Parris Lawn is located in Ringmer, a pretty village just a few miles from the bustling town of Lewes in East Sussex. With a warm family atmosphere, highly trained staff are available to get to know residents individually offering the highest standards of residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and short stay basis. They’re only half an hour from the seaside towns of Brighton and Eastbourne, and they enjoy some beautiful views over the South Downs.

Parris Lawn is all about enjoying personalised care in luxurious surroundings. Living here is whatever your loved one wants it to be. They can fill their day with enjoyable activities, fine food and great company. Or if a quieter pace of life is more fitting, they can relax in the privacy of their individually-styled en-suite bedroom, or enjoy the view from the lovely gardens.

Meal times are a chance to get together with friends over a delicious home-cooked meal. The chef learns about your loved one’s unique nutritional needs and preferences and makes sure these are incorporated into the regularly-updated menus. They serve up three tempting meals each day and there’s always a wide choice of dishes, including lighter option, and modified dishes for residents who need a soft, fortified or diabetic diet.

Staff always make sure that people who are being nursed in bed, or who simply prefer one-to-one activities, get the quality time that they deserve, whether it’s reading or doing the day’s crossword.

Parris Lawn is part of Caring Homes, an established, family-run care company. Every team member receives their unique ‘Living in My World’ dementia training which is accredited by City and Guilds. My sister has been in Parris Lawn nursing home since the start of the lockdown in March 2020.
The staff and support team have shown my sister great care during a very difficult time. The wellbeing team especially make a real difference in spending time sitting and chatting with my sister. This has
been even more valuable as we were unable to visit for six months due to the lockdown. The manager of Parris Lawn is very approachable and easy to talk to.

My Mother is so happy and content, it is a joy to see. During lockdown, I get regular photos of her looking lovely and enjoying all sorts of activities despite being wheelchair bound. She loves the cooking, singing, ball games, poetry, music, having tea and cake and chat. She looks forward to the food
which is hotel standard. All the staff go the extra mile and are loving to my Mother, even when they are cleaning the rooms or serving food. Everyone from reception to nurses, activity, catering and domestic staff give a great deal to their job.

Referred to this home after a severe fall on my shoulder. Further bad falls while a resident. Rooms and care good to excellent. Most of the carers excellent and the food very good. One or two of the carers tend to ignore contact of resident, which can be infuriating but most of the carers are a delight.
Have been very kind to someone who can be a bit testy on occasions, I am well aware.

Mum moved to Parris Lawn at the beginning of Apri. It was evident after a couple of walks that she was settled as she felt safe and so her sleep pattern improved greatly. She is enjoying the food with a varied menu. Staff always speak and endeavour to answer any queries. She is enjoying the activities
- especially the singing. She always tells others that she is happy here.

This home is trying to do its best for people. I find the staff and management kind and helpful especially as they have a complex and difficult person to deal with in the term of my partner. My partner has always been known to all who know him as a complainer and he at times even describes himself as
such. The home gives the impression of being a hotel when you enter and I and some of my friends who have visited feel it needs perhaps a more homely feel. They do have good meetings for clients and relations which is good. It usually smells clean and fresh. I tell them if it doesn't.

I do not like being on a corridor where I have to put up with continuous screaming and shouting from people in nearby rooms. My mind is fine and I am confined to my room and chair and like my door open but people with mental problems keep coming into my room, using my toilet, laying on my bed, sitting
in my chair, it's just not good enough. I ask for a banana and croissant only for my breakfast and seldom get what I ask for, I also get food I have not asked for covered in various sauces which I've said I don't like. Most of the staff are nice but there are not enough of them. I am most unhappy.

It involves addressing physical health needs and promoting emotional, social, and mental well-being. Quality care is compassionate, respectful, and tailored to each individual's specific preferences and needs.


My career in nursing began over ten years ago in Romania, where I worked in various healthcare settings.


The rigorous curriculum and hands-on clinical experience provided a solid foundation for my nursing career. After relocating to the UK in 2015, I joined a great team of nurses and senior nurses and developed my skills further before starting as the Deputy Manager for Parris Lawn.


Throughout my career, I have been committed to continuous professional development, ensuring I stay current with best practices and innovations in healthcare.


With a significant portion of that time dedicated to elderly care, it’s provided me with the experience of being able to understand our residents' unique needs and challenges.


Choosing to work with Caring Homes was an easy decision, and it was because of its strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and its reputation for fostering a supportive and positive work environment. The company’s values align with my dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality care and I was particularly impressed by their focus on continuous improvement and innovation in care practices.
