I am sorry that you feel the staff are only as good as recruitment allows. Recruitment can be challenging at times and I am pleased to say that the staff team that we do have has the resident's best interests at heart. As a home, we deliver person-centred care and as much as is practically possible we will support residents to maintain their lifestyle choices and sometimes this means that they choose to retire in the early hours.

We have a beautiful, state-of-the-art care home in the heart of a wonderful community in Littleover and it is my passion to create a home that becomes a valued part of that.’

Danielle is a qualified healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience. She holds a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management and has worked in several management roles throughout the past ten years of her career.
Danielle explained, “It is an exciting time for Middleton Lodge. We are ready to welcome our first residents and start building our care community. We have recruited a friendly team of experienced care professionals, who provide the highest quality of care.”

Bringing a wealth of knowledge to his role as Head Chef, Ellis has worked in care homes for over 7 years, having previously owned his own bistro. He is adept in planning and preparing nutritious and delicious meals for residents and skilfully adapts meals into cutlery-free options for those who find manipulating cutlery a barrier.
Ellis’ cheerful character never fails to bring a smile to everyone’s day, and he stated, “I have been busy planning a selection of menus for residents, from three-course lunch menus to afternoon teas. The team and I aim to provide exceptional service, and we are looking forward to welcoming residents to Middleton Lodge. There will always be freshly baked pastries and cakes in our café for residents and visitors to enjoy!”

Sheena is our Home Administrator, she ensures the smooth running of the home, dealing with anything from finance to compliance, recruitment, and admissions. With over 15 years’ experience as a Home Administrator, we will need her expertise as the home grows and we know we are in safe hands.

Job Title: Well-being & Activities Co-ordinator

Holly has been working in care for two years, but says she was born to do this job and couldn’t see herself doing anything else. Holly says:
‘There is nothing better than being the person who brightens up a resident’s day’.
Holly is Mum to her 7-year-old Son and when she’s not busy with Mum's duties, spends her time socialising with friends and enjoys getting her teeth into a good true crime novel.
Holly heads up our Well-being & Activities Team and brings ideas to the bucket list, residents will never be short of things to try and get involved with.

Saffy has joined the team fresh from studying Art & Film at Lancaster University and brings tonnes of enthusiasm. If residents want to engage in craft projects, then Saffy is your woman. She is a keen painter and is looking forward to getting creative with residents, particularly to make decorations for the home themed events.
She loves nothing more than settling down to watch a good film and her favourite is the all-time classic, Dirty Dancing.
Saffy says:
'I am excited to start my career as a ‘Pink Lady’ at Middleton Lodge and to use my skills to deliver enriching activities for our residents'.
