Farnham Mill Nursing Home is committed to the highest standards of service and care, within a friendly and happy, family-run setting. It specialises in Nursing, Dementia, Parkinson's and End-of-life care. The Home is rated as Good Overall by CQC.

Its aim is to provide the highest level of care for residents, in a dignified and compassionate way. With the best facilities and equipment, in a comfortable home with highly trained, experienced staff. The home has 60 large bedroom suites, with floor to ceiling windows, creating a very light and bright atmosphere. Outside there is a wonderful Mill Pond, landscaped gardens and a wildlife meadow. There is also a quiet courtyard garden with raised planters, all accessed by level flat paths.

Compassionate, caring and professional staff try to improve the quality of life for those who have chosen to live in the home. The approach is not 'one routine fits all', but rather a more personal care plan, that makes allowances for the individual's needs and concerns. There is a full and diverse range of activities in place to help residents pursue their personal interests

The residents are the heart of the home, helping chose the menus and even interviewing staff. Everyone at Farnham Mill wants the residents to be happy, well cared for and enjoy living at Farnham Mill.

Following a relative's horrible accident, the need for respite was quite important. My relative has been made very welcome and is improving all the time. My relative has dietary issues so they were able to have a chat with the cook. All staff have been very helpful and welcoming.

The care and kindness to my mother during her stay at Farnham Mill Nursing Home was exemplary. The staff are excellent and cannot do enough to make residents welcome, special and safe. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and light and airy with nice furniture and accessories. The public areas are bright
and airy too with attractive pictures. I would not hesitate to recommend Farnham Mill to anyone needing nursing care.

This was my father's first experience of respite care and at 98 years of age, I did not take the decision lightly. Farnham Mill has recently opened and is of the highest standard. He was happy and well cared for, enjoyed the food and activities and found all the staff caring, pleasant and professional.
His room was well appointed and the communal areas comfortable and we3lcoming. The atmosphere always seemed happy and inclusive. He is willing to stay again for respite and hopes to go there for regular daycare once available. This is a good indication of how well Farnham Mill is working.

My father stayed at Farnham Mill for 4 weeks of respite care. The staff took the time to get to know Dad as well as all the other visiting family members. We were always provided with a warm welcome whenever we visited. The team ensured that all Dad's needs were met and he was well cared for during
his stay. They were polite, friendly, caring and very helpful. The home is modern and open plan, allowing socialising between the residents to take place alongside a varied activity programme. The gardens were a particular favourite.

Our mum moved into Farnham Mill in August 2018 and from her first day, we have been nothing but impressed and thankful for the wonderful work from everyone at the home. It is such a warm, friendly and welcoming place and we are always greeted with a smile from everyone who works and lives here. The
care that is given to our mum has exceeded our expectations and our mum is always laughing with staff when we come here. We are so grateful to Farnham Mill for making a difficult time so much easier. Thank you.

My friend moved into Farnham Mill, I was so pleased that she settled in so quickly. She had nothing but praise for the staff, the food and loved her room.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were very welcoming to visitors. Lovely gardens and the home has a lovely atmosphere.

Needing respite care following a fall, I stayed at Farnham Mill Nursing Home for three weeks.
During this time, I received excellent all round attention for my needs. Staff were attentive and well trained showing respect and care in a very happy environment. The home being new, is bright and welcoming
and is also furnished to a high standard. Having stayed here, I would willingly return if the necessity arose. Recommended.

During my father's time spent at Farnham Mill, he was surrounded by such kindness, care and consideration. Nothing was too much for the staff, even the chef who happily, and without prompting, prepared food which she thought my father would enjoy to tempt his poor appetite. The staff were thoughtful
and proactive. We felt as though we had all been welcomed into a new family. As a bonus, all the rooms were beautiful and well thought out.

My grandmother recently moved into Farnham Mill for some respite and recuperation following a prolonged level of general weakness and inability to look after herself satisfactorily. Since her residence here she has greatly benefited from the most caring and helpful staff that have given her a wonderful
boost of positivity and helped her regain her confidence and independence, a truly wonderful facility that has changed her world and given my family at large a much less worrying time. I cannot recommend Farnham Mill and all of its very well trained and qualified staff enough. Thank you.

My husband was overwhelmed by the attention he received from the staff who all tried to make his respite stay a great experience. It really was "home from home". Everything is spotless and he enjoyed the attractive surroundings.

My dad received palliative care for the last 18 days of his life. When he arrived he was very weak and was not able to eat solid food. He just wanted to be comfortable and looked after. The room we were lucky enough to be able to choose for him was light and attractive, which made all the difference
to someone at the end of their life. The staff, from management to cleaner, were so friendly and professional, it made the whole family feel at ease. Dad was treated with respect at all times and his dignity was maintained. At such a difficult time, I could not have asked for more.

Staff very welcoming and kind. Kept me well informed. Home only just opened so mum found it quite quiet and will look forward to perhaps staying again for respite when there are more residents. Everyone very caring and a good ethos towards dementia care is displayed throughout the home.

My dad needed some urgent respite care when my mother who is his main carer went into hospital.
Farnham Mill looked after dad amazingly, buying in his favourite ice cream, getting his hair cut and organising physiotherapy for him.
Everyone at the home was friendly and very caring and professional,
nothing was too much trouble.

My mother was brought in for emergency respite care at a very difficult time for us, we were desperate not to admit her to the hospital and the care home manager visited us within half an hour of us calling, assessed mum and brought her in shortly afterwards all the staff have been fantastic in keeping
us informed of progress and are very caring with mum and the rest of the family. Facilities cannot be faulted.

I left the NHS where I was Ward Manager of an elderly care unit at the Royal Free Hospital when I assumed control of Woodlands & Hill Brow Ltd following my mother's retirement in 1998.


I am immensely proud of the standards of care we achieve and the family ethos and feel which runs through the heart of our homes.
