Welcome to Formby Manor; a lovely and luxurious care home located in the coastal town of Formby.

Formby Manor is a purpose-built 76 bed ‘new generation’ care facility that has been expertly designed to meet all current CQC requirements and provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. The care home offers residential, nursing and specialist dementia care.

Internally, the attention to detail is impressive. The high specification and décor of Formby Manor have been carefully considered by an interior designer, creating stylish yet comfortable and practical spaces for residents to enjoy.

Arranged over three floors, the facilities at Formby Manor are exceptional, with each floor enjoying its own communal lounges and restaurants. All bedrooms boast en suite wet rooms, and there is also a spa assisted bathroom, hairdresser & nail bar.

There are beautiful, mature gardens and outside seating areas at Formby Manor along with extensive terrace areas to the first floor.

My friend has been in Formby Manor for over 10 months and has settled in well. All the staff from reception to the manager are very friendly and helpful. I have already recommended Formby Manor to a friend.

Formby Manor have been amazing with my mum's care. The staff are some of the kindest people who take so much care of my mum. They have also cared for my dad whilst he visits mum and taken time to listen to him and also look after him. I can't thank the staff enough.

My mother has been a resident at Formby Manor for nearly 12 months now and I am extremely satisfied with her level of care and indeed with home overall. Our Mum joined Formby Manor Care Centre in July 2022. She has found the transition from living relatively independently to full-time care a challenge. The staff have managed my mum in a caring and professional manner and they regularly engage with mum on a one on one basis. By doing this they have begun
to understand mum's individual needs in a gentle and unforced way. The physical environment is first class and mum enjoys a healthy and varied diet. We understand that recruitment of an Entertainment Manger is underway and I'm sure this will add to the first class experience that mum is lucky enough to be experiencing. Thank you Formby Manor Care Centre.

Can’t praise Formby Manor enough, for the excellent care and fantastic friendly caring staff.
Looked at six other care homes thankfully we chose the right one fantastic!
Mum was adamant she did not want to go into care now she has settled and asked to go back when we take her out shopping

Thank you to all staff and volunteers for looking after and taking care of my 90 year old Mum. What must have been a very difficult transition for Mum from her own home to a care home has been made as easy as possible due to the attitude and care and attention of all at Formby.

Absolutely fantastic I can't praise the staff enough, they all go the extra mile for the residents. It's so difficult to put a loved one in a home but I know my mum is safe and well looked after.
Mum has had a few health problems since arriving and the staff in Formby Manor Care Centre especially have
gone above and beyond to ensure she is ok. I can't recommend Formby enough.

The Administrator was the first professional I spoke to regarding seeking residential care for Mum. She showed empathy and kindness. Since Mum moved into Formby Manor she and the care team have been a constant source of reassurance. Initially, we were all distressed but in a surprisingly short period
Mum is settled and happy, and so, we are too. Mum receives exceptional care personal to her which is monitored and adjusted to suit her needs. She is safe with an improved appetite and social life in a friendly, lovely environment. Without the support and reassurance from the staff, this difficult experience would have been almost impossible. Her professionalism and care helped us adjust and have made a positive impact on Mum and we can be a family again without fear and anxiety. The whole team treats Mum and us with respect and are genuinely caring. Thanks to you all.

My Father has been a resident of Formby Manor since July 21. We as a family couldn’t be happier with the care my Dad receives. The home is beautiful. The staff are so attentive and my Father loves the delicious food. It’s a difficult decision putting a loved one into care but the manager and all her

My sister arrived at Formby Manor in a very poor, physical condition following a bad fall. The excellent care and attention provided by the nursing and care staff have reversed her poor state of health dramatically. The manager is interested not only in the resident but also in their relatives too.
The accommodation and restaurants are very impressive and the food is excellent. Overall, I feel that Formby Manor is run by staff who really do care for their resident. Our grateful thanks to you all.

My mother has been a resident at Formby Manor since January 2020. The accommodation, service and food are of a very high standard. More importantly, all the staff I liaise with are marvellous really gentle and caring always professional and cheerful. This atmosphere starts at the front of the house
and goes through the entire home including the medical care which excellent and proactive. Mum is happy in the home and often comments on the kindness of the staff she likes the flexibility around meals with the cooks always prepared to prepare an alternative dish if she just wants a light meal... incidentally the homemade cakes are exceptional! She has made friends in the home and the atmosphere is generally akin to staying in a hotel.

