Prideaux Manor and their team of experienced staff members offer personal care to adults over the age of 65 with dementia.

There are 23 well-presented single rooms available, and also 2 double rooms which are uniquely decorated to a high standard. Their aim is to create and maintain a secure, relaxed, happy, and homely environment for all residents. Residents also have access to a spacious dining room, where nutritional and varied meals are prepared in-house. The kitchen team cater for all types of dietary requirements.

There is a large garden at the back of the home with patio doors opening out to a paved patio area where the residents can have their meals.

The dedicated care team develop individualised care plans for each resident, aiming to meet their specific needs and requirements, and offer the best care possible.

In my experience the level of professionalism, compassion and cleanliness of Prideaux Manor is above satisfactory, actually perfect. There is no other way to describe the level of this!
The staff are friendly, helpful and caring.

I found my visit to Prideaux Manor very pleasant. Upon arrival on the evening of Halloween, I was greeted by friendly staff who were excited to host the Halloween party for the children. The children were all dressed up in their costumes and the staff presented themself to the children with such patience
and care, whilst carrying out games for everybody including the residents, to be involved in, they gave out goodie bags of sweets at the end. The residents seem very well looked after and I know my friend living here is very happy with the care they receive every day. I would like to thank the staff for their good work and support, it is very well appreciated. I must add that the place is very clean and welcoming to all, my friend who lives here had settled in very well from what I could see, enjoying the company of the carers.

I am delighted with the overall care and support for the whole family, we have received from all the staff at Prideaux Manor. When I enter the home I instantly feel a relaxed vibe, the staff are so friendly and I know my grandfather is well looked after here. The cleanliness of the home is 10/10. When
I speak to my grandfather he is always keen to tell me how wonderful the staff are to him, and how he can have a laugh with them is always something I love to see. I feel secure here and can see he does too.
The manager is awesome and presents herself with a positive attitude, always welcoming us, giving feedback about my grandfather, and focusing on his well-being, she is always there to speak to. The manager has been very supportive when we lost my grandmother, taking into consideration the loss we all felt as a family, as well as my grandfather.
I have to say, I really love this care home and would like to thank them all for their hard work.

On visiting my friend I was greeted by very friendly staff. My friend was extremely happy and said he loved being there. Spent all his time either in the lounge or garden.
Staff were very attentive during my visit and extended an invite to both of us of refreshments and entertainment. My overall opinion
was that my friend was very happy and well taken care of.

My mother went into Prideaux Manor directly from hospital, she was very poorly, something the hospital had not made us aware of, but as soon as she arrived at Prideaux Manor the lady in charge, could see all was not well.
The team took charge of Mum's situation and she had a lovely double aspect room
with extremely well-trained carers and nursing staff, always available not just for Mum but also for the very many visitors she had which was to be her last week with us.
We are extremely grateful for the caring and extremely professional manner in which they looked after Mum and it is something we will be grateful to them for many many years to come.

All staff go above and beyond to help in whatever is needed!
So friendly and welcoming to residents and visitors!
We were told by a rehabilitation centre that my mum wouldn’t be able to walk again, and within three weeks, my mum was up walking with a walker thanks to the time and effort of the staff
at the home!
The food is excellent, and the care is outstanding.

From the moment my mum moved into Prideaux Manor Nursing Home, my mum and the whole family were made to feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble, the nurses, carers and management team all have a wonderful caring connection with the residents and are very encouraging to get the residents to take
part in activities as well as deal with the usual day-to-day routines.
Their professionalism in caring for the residents is second to none. They have a wonderful sense of need for each resident and a great sense of humour which makes for some fun times.
I was always kept informed about my mum's care. Thank you to you all.

My mum was at the sister home and after her situation changed she was transferred to the Manor and received palliative care at the home. First off the staff at Prideaux house were excellent, and when my mum arrived at the Manor she received the same high-quality care. The staff are so amazing and considerate
towards families that visit. The nursing staff and the care staff are so wonderful they always treated my mum like she was their own mother, they are always gentle, caring, and considerate, they never talked down to her, always engaged her in a friendly conversation they always had her best interests at heart and always respected her dignity.
The Care Director is fantastic and always kept me informed on everything that was happening with my mum's care she was open and honest and told me about the good days she had and also the bad days she had.
They always respected my and my mum's wishes and the whole staff at the home felt part of my family that's how good they are.

It always makes me happy to see my mother well cared for and looking fresh and clean. When I walk into Prideaux Manor staff are welcoming and will always stop to say hello. If I have any worries about mum, the senior management will always help to make things work better. The kitchen staff are charming
and listen to my requests on behalf of my mother. I love the fact that the washing is done, but I do wish that colours and whites were done separately. Also, I dread the woollens going in as they seem to also go in on a hot wash. Other than that moan thank you to everyone for making my mum's life so happy.

My aunt is a resident and the care that she is receiving is outstanding. I couldn't have picked a better place for her. The staff are very friendly and helpful both to my aunt and to me and my family and regularly update us on the welfare and health and general care of my aunt.

I am really happy that each time I have visited my Grandmother she seems to be very well looked after and she always has positive things to say about members of staff. She has a lovely room and can go out in the garden if she wishes. She can also have chocolate and lots of good soup, she enjoys her
desserts and she likes to chat. I am happy she is at this home.

We felt that a nursing home would provide support for our two dementia homes when it comes to end-of-life care.


We are passionate about ensuring we provide good care and support for all our residents and their families.


We just completed our commitment award for well-being at work and are currently working on our bronze award.


I have a level 5 diploma in health and social care management, level 3 in dementia care and over 28 certificates in other relevant training

We took over Prideaux Manor I 2021 so I have been spending more time here at the moment


My main role is invoicing the families and day-to-day administration work.


I like to go out onto the floor and speak to the residents and their families, I am happy to help out anywhere that is needed in the home as we work as a team when we are short
