From the moment we entered the home, the team were welcoming and listened to our requirements. Dad needed respite for several weeks and nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to ensure that he was looked after and received the best care possible. His care was first class and his health
improved dramatically. They also took the lead in sorting his medication out with the doctor's surgery and I sincerely thank them for that.
The home's decor is of a very high standard and the gardens are lovely. They will be even more so when established. All of the staff do the best they can for the residents Thank you all.
I would not hesitate to take my father back to Wendreth Court.

My father who is nearly 90 with various care needs stayed for 10 days for respite care in July.
The home care was well presented very modern and spacious. Father's room was of a good size with a door leading out onto a lovely patio adjacent to gardens. The room had plenty of room for walkers and wheelchairs.
All
the staff that I met were very professional and caring.
I would recommend the home wholeheartedly.

My parents have moved into this brand new care home which has just opened. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious and light with a lovely view of the gardens. The staff have made them feel welcome and comfortable. My parents have Alzheimer's and I was very worried about moving them to somewhere
new but I need not have worried. They are happy, well-presented, clean and well-fed. The food is delicious and the staff are keeping all areas clean. The staff are always on hand and they too are happy and approachable. Keep up the good work and thank you for making the "move" easier for me. Thank you.

The home is bright, cheerful and welcoming. The staff are all lovely, very helpful and caring.
Nothing is too much trouble. Although Wendreth is newly opened, so not many activities are planned yet, the staff make sure that the residents have an activity to do, so that nobody is just sitting in their
chair all day. Families of residents too are looked after. It is classed as the resident's family's new home as well as the resident's new home. 100% recommended.

1 week in and Dad has settled well, staff are respectful and caring to residents and family, the outside space is a positive experience for Dad, residents are encouraged to join in with mealtimes and activities but the staff recognise sometimes a little quiet time is needed and that's ok too.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.996)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.996) out of 10 for Wendreth Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.851 for Wendreth Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (59 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 67 Ratings = 4.851

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.145 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wendreth Court Care Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 registered maximum number of service users is 11. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 11 = 0.545

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