My aunt has lived here for nearly a year and every time I see her she looks like she is going to a wedding, hair beautiful, nails manicured and polished. She was very lonely at home but now has company 24x7 and we are so happy she is safely looked after by wonderful staff. She has been so safe during
Covid and all rules have been strictly adhered to. Wonderful home and staff. Thank you.

My mother-in-law was admitted to Formby Manor at the end of February. I have been impressed by the high quality of nursing care she has received and the way all the staff have treated her with dignity and respect. Her accommodation is spacious and well presented and leads out onto a well-kept garden.
This is a 'home' which is run by caring, professional staff who put the complex needs of the residents first.

My mother is a resident at Formby Manor Care Centre. The care there is person-centred and the staff are very caring. Due to the National guidelines for care homes visiting has been restricted but the staff have done their best to ensure that family contact has been maintained during these difficult
times. I used to visit mum every day prior to the first lockdown and I can tell from my recent visits that mum has been very well cared for during the lockdowns which has been very reassuring for the family. Formby Manor has some excellent facilities for people living with dementia and a lovely enclosed garden for the residents.

My mum moved into Formby Manor Care Centre after a terrible stroke. The stroke affected her memory and impacted her eyesight. My mum was also a dialysis patient for over 15 years.
The management and staff could not have done more to make Mum happy and comfortable. Mum very quickly settled in and enjoyed
the company and fist class gentle care the team gave her. Formby Manor became Mum's home. Throughout Covid the team and admin team kept us fully in touch using video link and then shielded visiting in a totally safe and secure but homely environment. From the top down the staff show genuine respect for the people they look after. In such a terrible time with Covid the team at Formby Manor went the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble. I can’t thank the management and staff enough.

I have been working for New Care as a Clinical lead for some time. When an opportunity arose to become the Home manager at Formby Manor, I felt honoured to succeed the retiring Home Manager.


I have been supported not only by my residents, colleagues and relatives but the wider New Care community in my promotion. It is a privilege to work with a company that goes above and beyond on a daily basis, this is right up to the senior management.


New Care have the residents at the forefront of their ethos, and they always make sure their staff are supported; this is one of the many reasons I am passionate about not just Formby Manor but NewCare in general. I look forward to many more years working in this new role, learning from my peers and being within the NewCare family.

I have worked at Formby Manor as a Registered Nurse since 2021 and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Clinically I am supported by teams with years of experience in nursing and achieving excellent outcomes for our residents. I am passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care and developing a kind, caring, compassionate and professional relationship with residents and families alike. I have worked in the care sector for 7 years; I started my career as a Care Assistant. I have now worked for New Care since 2020, I started my career at Formby Manor Care Centre as a Care Assistant. I loved my role as a Care Assistant and wanted to further my career with a company that I know looks after its staff.


From Care Assistant I went on to be a Team Leader in the home, I worked as a Team Leader for 10 months and when the opportunity came to become a Head of Care I jumped at the chance. I have now been in my Head of Care role for 5 months. I have never felt as supported by a company as I do New Care.


The home I work for is amazing, with amazing staff and leadership but I have found in my new role the support is not just the staff from my own home, it is a whole company approach and I love that.

I have worked in the care sector for 8 years. After caring for my great nan, I started my career as a community carer and worked in a children's home. Before joining New Care at Formby Manor as a Hospitality assistant. I was in this role for a year and 3 months. The opportunity for Wellbeing Coordinator became available, I was hesitant to go for it at first but after discussing the role with management. I decided to go for it. I have now been in this role for 9 months and have loved every minute. Getting to see the residents happy and enjoying themselves and playing a big part in their wellness is so rewarding. I love working at Formby Manor all the staff are amazing and we all support each other. It's like a big second family.

Having worked for Newcare for 3 years now I can say with absolute certainty that it has promoted an environment where learning is fun, accessible and generates positive discussion around improvement.
