Holly Oak Care Centre provides care for people with dementia and follows the internationally recognised ‘Household Model’ of person-centred care. A dedicated and specifically qualified team of staff provide the most genuine care. Holly Oak is family run and maintains a strong ethos of individual and community care.

Opened in 2021, the home offers state-of-the-art facilities to an exceedingly high specification and bedrooms luxuriously appointed with garden views. All bedrooms have en-suites and are generously proportioned.

Dining at Holly Oak is considered excellent with a focus on fresh produce and homemade dishes. All preferences and dietary needs are catered for.

The home boasts fabulous social areas including Bessy's Tea Room, a private bar, orangery and many small lounge and terrace spaces. The terrace outdoor entertainment space is complete with screen and sound system, offering the perfect space to spend time with friends and loved ones.

Bessy's Tea Room offers private dining, parties and cream teas. The extravagant cakes and pastries created by the chefs are highly rated by residents and families. They cater for anniversaries, birthdays and special occasions for relatives and friends offering indulgent food and amazing desserts at great prices.

Holly Oak community provides a full range of services to meet the changing needs of its residents. Staff are in very good contact with families to ensure the best holistic care and attention.

Kaye's Hair & Nails offers the ultimate pampering experience; with a range of hair and beauty treatments, it is a space to relax and socialise.

My father has settled in really well at the Holly Oak Care Centre, thanks in no small part to the wonderful care staff who have been so kind and helpful. The facilities in the home are first class and there are regular activities for the residents to enjoy. My father particularly enjoys the music sessions
and they even got him up dancing. He also seems to enjoy the food and a glass or two of red wine, Holly Oak is a everything we hoped for in choosing a care home and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

After a really difficult time in hospital Mum came to Holly Oak Care Centre for some respite care. The team were thoughtful, caring, considerate and took care of our whole family. Mum is so settled and happy that she is now going to stay as a resident.

My Mum came into the Holly Oak Care Centre in June 21. She had previously resided at an alternative care home in Boston from 2019!
We were travelling 300 miles each way to visit plus overnight stays in hotels after we had to sell Mum's bungalow to continue paying for her care.
The management very
kindly arranged for Mum to have an assessment and were happy to accept her here in Gloucestershire to be near her family. Unfortunately, Mum's condition has deteriorated somewhat, but the Staff have looked after her well, and have been very courteous and patient with her moods.

Following a relatively quick physical and cognitive decline after a diagnosis of frontal-temporal dementia and Alzheimers at the relatively early age of 67 it became clear that the home care that my brother, who is single, was receiving, was no longer sufficient to meet his needs, and that residential
care was essential. I was therefore delighted that a place became available at Holly Oak Care Centre in February 2022. The care he is receiving is first class, with his best interests being attended to in every way possible, both from the health and social perspective. The activities provided and his daily care are first class, including the provision of a keyboard so that in a very limited way he can continue to be provided with a link to his musical ability. All in all I am very impressed with Holly Oak and the care provided by the staff and the environment.

Holly Oak Care Centre is a beautiful home offering a high standard of care by friendly and helpful staff. Mum settled very quickly and enjoys the frequent and enjoyable variety of activities, for example, singing, trips out in the minibus and the Jubilee party.

Rooms are beautifully appointed. All can be personalised as desired. Residents are looked after and cared for in a thoughtful and relaxing manner. Residents certainly felt a part of a family. Likes and dislikes are accommodated 100%. All staff are extremely friendly, courteous and hopeful, and they

The care my Mum received at Holly Oak Care Centre was outstanding. She was extremely well cared for by a wonderful team.
The support that they gave us was truly appreciated with telephone calls to keep us updated, accommodating visits through such a difficult time and such kindness.
We feel very fortunate
that mum spent the last few months of her life in such a loving and safe environment where she was treated with the upmost dignity.
We would not hesitate to recommend Holly Oak.

The staff at the Holly Oaks Care Centre are very caring and professional and have assisted Mum in becoming very settled in her new home.
We would also like to thank the team for making Christmas day 2021 so special, allowing us to be together as a family celebrating the festive period. The food and

My mum has been a resident at Holly Oak Care Centre for just over a year and I cannot speak highly enough of the care home. She had previously been living in The Hollies and moved to Holly Oak on the advice of the home due to changes in her care needs. The Holly Oak environment with its 'household model
of care' provides a supportive, family environment which has really helped to address my mums spiralling anxiety and allowed her to enjoy socialising and activities again. The improvement in her quality of life has been a huge relief and there are lots of activities going on. All the staff are so welcoming, friendly and supportive, both to my mum and to us as visiting family. The home has seemed to navigate the difficulties of Covid extremely well and worked hard to enable visiting during challenging times. I have appreciated the lovely facilities at Holly Oaks, in particular Betty's tea room, where we can have a family get together in a supportive environment over a very delicious cream tea!

We are so pleased with the excellent care provided to our Dad from all of the staff at Holly Oak Care Centre. My Dad was diagnosed with Frontal Lobe dementia (early onset) at the age of 62, which was devastating for my brother and I. When his cognitive abilities declined and with young families ourselves
we felt we had to make the most difficult decision to move him to a care home. Thanks to the professional and passionate staff at Holly Oak this difficult process turned out to be life changing and a huge relief. Dad is now very settled and happy. I would highly recommend this home for dementia care, both early onset and advanced.

The staff at the Holly Oak Care Centre are very professional and caring and have given excellent support to my mother during her time there. They enable family visits within current guidelines around Covid and are willing to adapt times to support family who travel from a distance.
Activities are planned
to engage residents and suit their interests and staff have worked hard to keep a very positive outlook during this challenging year. We are very appreciative.

The Holly Oak puts the residents first, in all they do. They do activities to suit the residents in their care. The care they give to my mum is outstanding. All staff are welcoming and friendly when I visit and happy for me to ring up and ask how mum is. They are happy to put mum onto the phone to have
a chat or video call too.
Mum is always looking good, hair done, wearing clean clothes. The staff ring to keep me up to date on any changes in Mum.

Jonathan Hawkins

Job Title: Managing Director

Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in managing care homes. He built The Hollies in 2006 and has gone on to create a full service care home that embraces personalised care. He has worked hard to build a truly supportive community not only within the Hollies but also within the local community. His tacit understanding of the residents means there are new initiatives on the go all the time and the facilities and amenities on-site are state-of-the-art; these include the new Holly Oak purpose built dementia home.

Becky is an individual with a wealth of clinical experience and has worked in various roles within the Hollies care home. Recently, she was promoted to the position of Deputy Manager at Holly Oak Dementia Care Home. In addition to her managerial responsibilities, Becky is also a dementia trainer and is currently pursuing further studies. Her goal is to leverage her ongoing studies and research to enhance the uniqueness of Holly Oak, to provide the staff with training opportunities.
