Marham House is located in Bury St Edmunds and provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 66 residents. Each spacious bedroom benefits from an en suite wet room. The home is located in a quiet residential area, whilst being close to transport links and local amenities and attractions.

Marham House is operated by Anchor. Anchor has more than 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people. Marham House continues to welcome new residents for residential and residential dementia care.

The dedicated care team gets to know each resident, working with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans so that their needs are always met. The Lifestyle Team are on hand to ensure that each resident enjoys each day as they wish to.

High quality dementia care is provided to residents living with the condition by colleagues who are fully trained to ensure the best approach.

The care team provides individual and compassionate care by getting to know each individual and building strong relationships with them and their loved ones.

Care Home - does not do justice to how all staff supported and helped Mum in her final weeks. It became Mum's and our home with immense care and love.

Staff are so diligent, nothing is too much bother for them. They are so caring and considerate both to myself and my husband. The building itself is out of this world. My husband was so happy while he was there, it was heartwarming to see.

Superlatives such as brilliant, terrific, marvellous are so often bandied around that they often lose their effectiveness in the case of Marham House, from the management team through to all who cared for my husband on his recent respite those superlatives and more absolutely apply. I have no hesitation
based on how happy he was with his care to recommend Marham House. Five stars.

We had a very positive experience right from our initial enquiry with the manager. She took the time to discuss and fully understand our mother's potential care needs. Recently our mother transitioned from hospital to Marham House Care Home and this was handled seamlessly. The manager, together with
her team of carers and the lifestyle team, were able to understand and adapt very quickly to our mother's needs to ensure she felt welcomed and at ease. In a very short period of time they were patiently, competently and intuitively able to ensure that our mother felt safe, understood, listened to and respected. Our mother has been encouraged and able to engage in some of her former hobbies in very comfortable and appealing surroundings and we have noticed a wonderful upswing in her vitality and positivity. Nothing is ever too much trouble and there are a variety of daily activities on offer including a hairdresser and movie nights which have also enhanced our mother's well being.

I spent an enjoyable three hours at The Mad Hatters Tea Party. There was plenty of lovely tea and cakes. The staff had worked so hard. The tables looked authentic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

A most enjoyable evening (Oscars award night), well planned and all the hard work it required ensured it went well. Enjoyed by all present, all the recipients were worthy winners. We were made very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. Beautiful cosy home atmosphere. Very friendly staff and more than happy to accommodate our mother's needs. My stay at Marham House Care Home was for a period of four months. During this time there was a significant improvement to my mood swings. For my wife, this period allowed her some respite for the first time in many years.
Throughout my stay, I was particularly conscious of the consistently high standard
of care/support provided by the manager and staff. The staff were proactive to all the individual needs for the residents.
I could see that the home provided a safe and peaceful haven for the mostly elderly residents under its care.

Pink Flamingo Party.
I enjoyed the evening very much, especially as I personally knew few people. In my opinion, we are a most amicable and various group. Friendly, characterful, funny!
Food and drink are good.
