A warm, bright and welcoming setting, residents at Hulton House receive high quality care and support from a highly trained and committed team who are dedicated to enriching the lives of both residents and their families, through kindness, engagement, communication and a passion to make a difference.

At Hulton House, they take a 'whole home' approach to creating meaningful activities for residents. All staff, no matter what their job title, are responsible for ensuring that any interaction they have with residents reflects their personal interests and preferences at all times. From the way they like to prepare for the day, their hobbies and interests, the way they like to enjoy their food, or keep in touch with relatives and friends and the way they like to prepare themselves for their night time routine. The team believe all these things should be meaningful to the resident and the way they lived their life before they moved into the home

A regular weekly programme of inclusive activities is also available and includes themed events, trips out, visits from professional musicians and entertainers, guided walks round the gardens and to the local duck pond to feed the ducks, chair-based exercise classes, arts and crafts, baking, film nights, games on the Tovers (interactive table) and a trip out on the virtual car experience. Residents are also encouraged to take advantage of the pamper suite where they can enjoy pedicures, manicures, massages, hair cutting and styling.

The staff on my mum's unit are all friendly, cheerful and helpful.
The home is kept immaculately clean.
The residents have great interaction with the staff.
Front-of-house and management are always approachable and go out of their way to resolve any issues or questions you may have.

Hulton House Care Home is a stylish environment, which makes for a more pleasurable visit. The reception and management team are welcoming and receptive. The nurses are friendly and help. The carers and cleaners are cheerful and happy to assist with any needs. Regular meetings with the management team
and support group are great for communication and feedback.

Hulton House Care Home provided an environment that was safe, clean and caring for mum. The staff had a good understanding of mum's condition and her needs. They showed compassion and love to her and tried lots of different approaches to engage with her. When visiting, I was always made welcome and

My uncle passed away yesterday here the care he has received since being in there was excellent the staff are very caring and these last couple of weeks of him getting palliative care has been so comforting I would just like to thank all the staff for there hard work that they do I couldn't have asked
for better care for him

I don't visit often as I live a long distance away, but each time I have seen my brother-in-law he is extremely well cared for. The staff are lovely and Hulton House is a welcoming place.

I can only speak of my experience. My partner has complex dementia and I have tried many homes but Hulton House has been unbelievable. Most of the staff have taken care of my girl. If there is a problem it's seen to quickly. Please don't hesitate to go to management, their door is always open, and they
will do their very best to sort it out. They care about you as well as the resident.

I have been attending Hulton House for a few years visiting my father.
I can honestly say that on 'EVERY' occasion the staff have been absolutely wonderful both towards me, and more importantly, my father.
It is a massive comfort to know just how much love and care my father is afforded constantly.

My Mum was well cared for by the staff from the time she went in right till the end of her life. The staff were always there when you needed them. They had various activities that the residents could join in with, also a singer who was lovely and would get the residents to sing along with her. Outside
they had nice gardens which were lovely for the summer months.

The home is a home for my wife. She is very happy and well looked after. The staff are fantastic and all from management down have my wife's best interests at heart. Laundry is a challenge as my wife has to change regularly but the home have been very adaptable with caring for her needs. I will recommend
all to this care home. I am very happy with the care provided.

Hulton House is a stunning care home! My nanna has settled excellently. The staff are so hospitable and friendly. There are so many interactive activities taking place- they even had my Nanna engaged in them! (which is amazing!) Lastly, amazing communication with the family!

Hulton House is a beautiful nursing home our Mum has been very settled. All the staff from admin to care/nursing staff are very attentive to our Mums everyday needs and very approachable for all the family. We have always been welcomed with a smile, updated, and respect. Welcoming on arrival. Everywhere is very clean, and secure to every level. Staff polite and always smiling. Very caring and tolerant with the residents. Room clean and bright and very comfortable can be a bit noisy on arrival takes a while for everything to settle down.

From entering your home, the staff were very friendly and helpful, which I found very helpful as I was obviously anxious about my friend. Your reception girls/ladies were lovely and it calmed me. On entering the unit the staff again were wonderful. My friend was taken ill and to hospital last week and
returning back to your home, your staff were extra diligent in looking after her and keeping her calm. It was quite wonderful to see, so a big thank you for all you do.

My wife was admitted in June 2021, in that time all I found is that the staff, building, facilities and care have been exceptional. The carers have a difficult and testing job but everybody is so kind and nothing too much to make sure my wife gets all the attention she needs. Got to know a lot of the
staff on the unit due to visiting my wife on a regular basis, they do an outstanding job under some difficult conditions. Very pleased with all the care she receives.

I have an aversion to any care home, that is my personal opinion but I would hate to be in one. I find Hulton House to be very welcoming clean and the staff very friendly and nice, I feel that there are quite a lot of staff changes only a few have been there a long time. I do not deal with any of the
day-to-day details but I do know that management has had many changes and that it has been difficult on one or two occasions to be updated.

Pleased with the care he receives. Every permanent staff member is very friendly and knowledgeable. My husband came out of hospital very skinny and since being at Hulton House he has begun to gain weight.

Mikey Moat

Job Title: Registered Home Manager

Joined: 2024

Mikey is a well-respected member of the Hulton House family and was promoted to Home Manager on March 1st 2024. Here he gives a brief history of his career to date.


'I have worked in the Healthcare Sector since 2013, starting in the nursing home sector, I migrated to the NHS in 2015 where I completed my Nurse Training and worked at Royal Preston Hospital for 8 years where I worked in many different areas such as Surgical, Medical and Acute Assessment Areas, I completed a short period within the community setting as a District Nurse.


I started employment with L&M Healthcare in 2022 where I’ve worked at Hulton House since. I started as a nurse then progressed to Unit Manager then Deputy Manager and now Home Manager, I strive to deliver person-centred care and improve the quality of lives for those under my direct or indirect care. I am an open, honest, and transparent individual who runs an open-door policy, meaning that you’re able to approach me at any point If you wish to do so.


On a personal note, I love interior design and have a passion for animals. I have seven dogs, 13 ducks, lots of fish, and soon-to-be two kittens. My dream one day is to have a farmhouse.'
