Heathfield Court is an award-winning care home that provides compassionate residential, nursing and dementia care.

The experienced team focuses on gaining a deep understanding of each of their treasured residents, alongside their medical and physical needs. They also seek to establish meaningful relationships with residents’ loved ones, involving them in life at the home.

There is a varied schedule of person-centred activities to suit all interests and abilities; from art afternoons and fun group exercise to gardening club.

Residents are supported to maintain links with the local community, building friendships with school children and visiting performers, as well as enjoying regular minibus excursions to historical sites, museums, tea rooms, and nature reserves. The home also runs a ‘make a wish’ initiative, granting residents’ wishes, big and small.

Set over three floors, the elegant and welcoming home features beautiful en-suite bedrooms, relaxing lounges and a bustling bistro. There is an on-site library, cinema, spa and hair salon, all surrounded by tranquil landscaped gardens and a sunny roof terrace. The home also offers the latest in dementia aid technology from Tovertafel digital games table to sensory spa bathrooms.

Heathfield Court is home to affectionate rescue dogs, Trixie and Lulu. Residents enjoy petting and grooming the lovable duo, as well as taking them for walks in the garden and surrounding countryside.

In September 2023, Heathfield Court was voted among the Top 20 care homes in London by carehome.co.uk, for the second-time. It was also a Regional Finalist for the Putting People First Award in the Great British Care Awards 2023.

A very welcoming environment and I feel the staff genuinely care for the residents. It is a happy place. The rooms are clean and residents seem happy and content. Staff contact me when necessary so I don't worry that anything is wrong. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

My Great Aunt went into Heathfield Court for nursing end of life care. I have to say it was the best experience we could possibly have asked for. From the moment we walked through the door and the administrator greeted us to the day my Great Aunt sadly passed away. All the staff were so kind and caring
not just with my Great Aunt but with us as a family. The Manager really took time out of her day to make sure we were all looked after, she really went above and beyond and we will always be grateful.

My sister and I are very happy with the home and the care and all of the staff. The atmosphere here is always relaxed. The décor is tasteful and stylish.
Every member of staff that we have met has been genuinely caring and kind. The staff are friendly and professional.
Most importantly, after a year
of our mum being in hospital, we, at last, do not worry about her or her care when we say goodbye after our visits. Heathfield is a special place.

Could not have wished for a better place for my mum-in-law to be cared for.
Such a pity she was not well enough to enjoy all the facilities provided. Staff and care all superb.

Mum is very well looked after. Some hiccups when change of management and lots of staff changes.
Staff support relatives and are kind.
I feel that at times more staff are required to help with personal care on the nursing floor. Lovely bathroom but staff do not have time to use this with residents.
Mum has only had one bath which she enjoyed very much

First class establishment. Well managed, clean and friendly. More than anything, the staff are fantastic. The care they gave my relative was exceptional, not once did I worry about her security and care. I would highly recommend Heathfield Court, they go beyond any expectations and leave you confident

Lovely new home, open about 1 year, a vast improvement on the last one. Great staff, great surrounds, a real pleasure for both my mother and visitors. Cannot fault this home at all. Staff go above and beyond.

This is a new home but in a relatively short time, it has developed an exceptional standard of care. The staff are caring and committed and led by an amazing management team.

The manager and her deputy run the care home with attention, not just to the residents but to their environment too. They also pay attention to the relatives and the small details that make for a very 'tight ship'.
The home is very well run, everybody - nursing, cleaning, maintenance, kitchen, carers,
laundry, bistro and entertainment staff all know the residents and make it their job to find out about the residents who treat them with respect.
We are always made to feel most welcome with nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It's the place I would want to go to!!!

I feel fortunate to have secured a place for our mum in Heathfield Court. The standard of care, the environment, activities, housekeeping and food are all excellent.


From the home manager and deputy, nurses, carers and the "wider team" all treat our mum and other residents with great care and respect.

You have the sense that they genuinely care, not just caring for, but caring about our mum (and others).

I think the care home is very nice and has lovely people here.

Nikki

Nikki Martin

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2023

Nikki began her inspirational career in care back in 1988 and joined Heathfield Court as a senior carer in 2018, a year after we opened. Showing a natural flair for person-centred care, Nikki’s talent was quickly recognised, as she progressed to a team leader, then later head of care.


Nikki’s dedication, passion and unwavering ability to bring joy to others, shone through year after year, and it wasn’t long before she took on the role of deputy manager. She even chose to move into Heathfield Court during the early days of the pandemic, to provide care and reassurance to our residents and wider team.


A graduate of our Management Academy, Nikki excelled in our training programme for aspiring leaders in 2021. Throughout this time, she was personally mentored by Carebase business manager and former home manager Gina Kitchenham. Nikki became Heathfield Court’s registered home manager in 2023.


Nikki shares that: “The best part of my job is making the residents laugh and providing them with the best possible experiences in the later part of their life. That’s what makes me happy.”


When she isn’t with her Heathfield family, Nikki likes to spend time with her husband Pat and grandchildren, Khloe, 13, and Finley, 6, as well as enjoying time with her son, Thomas, and daughter Stacey – who also works at Heathfield as our receptionist!
