Welcome to Formby Manor; a lovely and luxurious care home located in the coastal town of Formby.

Formby Manor is a purpose-built 76 bed ‘new generation’ care facility that has been expertly designed to meet all current CQC requirements and provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. The care home offers residential, nursing and specialist dementia care.

Internally, the attention to detail is impressive. The high specification and décor of Formby Manor have been carefully considered by an interior designer, creating stylish yet comfortable and practical spaces for residents to enjoy.

Arranged over three floors, the facilities at Formby Manor are exceptional, with each floor enjoying its own communal lounges and restaurants. All bedrooms boast en suite wet rooms, and there is also a spa assisted bathroom, hairdresser & nail bar.

There are beautiful, mature gardens and outside seating areas at Formby Manor along with extensive terrace areas to the first floor.

Formby Manor has an amazing environment and a very person-centred approach. My sister has been a resident now for 3 months and placing her into a care home was a very difficult transition for all of us. Having said that, all the staff at Formby Manor have done their very best to help her settle and
to put our worries to bed. From the Home Manager right through to the auxiliary staff everyone has done their best to make my sisters life as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. There is a great atmosphere and the activities team make it a fun and enjoyable place to live and visit. It is a real home from home atmosphere and nothing is ever too much trouble. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it as a safe and secure environment.

The care in the home was excellent. My husband particularly liked one carer because he had the same silly sense of humour! Two other carers were very good too. Everyone was good.
The only negative was that I felt I had to be there with him all the time because he wasn't keen on sitting in the big lounge
and I didn't like leaving him alone in his room at the end of the corridor, in case he tried to get out of his chair and fall.
I admire the patience of all of you.

My mother has been a resident at Formby Manor from not long after it opened. From day one, I have been totally impressed with the centre and all of its staff. Whenever I visit, there is always a warm welcome from the reception staff and the manager, and this continues on the first floor with the carers,
hospitality, housekeeping, wellbeing and maintenance staff. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. If you visit at mealtimes or when tea and coffee are served, you are always invited to stay or offered a drink. This is so different from the place where my mum spent a week of respite care. The food is high quality, varied and nutritious and all residents are asked what their favourite foods are so these can be added to the menu. The well-being staff keep the residents entertained and mentally stimulated which is extremely beneficial to those living with dementia. I could say so much more about Formby Manor because it is exceptional. Thank you all for caring for Mum.

I have been working for New Care as a Clinical lead for some time. When an opportunity arose to become the Home manager at Formby Manor, I felt honoured to succeed the retiring Home Manager.


I have been supported not only by my residents, colleagues and relatives but the wider New Care community in my promotion. It is a privilege to work with a company that goes above and beyond on a daily basis, this is right up to the senior management.


New Care have the residents at the forefront of their ethos, and they always make sure their staff are supported; this is one of the many reasons I am passionate about not just Formby Manor but NewCare in general. I look forward to many more years working in this new role, learning from my peers and being within the NewCare family.

I have worked at Formby Manor as a Registered Nurse since 2021 and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Clinically I am supported by teams with years of experience in nursing and achieving excellent outcomes for our residents. I am passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care and developing a kind, caring, compassionate and professional relationship with residents and families alike. I am delighted to be appointed as Clinical Lead at Formby Manor and feel honoured to work alongside my colleagues in providing the best care to all of our residents. I have worked in the care sector for 7 years; I started my career as a Care Assistant. I have now worked for New Care since 2020, I started my career at Formby Manor Care Centre as a Care Assistant. I loved my role as a Care Assistant and wanted to further my career with a company that I know looks after its staff.


From Care Assistant I went on to be a Team Leader in the home, I worked as a Team Leader for 10 months and when the opportunity came to become a Head of Care I jumped at the chance. I have now been in my Head of Care role for 5 months. I have never felt as supported by a company as I do New Care.


The home I work for is amazing, with amazing staff and leadership but I have found in my new role the support is not just the staff from my own home, it is a whole company approach and I love that.

Job Title: Well-being Coordinator

I have worked in the care sector for 8 years. After caring for my great nan, I started my career as a community carer and worked in a children's home. Before joining New Care at Formby Manor as a Hospitality assistant. I was in this role for a year and 3 months. The opportunity for Wellbeing Coordinator became available, I was hesitant to go for it at first but after discussing the role with management. I decided to go for it. I have now been in this role for 9 months and have loved every minute. Getting to see the residents happy and enjoying themselves and playing a big part in their wellness is so rewarding. I love working at Formby Manor all the staff are amazing and we all support each other. It's like a big second family.

Having worked for Newcare for 3 years now I can say with absolute certainty that it has promoted an environment where learning is fun, accessible and generates positive discussion around improvement. As a trainer, I feel like I am given the opportunity to choose what is right for our staff and to tailor learning to individual needs. The feedback is great and staff look forward to their sessions. But most importantly all staff are listened to and feel part of a great team, no matter their role.
