On the whole very good, but clearing cups etc. away a bit slow from the rooms.

The care at Middleton Lodge is second to none.
The staff are fantastic, kind, patient but also fun and create a better quality of life for the residents.
Mum has become really fond of the staff and settling in well. I am really pleased by how she's being looked after and her needs being met.
Mum
is better physically than she has been in years, has gained some weight and made some new friends.

The standard of care my dad receives never alters. Every time I visit it's clean, tidy and there is always something happening. The food is fantastic and my dad is very happy.

This is an amazing care home. An incredible team of staff fill you with the confidence you are looking for when leaving a loved one in their care. Facilities, food and rooms cannot be faulted. The support and care are outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and any problems are soon resolved.

My mum has been at the home for four months now and is settled and happy. Everyone at the home is friendly and helpful and is always very welcoming. The events are very good and residents always seem to be doing something.

On entering, you think you are in a five-star hotel, the decor, furnishings and facilities are first-class. The home has many things to offer residents, it has a fantastic cinema, rooms are beautifully appointed and the quality is first-class. The choice and quantity of food is, again, brilliant, the
chefs and catering staff and all the other staff and cleaners are, again, just brilliant and so helpful and friendly. It has a library, foot and nail department, hairdressers, party room amongst other facilities. I would recommend Middleton Lodge Care Home - Averu Healthcare as the perfect home to reside in should you ever need a care home, I would not consider anywhere else.

Dad stayed for one week for respite care after having a knee replacement. Wow, Middleton Lodge Care Home went above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of. It is nicer than any five-star hotel or cruise ship! I am only sorry that I couldn't stay with Dad for the week. Beautiful rooms, fantastic
facilities, amazing food, wonderful, caring staff, quality furnishings, superb cleanliness. Nothing is too much trouble. This really is a fabulous home, there is nothing that hasn't been thought of to keep your loved ones safe, happy and feeling at home. Even better than home!

A most pleasant and acceptable change. I am extremely happy in my new home. I am exceptionally well cared for at Middleton Lodge Care Home. All the staff, from every department, are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. All of my medical needs are fulfilled and I am treated with respect and my
dignity is upheld. There is a top-quality menu on offer every day, always lots of options and I enjoy a five-star dining experience.

From the first visit to Mum entering, the staff and facilities have been so impressive. They are so friendly and competent and have managed to create a homely feel too. They hold some fantastic events and always go above and beyond for their residents and families. A truly lovely place to visit and

Mum has been in Middleton Lodge for two weeks since falling and breaking her ankle at home. After just a couple of days, we have all seen a huge improvement in her. The staff have looked after her with care and sensitivity and are all especially welcoming to visitors. It was her 95th birthday just a
couple if days after arriving and everyone went out of their way to make the celebration extra special.

The staff are always very welcoming and do anything they can to enhance my visits, eg, providing resources so my friend could be involved in arranging the flowers I had brought. My friend always says how kind everyone is. The staff are very accommodating and show consideration of my friend's physical
and emotional needs. The beautiful flowers that are always at reception really enhance the environment.

Mum came in for respite for one week. She settled in very well and is now going to become a resident. Everyone is very nice. The food is good and she is very well looked after and happy. Her room is lovely and the care home is like a top hotel. The staff are very nice and caring. I would recommend this
care home to anyone looking for respite and long-term.

‘Home Manager Jo Graves is a registered nurse with 30 years experience in healthcare. In her early career, she specialised in cancer care. Following this Jo undertook several roles within the acute care setting and worked as lead nurse for two private hospitals as well as working nationally in a variety of roles. She has over 5 years of experience as a Care Home CQC Registered Manager, specifically caring for residents with complex needs and those living with dementia.


Jo says: ‘It is a pleasure and a privilege to lead the team at Middleton Lodge to provide the highest quality care for those that we are privileged to care for. We have a beautiful, state-of-the-art care home in the heart of a wonderful community in Littleover and it is my passion to create a home that becomes a valued part of that.’


Danielle

Danielle Odell

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager

Danielle is a qualified healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience. She holds a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management and has worked in several management roles throughout the past ten years of her career.

Ellis Williams

Job Title: Head Chef

Bringing a wealth of knowledge to his role as Head Chef, Ellis has worked in care homes for over 7 years, having previously owned his own bistro. He is adept in planning and preparing nutritious and delicious meals for residents and skilfully adapts meals into cutlery-free options for those who find manipulating cutlery a barrier.


Ellis’ cheerful character never fails to bring a smile to everyone’s day, and he stated, “I have been busy planning a selection of menus for residents, from three-course lunch menus to afternoon teas. The team and I aim to provide exceptional service, and we are looking forward to welcoming residents to Middleton Lodge. There will always be freshly baked pastries and cakes in our café for residents and visitors to enjoy!”


Sheena

Sheena Russell

Job Title: Home Administrator

Joined: 2023

Sheena is our Home Administrator, she ensures the smooth running of the home, dealing with anything from finance to compliance, recruitment, and admissions. With over 15 years’ experience as a Home Administrator, we will need her expertise as the home grows and we know we are in safe hands.

Holly Niesiolowska

Job Title: Well-being & Activities Co-ordinator

Holly has been working in care for two years, but says she was born to do this job and couldn’t see herself doing anything else. Holly says:


‘There is nothing better than being the person who brightens up a resident’s day’.


Holly is Mum to her 7-year-old Son and when she’s not busy with Mum's duties, spends her time socialising with friends and enjoys getting her teeth into a good true crime novel.


Holly heads up our Well-being & Activities Team and brings ideas to the bucket list, residents will never be short of things to try and get involved with.


Saffy

Saffy Howell

Job Title: Well-being & Activities Assistant

Joined: 2023

Saffy has joined the team fresh from studying Art & Film at Lancaster University and brings tonnes of enthusiasm. If residents want to engage in craft projects, then Saffy is your woman. She is a keen painter and is looking forward to getting creative with residents, particularly to make decorations for the home themed events.


She loves nothing more than settling down to watch a good film and her favourite is the all-time classic, Dirty Dancing.
