My mum has been a resident at Kings Lodge for the last 10 months. We visited numerous homes prior to Mum moving here and as soon as we walked in, we knew it was the right choice. Mum is extremely happy here, is well cared for and is treated with the utmost respect and dignity. There are plenty of activities
to enjoy but she never feels pressured into joining in with anything if she doesn't want to. She enjoys her meals, which are freshly cooked in-house. We would have no hesitation in recommending Kings Lodge to anyone and are extremely grateful to everyone there for making my mum feel safe, comfortable, happy and well looked after.

My grandad was living in a different care home that wasn't particularly nice. He moved to Kings Lodge. The home is absolutely beautiful. The unit manager of his community was extremely kind and clearly very knowledgeable. She produced a comprehensive care plan which her team followed without question.
My grandad was very precise about his care and the entire team went over and above to ensure he was happy at all times. He had a lactose intolerance which the home was able to cater for easily. My grandad received end of life care within the home and was treated with dignity and respect until the very end. I cannot thank them enough for the care he received in his final months.

My mother is so happy and well cared for. I cannot fault her care.
In this strange uncertain year of 2020, I have never felt worried for my mother's safety. The staff take all the necessary precautions to keep residents protected from Covid-19 to the best of their control. They all deserve medals.

My father was looking for a placement within the Surrey area, he was very anxious about the move but thanks to the exceptional team at Kings Lodge my dad was made to feel very welcome. Dad has been at Kings Lodge since Sept 2019. It was a big step for him but he was unable to cope at home on his own
anymore. The surroundings, staff and care provided are way above any other care homes we visited in the area. It is comforting to know he is being well cared for.

My father (I am his POA) has been at Kings Lodge Care Home for 18months. The home itself is very nice decor and the wooded location is very impressive. However, we felt that the standard of care has been poor. My father has dementia and the staff did not appear well trained. My father's fingernails
were left uncut for months (leading to him scratching his face), he lost significant weight and was clearly not being reminded to shower/clean and there was also no adequate care plan in place. We raised our concerns with his care team but were told either it would happen (but never did) or there is nothing to be concerned about. We recently moved him (last three weeks) to a new home and the difference is in care/attitude at the new home is incredible. I, therefore, have a very good benchmark of what good/bad care looks like. I would really not recommended Kings Lodge as our experience is that there are better care homes out there.

Just an amazing experience, one I could not have imagined. My aunt was admitted in January with Dementia and passed last week. The care and attention was just wonderful and in the final hours made it easier for my uncle and our family. Lovely decor and rooms, the most caring and diligent of staff. I
cannot speak highly enough of King's Lodge. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone.

I was repatriated after breaking a leg badly while skiing. I needed somewhere easy to stay for a week to mobilise and start rehab. Aged 58, there were a few options and Kings Lodge was ideal. I had a good room and the caring staff arranged physio for me. There were good facilities for visitors and the
food was good. Whilst not primarily set up for short stays, they could not have been more helpful.

My parents moved to Kings Lodge in September 2017 from another care home in Camberley that failed to live up to expectations. They both flourished at Kings Lodge, but sadly my dad passed away in October. I was concerned my mother would be unsettled by the loss of her husband of 73 years, but the care
and compassion shown by all the front line staff have ensured that she continues to be very content and happy in her home. There are too many of the team to mention all by name, but special thanks goes to a few specific members of staff plus all those back room folk from the cleaners who keep the place immaculate to the catering team who make appetising meals and great cakes.

Mum said that the home was the nicest place she had been and said she would like to return when I go on holiday again.
Mum was treated with respect and dignity. Food was amazingly good.
The only negative point was that Mum's clean washing had an aroma of stale urine - this smell was also present in
the corridor.
I had to rewash all her clothes when she came home.

I booked my mother into Kings Lodge as I looked around other residential care homes and this one looked beautiful. Our son was married in Bali in August as he lives in Australia and all the family from the UK and the rest came from Australia. I felt that Kings Lodge came out best for my mother to respite
with lots of care. The staff were very, very friendly and my mother didn't have a bad word against them, she was treated beautifully and I wouldn't hesitate in booking her in there again.

It's a home from home but with utter luxury! My mother is extremely happy and contented. It's like staying in a boutique hotel but with all the care needed for each individual. On bringing my father-in-law to view the home, the staff were very friendly and helpful. He has now been in respite care for nearly 4 weeks. The staff have been very supportive and he has settled in very well. He speaks highly of the staff and the facilities he has used. The food is very good and there

What do I love about my role? That feeling of knowing that no matter how large or small, you’ve made someone’s day. Both of my roles are varied which I enjoy. I love the administrative areas and client liaison with relatives, however I just adore spending time doing activities. I enjoy being creative and implementing activities that take the residents back to a personal memory. Shop! It gives me great please in just making someone happy and laughing.


Favourite Activity – I’m clearly a repressed Barber! I created this activity and love to “dress the scene” and set the mood. “The Blind Barber” was so popular that the gentleman want it to feature every week. I enjoy it so much and feel I missed my vocation in life!


I also get great pleasure in taking the residents for a walk or push to see my horses. They often come to visit here too.


I’m a qualified Art Restored & Art Consultant and ran my own business for 5 Years and managed a Gallery for 15 years.


Keen Equestrian & have two horses who are located next door so I love to take the residents to visit them. Being outside and keeping active is an absolute passion with rugby and golf leading as some of my favourite sports!
