We are so delighted, and relieved too, that Mum's new home is at Hyllden Heights. It has the loveliest atmosphere, and such a strong management and team leaders who are regularly checking in with us that all is well. They respond to any feedback, the smallest thing that may matter to my mum, they want
to know about and support. The staff, from the moment you are greeted at Reception and then within, the Care team, those in the kitchen/ restaurant, maintenance and management, are all feeling like an extension of family to us, and wearing so many smiles, that helps create the positive atmosphere for Residents and visitors too. It is a huge relief for me and indeed for Mum, that she feels just so settled and happy there, and that I know I can rely on her being kindly looked after, as well as being offered happy, interesting days, plus cuddles, which are good for the soul! Her room is also generously sized, as is the bed. Moving in was the best decision she and our family could have made.

The entire home is exceptionally well kept, clean, tidy and in excellent condition. The staff are very attentive and provide excellent care. The facilities for visitors are very well thought out and make visiting a real pleasure.

My mother 89, decided that she couldn't live at home any longer due to falls. We found Hyllden Heights care home, it has just been open for 14 months and is beautifully decorated, they have really thought about what a modern care home facility should be like.
We have been delighted as a family with
every member of staff we have met and the care they give the residents.
Mum has been living at Hyllden Heights for 3 months now and she is enjoying the in-house chefs' 3-course meals, the activities team is incredible, led by one staff member, and they are so interactive with all the residents.
The staff are so welcoming and professional every time we have visited the home, it always has a real positive buzz about it from the bistro hub meeting area for drinks and cakes, the lovely outdoor patio seating space, the beautiful bedrooms, cinema room, the trips out in the minibus. We would highly recommend Hyllden Heights by Oakland Care.

My mother and father needed immediate respite, Hyllden Heights even though far from home and very daunting for them, was a great experience! From Day 1 the team were so welcoming and immediately the deputy manager wanted to understand their different needs so that they could get them settled in as soon
as possible, she went over and above to ensure that was the case.
The communication was great as they kept my sister and I updated. When I visited they engaged with me as if I was their resident and I also felt at home there and welcomed always.
Even though hard for my mother and father to get used to a different routine, place and not being at home, they met so many wonderful carers, enjoyed the daily activities and the different facilities for example: the onsite hair salon.
Leaving after three weeks they were sad to leave as they had made friends and loved the warmth from the whole team.
We would definitely choose Hyllden Heights again based on their experience.

I stayed at Hyllden Heights for 2 weeks, whilst recovering from major surgery, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The facilities and cleanliness throughout were very good, and all of the staff were very caring, friendly and professional. It was very reassuring to see that there
was always a good level of staff on hand and there was never a delay in response when I requested assistance. I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely care home.

My aunt has been a resident since August this year. After looking around several homes locally this was by far the best choice. The staff are friendly and approachable and most of all always smiling which goes a long way. The care and attention given to residents is perfect. The staff check with the

We moved our parents to Hyllden Heights in early autumn from another nearby care home and wish we had found it sooner. An inspirational management team with senior nursing backgrounds lead a caring, compassionate staff, many of whom have worked together previously. It is a cohesive team of nurses,
carers and support staff who have heart. They are open and welcoming to residents and their families. Dementia care is hard to staff because it is so demanding. It requires continuity of care from a constant team of committed, permanent staff, fully aware of the details of care plans and able to relate to those losing their faculties and sense of self with sensitivity and respect for each individual. Our father’s care was all we hoped for in his final months from just such committed nurses and carers and afforded him dignity and utmost respect through his final months and end-of-life care. Thank you Hyllden Heights for your exemplary care of our father and ongoing care of our mother.

I started at our Hastings Court Care Home in 2015. I previously worked in a small charity-run home for adults with learning disabilities for eight years. I started as a part-time Care Assistant whilst at college to study for my Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have progressed from Care Assistant to team leader then Community Lead to Deputy Manager at Hastings Court and now Interim General Manager at Hyllden Heights. I love my job, I enjoy the daily interaction I have with residents and staff. I feel proud to be able to support the team in helping them achieve their goals and create the best environment for our residents to live in. In my spare time, I play netball and love watching my son play football.
