Kincairney House Care Home is a purpose-built 80 bed luxury care home situated close to the city centre on Glover Street, Perth.

Expertly designed, the home meets and exceeds all current Care Inspectorate requirements and provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care.

Kincairney House is an attractive building that blends traditional brickwork with contemporary features and design. Internally, the attention to detail is impressive. The high specification and décor of The Home have been carefully considered by an interior designer, creating stylish yet comfortable and practical spaces with infection control built into the environment.

Arranged over three floors, Kincairney House offers private, spacious bedrooms each with an ensuite wet room. The bedrooms are arranged in small homely clusters each with its own lounge/ dining room, quiet lounge and assisted bathroom.

The resident bedrooms are spacious and well appointed, while the bedroom suites on the ground floor boast private terraces for the enjoyment of their inhabitants. All residents enjoy access to the secure garden areas and upper floor balconies.

My mother-in-law has now had/having the best care. She is always clean/showered/washed with fresh clothing on when we visit her. She enjoys the meals (she says too much choice), gets cups of tea on demand and the girls are very good with her, helping her to look at photos that her grandaughters send
her for her great-grandchildren who are hoping to visit in person very soon.

My mum moved into Kincairney House in Ocober 2020 and from her very first week there, when she celebrated her 90th Birthday she was made to feel special. We had a wonderful family celebration laid on by the home and will be long remembered. (see photo 28). Mum was very happy and quickly settled into
her new "home from home" almost becoming part of the fabric of the home. The door to her beautifuly apportioned room, was always open for chats with other residents and staff alike but sadly her stay was only to brief, as after a short illness she passed away in December. During that difficlut time the staff went out of their way to look after the family and the level of care given to my mum was unsurpassable. Kincairney House sets the standards for luxury but more than that the professionalism, dignity and respect from every member of staff is what sets it apart and made my mum's last few months there so happy.

Kincairney took my dad in after he had a spell in hospital. He was in a pretty poor way but the staff and nurses were exceptional in looking after him and making him comfortable in his new room.
The home is immaculately laid out with lots of space and separate areas if family are visiting.
They
have a full range of facilities for the residents and this, on top of the specialist care they provide, gives me a full piece of mind when I can’t be there.

My mum has dementia and was very difficult to settle in as she was very paranoid and psychotic. With the help of the staff and doctors, we have been able to get Mum on the right medication and with the moving of rooms, she has settled well. Staff are becoming a good team. In the room, the bathroom doors
are hung the wrong way round. Have seen Mum enter the bathroom in the dark as the light switch is on the other side.

Kincairney House is a beautifully appointed care home and the staff that I met were all very caring and patient. My mother was quite a challenging resident but they treated her with the utmost care. I was always made to feel very welcome when I visited.

My husband moved into Kincairney House in October and the management were extremely supportive in this process, relieving some of the pressures for my family and me. When visiting, the staff always make us feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. They have gone out of their way to
understand the needs of my husband and also my family. My husband is encouraged to take part in activities, which the staff adapt to enable him to participate. They even send pictures and videos so I can see what he’s achieving; I feel happy knowing that he’s happy. I receive frequent updates on his well-being and the staff are open to feedback and input and quickly implement these. His room is spacious and pleasantly decorated to a high standard and all social areas feel home from home. What I mostly appreciate about Kincairney House is that the staff go above and beyond to support the needs of my whole family, whether that is us staying for dinner or helping us take him out for the day.

Kincairney House has excellent facilities and wonderful, caring staff. They cared for my mother very well.
The rooms are large and well furnished and there are quiet lounges and lovely communal areas, including a cafe and a cinema.

My mother-in-law stayed at Kincairney House for a week's respite care. The care home is a new purpose-built one and to a certain extent still being set up. The home is beautiful and all the furnishings are top quality. It looks more like a hotel than a care home. All the staff were immaculately turned
out and very polite and attentive. The food was apparently excellent and varied. If I have any criticism it is that communication at the time of the booking process was initially a bit uncertain but this is probably due to all the staff being new and still learning. It is also more expensive than most care homes, but the best things always cost more.

Dad moved into Kincairney House in August 2021 and throughout his stay received excellent care and attention. All the staff contribute to providing a lovely welcoming atmosphere and the home is extremely luxurious and comfortable with bedrooms and lounges all equipped and furnished to a very standard.
Special compliments to the chef who provided fantastic meals and also homemade cakes and treats. We were lucky enough to manage a couple of family celebrations at Kincairney (diamond wedding and 90th birthday) which took place in the private dining room where we were provided with an excellent afternoon tea and refreshments. Dad was in Kincairney for palliative care and unfortunately passed away very recently. We had full confidence in the nursing and care staff who looked after him with kindness and compassion and provided everything he needed in his final stages. They also looked after and supported us as a family with such understanding and dignity. Many thanks to all the staff.

He is cared for with dignity, respect, and consideration of all his needs. I am also grateful for the understanding and support given to me during the

I am the care home manager of Kincairney House, Perth.


I have worked in care since I was 17 years old, working in all aspect’s care, domestic. I then went to university to train as a nurse, qualified as a general nurse in 2008 and worked in nursing homes. I was promoted to deputy manager in 2016 and then promote to home manager a year and a half later.


As a home manager, I get great delight in providing a high standard of person-centred care to the people who choose to live in Kincairney House. I Have a daughter who is 9 years old and two collies. I enjoy spending time with my family in my free time.
