With 70 bedrooms, Parklands Lodge provides a community setting where members can benefit from high-quality care, tailored to their individual needs. Parklands Lodge has been intelligently designed to improve residents’ quality of life, through mobility and experience.

The Lodge is equipped with high-quality furnishings & fittings throughout, as well as scenic views across Southport. Each bedroom comes with an adjustable profile bed, call bell system, flat-screen TV, telephone, wireless internet access and ensuite wet room. There's a range of facilities available including comfortable lounges, dining rooms, health & beauty salon and a kitchenette, so residents and visitors can make tea and coffee at any time!

Parklands Lodge understands the importance of a well-balanced and nutritious diet and therefore, a carefully selected team produces home-cooked meals onsite daily. The menu is crafted with care, incorporating resident’s preferences and cultural or dietary requirements. Guests can also join residents at mealtimes if there have been prior arrangements.

With their own in-house Lifestyle and Wellbeing team, there is never a dull moment. The team is dedicated to making their residents’ home a happy, vibrant and fun place to live! Parklands Lodge has provided fantastic care to both our parents. Mum recently passed away and I can honestly say, I am so glad she was under the care of Parklands at the time. They are very, very caring and such lovely people. They have a difficult job, but they have always shown the utmost respect
to both my parents. Many of them attended my mums funeral and the care they are giving to my dad at this sad time is outstanding. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the care you have given to my parents.

My father was resident at Parklands from last April until January 2018 and the home came recommended. My father settled in well and became a little more mobile.
My father was an ex horticulturalist and the gardener dedicated part of the garden to him and grew flowers from his own home that we took
in.
Staff were always helpful and very caring, advising us of any issues and dealing with them promptly and effectively.
If we raised concerns about his health a nurse was always consulted and doctors where necessary.
The entertainment team organised daily activities in the home and several outings a week of which my father enjoyed many times.
The home is very clean and modern, the equipment is up to date and the food is good quality. Unfortunately, due to old age my father recently passed away and the professionalism of the staff, the respect and care given at this particularly difficult time was unfaltering. I thank the management and their team and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Different staff offering different levels of care. Communication between shifts is poor. Are the personal files available to be read by all staff before performing personal care etc.? Although resident laps it up, I would prefer to see less treating of residents as children, although it is meant kindly.
Offered choice whenever possible, eg. clothes, drinks, clocks in each room with day and date.

Disappointing to read such comments when no contact has been made with the manager to discuss these concerns. This resident came in as respite to free up a hospital bed in preparation for the winter crisis. We are in the first month of support and building a therapeutic relationship with her, although she is due for discharge soon. The family have extended her stay twice and at no point expressed any concern about her care.

I found the Manager very kind and helpful, especially during this very difficult time for me. The care staff on the first floor I cannot fault. They were all extremely kind, considerate and again very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, especially dealing with some of the more difficult residents.
I would also like to mention the receptionist. She was also very kind and helpful.

My father has been a resident at Parklands for over 4 months and since then, my family are finally starting to sleep better at night. The care he receives is second to none, the staff treat the residents like family, the food is excellent and the manager is a breath of fresh air! It's so hard to make
the decision to have to put a family member in a nursing dementia home, but we now know he is in the best place for him and his needs.

I was so pleased we were able to place my Dad in Parklands. He has dementia and the last few years have been very hard, as soon as I came into Parklands I knew it was the place to be. The staff are so caring, they are always around and helping, they will answer any questions etc, as a family, we are

Mum has been at Parklands Lodge for 6 months. She settled in after a short period. She speaks very favourably about the staff, noting their kindness and standard of care. Her room and communal areas are clean and well furnished and the garden is large and well kept,


There are plenty of activities.

Mum is less keen on the choice of food but is reluctant to ask for anything out of the ordinary.

Thank you to the Parklands Team for all they do....nothing is too much trouble and there is always someone on hand to provide relevant help and support. The rapport between the team and the residents is great and I am very much made to feel like 'one of the Parklands family' when visiting. The general
approach is for everyone to join in and have as much fun as possible and I know Mum looks forward to the various activities that occur both 'on' and 'off site'. Well done everyone!

My husband has challenging behaviour due to dementia and needs EMI (Elderly Mentally Infirm) nursing care. All the staff and management deal with him in a caring and friendly manner in situations that can be difficult. We could not be looked after any better and I am confident that he is in good hands.

Lovely tea party afternoon organised for my auntie and uncle's birthdays on 10th and 11th July.

From the very first moment I walked through the doors of Parklands Lodge I received a fabulous warm welcome not only from the staff team but residents alike. It became evident that everyone has a true passion, takes pride in all aspects of the care home, and truly cares about the residents and their families/loved ones.


It is imperative that all residents, their families and visitors receive a warm and friendly welcome when arriving at Parklands Lodge, this is something that I feel makes a true difference.

As a home, Parklands Lodge provides a range of services from residential care to specialised nursing and dementia care, which ensures that we can adapt to residents' ever-changing needs/requirements. We are passionate. and committed to working with you or your loved one to promote and encourage independence. We also aim to support you to live your life in colour giving you and your family peace of mind that we are here to provide support around the clock whenever you need it.

Here at Parklands Lodge, we understand how difficult it can be to move into a care home environment. The team are here to support you with the transition into your new home making it as seamless as possible. We are available to provide support, guidance and information not only to our residents here at Parklands but to their loved ones/family members throughout the journey. We are here to promote a positive, safe, and well-maintained environment where we view all of our residents and their families as an extension of our own.

I have worked for Athena Healthcare Group for just over 5 years.


I started as a Concierge at Abbey Wood Lodge but recently joined the team of Lodge Sales Advisors based at our UK head office. I help families find the perfect forever home for their loved ones, liaising with Social Care and many local hospitals.


I enjoy my role very much, especially seeing new residents and their family becoming part of the Lodges extended family. Being a family that has a loved one with Dementia, I feel this helps me understand the pressure put on families when they suddenly have to consider the alternative to keeping their loved one at home.
