Emma is the Interim Home Manager and brings a wealth of experience as a registered nurse for 27 years having worked both in the NHS and the private care home sector. Her journey started as a Home Manager in 2003 and she has since gone on to manage a number of homes over 15 years before moving into more Senior Management roles in Care Home Operations and Quality. Emma is committed to providing the highest levels of care and supporting the residents to lead a fulfilled and happy life.

Sally Appleton

Job Title: Clinical Deputy Manager

Joined: 2025

Sally is the Clinical deputy manager at Pottersway House and brings with her a substantial amount of nursing experience in a variety of clinical setting; predominantly the NHS.


Sally qualified as a registered nurse in 1997 and her professional journey to date has encompassed many senior positions. These include several years spent as a nurse practitioner/site manager in an acute local trust, and more recently, 8 years as a NHS ward manager on an acute renal ward leading a team of 60 staff.


Sally encompasses and encourages the values we promote and always leads with kindness and compassion.


On a more personal level, Sally loves good coffee, cats, and time spent with family and friends. She is also a keen walker and loves nothing more than climbing a hill or mountain on her days off.

Leanne Botha

Job Title: Lifestyle Lead

Leanne relocated to the UK from South Africa 8 years ago, with the dream of making a positive difference in the lives of the more vulnerable members of the community. After a brief move to Residential Childcare, Leanne returned to devoting her time to adults in the Residential Care sector. Leanne is particularly passionate about creating a meaningful lifestyle for those living with Dementia, and – over the last 7 years – has worked extensively as trainer, mentor, and activity provider in this field.

As Lifestyle and Wellbeing Lead, Leanne hopes to focus on person-centred care and individual wellbeing, encouraging residents to explore new ideas and rediscover old passions, thereby creating a meaningful and fulfilling lifestyle. Drawing on her creative background (25 yrs in the Design Industry), Leanne intends to implement activity programmes that will cover a wide spectrum of individual interests, and encourage residents to live their “best possible lives” in a safe, nurturing and wholistic environment. Leanne has an eclectic mix of interests (particularly in Arts, Architecture, History, Dance and Theatre) and is always enthusiastic to explore new things and go on new adventures.

Andrew Crutchley

Andrew has over 25 years of experience in catering. 10 of which were in care industry.


He has worked in AA rosette standard restaurants and prides himself on bringing the fine dining element to the care home.
He is passionate about creating the highest quality and standards for the residents whether they choose to dine in their room or restaurant.


Andrew will offer residents a great mixture of menu choices from traditional British classics to world foods with unique flavours to tantalise the taste buds.

Andrew is a qualified electrician with experience of maintaining buildings in the hospitality sector and is always on hand to help support staff and residents make their days go smoothly.
