We really value your feedback. Firstly, I am sorry you didn’t feel able to come along to the dining room for your meals, we have reviewed our meal service to those choosing to eat in their rooms and your feedback has been noted and we have now improved this service.
Here at Heath Lodge, we pride ourselves on delivering person centred care and our home being a community, with this in mind we don’t believe residents should be separated due to a diagnosis of living with dementia. We regularly review individuals needs and if we feel an individual is having an impact on others living at Heath Lodge, we address this with our trained staff and reach out to our community support teams to help support the resident.

I am sorry to hear that you are frustrated with the level of service you feel your relative received at Heath Lodge Care home. A detailed preadmission assessment was completed and your relative visited for lunch prior to the admission. Unfortunately, there are times when a person’s needs can change rapidly, and this was the case during your relative’s admission. We have a duty of care to ensure our team can look after people safely and there are times that needs can become too great. In this case, it would have been to the detriment to the resident if they continued to reside within this setting. I wish you well in finding a suitable care home to meet your relative’s needs.

Heath Lodge is a lovely brand new residential care home with very modern features - overlooking open fields and gardens with a very ‘homely’ atmosphere. Both the manager and care manager are very approachable with excellent lines of communication. We would thoroughly recommend Heath Lodge.
