My mother continues to receive excellent care at St. Clare's Court Care Home. She recently required a referral to a district nurse and subsequent hospital appointment. This was dealt with extremely quickly by St. Clares in getting her the care she required. Her general care is very good and all the
staff show her kindness and respect. She enjoys the stimulation of the various activities and company of other residents.

Cannot fault the level of care provided. Mum is so well cared for. What is amazing is the activity programmes, and love how Mum is encouraged to join in. Since her admittance in early December, her mobility has really improved. All the staff are so caring, and it's lovely to see Mum enjoying the companionship
and activities; prior to this, she slept so much. The mental stimulation has so much helped her dementia.

In the lead-up to Christmas the staff went above and beyond to make the home feel special and Christmassy for all residents and families. The outside light and inflatable decorations were brilliant. We love visiting the home in December.
The home is always decorated beautifully.
There are always lots of activities taking place.
On one occasion we visited after tea time, and there were carol singers. My mother-in-law was taken downstairs with other residents, and they had such a lovely during.

What does kindness mean to you?

As a Health Care Professional, Sarah has gained many years of experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Sarah shares that HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Sarah remarked:


“The Residents, the people. Hearing laughter in the home and supporting Residents to fulfil hopes and dreams. Everything is possible with the right love and support behind you.”


Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her favourite people, going on holidays, listening to music and reading. Sarah’s biggest achievements are getting ‘Outstanding in Care’ CQC, making the final three for Care Home of the Year and winning Rising Star of the Year.

Having joined the kind care team at St Clare’s Court in 2017 as a Housekeeper, Katie has worked collaboratively with her Colleagues to provide the kindest possible care to Residents, while gaining a greater understanding of the care sector over the years.


After four years at St Clare’s Court, Katie was appointed as the Resident Liaison Officer, where she continues to provide kind care to Residents and their loved ones. In her role, Katie provides a warm welcome to all new Residents and Relatives to help them settle into St Clare’s Court, helping it feel like a true home-from-home.


Katie shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Katie remarked:


“I love getting to know all of our Residents as individuals, by understanding their likes and dislikes to ensure we deliver high quality, person-centered, and, most importantly, kind care.”


Katie’s greatest achievement is her children, who she and her husband enjoy spending quality family time with outside of work.
