Anchor's Moore Place provides luxurious and comfortable surroundings to up to 60 older people whilst providing first-class care and support. Moore Place continues to welcome new residents for quality residential and residential dementia care on both a permanent basis and on a shorter term basis.

The home benefits from the pretty surroundings of the Surrey Green belt whilst being set in its own landscaped grounds with outdoor seating areas for customers and their families to enjoy.

Facilities include an activity/cinema room, coffee lounge, a beauty salon and a number of cosy lounges. Bright and spacious bedrooms are designed to the highest standard each with an ensuite wet room and benefiting from modern comforts such as under-floor heating.

A range of care packages are available and these are carefully planned to suit individual needs and interests. Care colleagues strive to work closely with customers and their loved ones and build strong relationships to ensure they receive the best care possible.

My mother has been a resident at Esher for approximately 7 months and in general she is settled. Her family are relaxed in knowing that she is in a good home and quite safe. The staff are very good and friendly. From what I have seen residents having their own room phone is quite unique and is especially
useful as my mother has a problem using her mobile.
The manager is good and I am sure he will sort out any issues arising if indeed there are any.

From the first day, we entered Moore Place, we were so impressed with the decor and space of this wonderful home. The staff, carers, administrative and managerial staff have been so kind to my mum in law and her family. Professional and caring. Especially in these Covid times. We have felt confident

My mum was very apprehensive coming into the care home, but everyone has made her so welcome, she has now settled down well and is enjoying herself. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for her and also our family who visits regularly and nothing is too much trouble. We are delighted with the
care home and would gladly recommend it.

My mother has been in Moore Place Care Home for 3 years and we, as a family have seen considerable improvement during this time. 1) New, consistent top quality management heading up the team. 2) Employment of all permanent staff giving consistency of care and reduced risk of infection during Covid 19.
3) Better communication with families via Zoom and updates on care. 4) Structural changes to communal living areas to improve the living experience. 5) Cleanliness was always a concern during the early days but visually my mother is always clean and her hair washed, makeup applied showing real care despite her now limited capacity. I am looking forward to visiting her personal space i.e bedroom, bathroom, living space to make a full judgement of what I believe to be the now excellent standards. Proof of our confidence is a recommendation to a friend whose mother is shortly to move to Moore Place.

My father has been a resident at Moore Place for 2 and a half years now. He settled in quickly, has a modern comfortable room and has been extremely happy with the care he receives. It is a warm and welcoming home with a kind and approachable team. They have dealt with COVID extremely professionally
and communicated regularly with all the families. I would be happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a care home for their relatives.

The last year has been challenging for everyone but Moore Place has adapted to the constantly changing guidelines quickly and always with the best interests of residents and staff. The staff must of had their own worries about themselves and their families but they continued to look after my mother
with good humour and kindness. Without their care and dedication when my mother was unwell I feel that she may not have pulled through and am grateful for everything that the staff did and continue to do. All staff are helpful, resourceful and cheerful which gives Moore Place a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Moore Place is well led and that is reflected in the leadership, the staff ,the projects of improvements and the communications with relatives.
My review is based on the last year.

Carers are excellent - all employed by Anchor rather than agency staff. This shows in the interaction with residents. Nothing is too much trouble.
Rooms are well-appointed and comfortable.
Usually a good range of activities, some things obviously not possible at the moment, trips outside the home,
for instance. Efforts made to overcome this with staff putting on shows in the garden for residents to view from their rooms and balconies.
Outstanding efforts made by staff during the lockdown.

The staff at Moore Place have been amazing over the past twelve months and have all provided great care and support to my mother as well as being patient, cheerful and considerate, despite the challenging circumstances.
The management team have remained in close communication with families and friends
of the residents and have updated us regularly with all that is happening at Moore Place.
It is very reassuring to know that Mum is receiving such high quality care from such a wonderful team.

The manager and his team have always been very supportive to both my parents who are currently residing in the home. They respond quickly to all requests plus the regular Zoom meetings and emails have been great for keeping me updated on what's happening in the home since the start of the covid outbreak.

My mother has been a resident of Moore Place for the past 17 months. From the outset she has felt very comfortable there and always talks very favourably about the warmth and care provided by the staff.
I live abroad, but travel back for 2 week spells every 3 months to spend with my mother. A lot
of my time on these trips is focussed in and around Moore Place. As a result I have extensively and consistently witnessed for myself this high-quality provision of care.
I have been impressed with the good level of physical activity, entertainment and (prior to lockdown) trips out provided to residents on a weekly basis.
I have found management always receptive to suggestions and accommodating of requests.
It is a great relief to know, living overseas in these particularly difficult times, that my mother is in very safe hands.

