Whilst my mother was living at Middleton Lodge, she was really well looked after. The staff were so kind and sensitive to her needs.
Her room was of a generous size and nicely decorated.
All the staff worked hard but were also pleasant and caring.

The care my grandmother receives at Middleton Lodge is excellent. All the staff who work there, including the care team, housekeepers, activity coordinators etc are all extremely friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to ensure the residents are happy and safe and receiving the best care possible.
The facilities are always very clean and tidy with lovely spacious bedrooms for the residents and nice common areas for them.

I've been living here at Middleton since April 2024 and I can truly say I have no regrets about choosing this care home. The staff do their best to give the place a nice/friendly atmosphere.
Finding things for us to take part in must be a challenge, as everybody's tastes are different. Consistency
that Middleton is only about 10 months old, the staff have provided us with quite a variety of activities to try. The food on offer hasn't always pleased all residents but the new chef is already looking good. We are looked after very well by the staff dealing with our medicines. I think anyone who chooses to live here will not be disappointed.

Mum has been a resident at Middleton Lodge for just over a year. After a very stressful start, Mum is now settled in her new home.
The care home is beautifully furnished, always clean and the rooms are very spacious. The staff are absolutely wonderful - from a friendly greeting at reception/updates
from the lovely staff, kind, approachable and down-to-earth manager - we couldn't ask for more! Mum rarely participates in activities but the lovely "Pink Ladies" are always organising wonderful things for the residents to take part in - they even had an "early doors" New Year's Eve party, which, to my delight, Mum actually attended and she was the happiest I have seen her in a very, very long time. Mum isn't a big eater and tends to sleep a lot (sometimes missing regular meal times) but the staff will ensure that she has something to eat anytime, day or night.
I am confident that Mum is safe and being carefully looked after and we know we can visit at any time. Thank you.

I came to live at Middleton Lodge Care Home in March 2024. I am very happy here, I have made some lovely friends from both residents and staff. Most of the time I feel I am on holiday in a five star hotel. All the staff are caring and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. There are lots
of interests catered for so you can be busy or quiet as you choose. Your health and well being are well looked after.

My husband has been in Middleton Lodge for nearly a year. From not walking, no communication and not being able to eat properly, moving forward to December, he is walking slowly, eating well and most days very happy. He has severe Vascular Dementia. But this home is like a big hug, the staff are very
caring, lovely place. He has also visited the mini Christmas Fair in the home in December.

I wish to thank all of the care staff, especially the three carers who looked after me when I had a fall and waited six and a half hours for the ambulance to arrive. I can highly recommend your care home to anyone needing respite.

Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. My second-floor room was lovely and everywhere well-furnished and comfortable. Number of pillows on bed was a nuisance and nowhere to put them as I only needed one. Meals were good on the whole but no menu on the second floor. The eggs at breakfast were always
hard as they had to stand a long time. Some fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice. Just teething troubles I think. Disabled parking needs to be monitored as it was abused.

The actual home is excellent. The cleanliness, food and drink are also excellent. Staff can only be as good as recruitment allows. Sometimes shortages cause hardship e.g. my friend being put into bed at 1:30 am.

I cannot recommend this home highly enough, it is lovely, clean and modern with caring supportive staff. My mum has been a resident at this care home for over 8 months. Mum reluctantly moved from her beloved bungalow into a home as she was no longer able to care for herself at home. She has found the
transition very difficult, however the staff have been unfailingly supportive and kind to both Mum and our family.

Mum moved into Middleton Lodge in May 2023 and is happy and settled.
She is very well cared for, loved and known by all of the staff and carers.
Any issues arising are dealt with swiftly and satisfactorily.
Staff are always friendly and polite and treat Mum with respect and care.
We can visit Mum
whenever we want (and do many times each week), but we know that we can leave her happy in the knowledge that she is, and will remain, safe and looked after very well.
Middleton Lodge feels like an extended family.

I moved into Middleton Lodge only a few days ago. I have found all staff to be friendly, happy and helpful. I have not yet had the opportunity to experience all the facilities i.e cinema, hairdressing. I have found all food to be appetising and nutritious. Coffee coffee-making machine is good, a treat
for me. It is currently not possible for me to give a comprehensive assessment however things look very promising. Homes of this type are not cheap but I think Middleton represents good value for money.

An exceptional care home. The building itself is brand new and beautiful. Nothing about it says care home, it feels like a luxurious hotel. Tasteful decor and quality soft furnishings. Hallways are thoughtfully themed - i.e. holidays, movies, sports - prompting conversation and memories. Many different
areas - lounges, libraries, coffee shop, cinema, salons and activity rooms. Dining rooms are perfectly appointed and the food is superb. Bedrooms are large and exceed expectations. The place is spotless - always!
The staff work as a truly cohesive team. Everyone takes time to be present for their residents. I see evidence of this every visit. All staff demonstrate the true meaning of person-centered care. Middleton staff are special people - respectful and genuine. Finally, the activity team is outstanding. Residents can do as much or as little as they choose, there is always something going on. The range of activities is diverse and varied.
We feel blessed to be here.

Simply awesome peace of mind knowing dad is happy and very well looked after, he's forever singing which is a sign he's happy and contented. He's made friends and really likes the staff who are all very good at their jobs. The festivities were so good, including us relatives joining in, we had Christmas
lunch with my father which was beyond beautiful, the church coming into the home is very appreciated too. Lovely thoughtful touch.

This is 100% five-star care and provision. It's a great location for the city and surrounding areas, so really accessible for non-drivers. Mum initially came for respite and loved it so much decided to make it her home. As a family, we couldn't be happier with the support and care given by all staff.
Its become a real family space as we get to know other families and residents. Also great entertainment.

‘Home Manager Jo Graves is a registered nurse with 30 years experience in healthcare. In her early career, she specialised in cancer care. Following this Jo undertook several roles within the acute care setting and worked as lead nurse for two private hospitals as well as working nationally in a variety of roles. She has over 5 years of experience as a Care Home CQC Registered Manager, specifically caring for residents with complex needs and those living with dementia.


Jo says: ‘It is a pleasure and a privilege to lead the team at Middleton Lodge to provide the highest quality care for those that we are privileged to care for. We have a beautiful, state-of-the-art care home in the heart of a wonderful community in Littleover and it is my passion to create a home that becomes a valued part of that.’

Danielle Odell

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager

Danielle is a qualified healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience. She holds a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management and has worked in several management roles throughout the past ten years of her career.

Job Title: Head Chef

Bringing a wealth of knowledge to his role as Head Chef, Ellis has worked in care homes for over 7 years, having previously owned his own bistro. He is adept in planning and preparing nutritious and delicious meals for residents and skilfully adapts meals into cutlery-free options for those who find manipulating cutlery a barrier.


Ellis’ cheerful character never fails to bring a smile to everyone’s day, and he stated, “I have been busy planning a selection of menus for residents, from three-course lunch menus to afternoon teas. Saffy Howell

Saffy has joined the team fresh from studying Art & Film at Lancaster University and brings tonnes of enthusiasm. If residents want to engage in craft projects, then Saffy is your woman. She is a keen painter and is looking forward to getting creative with residents, particularly to make decorations for the home themed events.


She loves nothing more than settling down to watch a good film and her favourite is the all-time classic, Dirty Dancing.
