller than the one she has on her bed. But unfortunately, could not get anyone to take responsibility for it to be found and still would like this looked into - it has to be there somewhere! It took a long time to find out who my mum's key worker is and nurse. I only found this out in April.

An excellent nursing home in all respects. Having had to move my mother very quickly from another setting due to poor leadership and subsequent poor care, this has been a complete relief and revelation! Overnight my mother changed back into the person she was. As a nurse myself with very high standards,
I am completely satisfied with the care my mother is receiving. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are happy, cheerful, respectful and extremely intuitive.
I can't fault this place at all and my mother is happy!

An extremely modern, privately owned and very well run Nursing Home just outside Farnham Town Centre. Following my wife's stroke in 2016, this was my first time as a Respite User of any facility. The two weeks I was here, with my wife, were just what we both needed! The staff were clearly well motivated
for whom nothing was too much trouble. The warmth both from staff and the building, during the heavy snowfall, was first class. A well run home with good supervision from all concerned. There was good interaction from staff and Residents alike. The activities were well thought out; the 'Pat' dog and likewise friendly baby goats were a delight, as were the visits by young children.

This is my first experience of a nursing home so I do not have any prior experience. This home is very pleasant, very clean and neat and tidy. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. It has a happy atmosphere. My mother was very nervous moving into a nursing home but Farnham Mill has

I left the NHS where I was Ward Manager of an elderly care unit at the Royal Free Hospital when I assumed control of Woodlands & Hill Brow Ltd following my mother's retirement in 1998.

I joined Farnham Mill in July 2018 and feel proud of my role as activities coordinator.


My passion is making our residents happy and I believe this is part and parcel of good care.


My job as activities coordinator allows me lots of opportunities to do this, through organising lots of different activities and trips that our residents enjoy. These include arts and crafts, quiz's, trips out to the pub, shopping and to garden centres. Plus lots of musical performances.

I am the Senior Nurse and Clinical Lead at Hill House. I joined Woodlands and Hill Brow Ltd in 2019, after working in a number of other nursing homes previously. I was drawn to Farnham Mill because I had heard about how the company offer outstanding care to their residents and takes care of its staff.


On a personal level, I have always been passionate about caring for the elderly, especially those with dementia. It is my belief our residents should receive excellent nursing care and I am proud to be part of the outstanding team at Farnham Mill.

I have worked with the Woodlands and Hill Brow group for more than 5 years, working my way up to Senior Nurse. I work with a great team of management, carers and domestic staff. I am particularly passionate about caring for residents with dementia. I enjoy working together to ensure our lovely residents are happy and cared for in every way possible.

I have worked for Woodlands and Hill Brow since 2018, first at Hill House as a carer and when Farnham Mill was built, I transferred over. I love working in such a beautiful purpose built, nursing home. The home allows us to provide the best possible care for our lovely residents. I also enjoy working with such a dedicated team of carers, nurses and management who all put the residents happiness and care first.

Job Title: Facilities Manager

My name is Doug, I am the facilities manager for the Woodlands and Hill Brow Group. I am a qualified electrician and have been in the building industry for nearly 40 years. I was introduced to the team at Woodlands and Hill Brow Ltd when I was involved in the building of Hill House nursing home and then when I designed the electrical systems at Farnham Mill. I take pride in my maintenance team and in providing a safe, well maintained, attractive place for the residents and staff alike to live and work.