I am so relieved and happy that my mother is living at Moore Place. She is so much happier than she was at home where she was isolated and lonely. She is shy and had lost confidence. She was provided with an instant family of friends and carers, and this has continued. I know how lovely the carers are
because I have seen it myself, most importantly, my mother is always full of praise and respect for them. If I call because she needs something when I’m talking to her ‘you’ (the carers) with a hugely reassuring ‘happy to help’ voice will immediately go and help her, it’s so cheering to hear. Mummy is happy, so I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. To be so selfless during this time, well I’ll be eternally grateful. Thank you to the new manager, he has definitely made improvements and for the staff, whose wellbeing really matters to me. Moore Place’s facilities include: a garden, activities, lovely food, laundry and ironed clothes meaning she can wear cotton blouses!

Every now and then in life, you come across wonderful institutions that basically are givers, want to do their best for you, put out 'good karma', and there are others who are takers; they short change you, go into denial, frustrate you, and put out 'bad karma'.
Well, I can gladly report that Moore
Place is firmly - VERY firmly - in the 'good' camp! They are a breath of fresh air. It is like a virtuous circle; the staff are absolutely marvellous; always giving, pleasant, kind, thoughtful. I'm sure this rubs off on new staff who arrive, who sense the joy in the place, and want to be part of it.
For Mum's family, my mother cannot speak highly enough about the staff. For someone who was determined never to leave her flat, Mum absolutely loves it at Moore Place and is eternally grateful to the staff. So Moore Place takes away all the worry for family members.
Good job... Very good job!

I have been extremely impressed and grateful for the care provided to my mother at Moore Place during this crisis - the pressure they were under must have been extreme but the care and the attention and affection shown to my mother never varied. The carers (one in particular) have really gone above
and beyond in hosting family video chat calls and encouraging my mother to venture outdoors for a little exercise and keeping us informed and sending regular pictures of Mum - we have all fallen a little in love with her! In addition the manager has kept us informed every step of the way on how the home is faring and responds quickly and efficiently to any email requests for information.
Given the scandalous situation in care homes in the country Moore Place must be commended on how they are coming through this - few infections and all recovered is a remarkable achievement and I find it difficult to express how grateful I and my family, spread around the world, are for this.

Since the new Manager has arrived the improvements at this home have been very good. The cleanliness has improved, the number of staff has improved, the daily entertainment has improved - in fact it has been a huge improvement overall. The management and care staff have been excellent during the Covid-19
pandemic and my mother has been looked after very well.

Moore Place has been an excellent choice for my mother's care over the last two years. The professionalism and compassion of the staff has been of the highest standards and has made what could have been a difficult transition into residential care pleasant and straight forward.
From the start of the
recent Covid-19 pandemic, I cannot praise the staff highly enough as they go above and beyond expectations for their residents, many of whom on the dementia floor require almost constant support.

My mother has been a resident for 5+ years and I cannot express the gratitude felt by her entire family for the comfort and care she has been given during these difficult times. One carer in particular has gone, in my opinion, above and beyond. She has facilitated online video calls over 3 continents
and has sent us pictures of Mum walking in the car park area - this is more than any of us have managed to get her to do in over a year, for this level of caring I have no words, gratitude does not seem to cover it adequately.

My mother has been in Moore Place now for two years and is very happy. She has been well looked after and the staff are very caring and understanding and I feel they have got to know her. The management has improved more recently and the staff seem happy. They have coped really well over this difficult
period during the Coronavirus. Residents are able to stay in contact via Skype and I have been updated frequently. I am grateful for all they have done.

My Mum (who suffers from dementia) has been a resident at Moore Place for four years and is very happy living there. The staff are exceptionally caring and she thinks very highly of them. Her room is modern, comfortable and overlooks the golf course where she used to play. The food is very good and
varied. The activities programme is improving and hopefully will continue to do so in due course. I am very happy with the new Manager who has definitely made improvements, and the Assistant Manager who has been there from the beginning - a very good leadership team now. At the time of writing, I have been unable to visit my Mum for several weeks now which has been very hard, due to Covid-19. I cannot express highly enough what a comfort it is to know she is in such safe, caring hands at this time. I can see when I speak to her on Skype that she is well cared for and content, so am very grateful she is being looked after so well by the carers who are going above and beyond!
