Primrose House Care Home is a purpose-built luxury care home located in Brough, and provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 66 residents in single, ensuite rooms. The home benefits from facilities such as a library, hairdressing salon and cinema room. There is also spacious living and dining areas for residents to relax, socialise and spend time with loved ones during visits.

The dedicated care team gets to know each resident, working with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans so that their needs are always met. The care team provides individual and compassionate care by getting to know each individual and building strong relationships with them and their loved ones.

Residents living with dementia receive quality dementia care, provided by colleagues, who are fully trained to ensure their approach is the best for residents living with dementia.

Since Mum arrived at Primrose House, she has been very happy. Each time I have visited I've look through the doors to see Mum before I go in and each time she has one of the staff looking after her. The decor isn't like most care homes and it feels more like a hotel. I have been really impressed so
far.

I visited my father on a cold wet day and received a very warm welcome at Primrose House. I had an initial chat about his care in the coffee shop in reception with the manager who was able to clearly explain the physio and other treatments my father is having. Dad said he was really enjoying the food
and the staff were very kind to him.

A lovely welcome with offer of a drink. Staff extremely helpful and polite the home was immaculate and most residents in the lounge with great atmosphere and friendly staff. I would thoroughly recommend Primrose House

A professional yet welcoming, 'nothing too much trouble', 'one big family atmosphere at this beautiful caring home. Our mum moved here from a home in Hessle where the lack of care was making her so unhappy. At Primrose House, she has received the best care from day one. The staff are so attentive and
genuinely interested in providing the best care to their residents. A high standard of daily routines, lots of stimulating activities: hardworking staff with a true talent for care which is fantastic. We believe this is absolutely best for our mum which is so reassuring and what our mum deserves. Thank you to all the staff for helping our mum smile again.

My mum has gone for 2 weeks of respite care in this newly opened care home. Mum is in a standard room. The rooms are hotel-style with tv and Freeview, lots of cupboard space with plenty of lockable cupboards and a fridge.
The bathroom/ wet room is spacious also with decent cupboard space. The dining
areas are again hotel style and the food, which I have sampled myself is excellent with snacks and beverages in between. Above all the staff are lovely, caring and can’t do enough, nothing is too much trouble. There are plenty of activities on most days with a cinema room, hairdresser and chiropodist who attend regularly. I would highly recommend Primrose House.

Braiden

Braiden Brettell

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2023

Braiden has worked in the health and social care sector since 2017, beginning his career as a care assistant specialising in residential dementia care. While he has also supported young adults in the community, his true passion lies in caring for the elderly, particularly those with dementia. Braiden’s creativity, rooted in his earlier interest in performing arts, fuels his commitment to providing a person-centred approach to care.


In his role, Braiden uses his technical skills to guide and support staff, helping them achieve both personal and professional goals.


Outside of work, Braiden values quality time with his family and enjoys city breaks across Europe, where he immerses himself in learning about different cultures.


Beverly

Beverly Cuthbert

Job Title: Front of House Manager

Beverly started working in hospitality in 1991 and has worked the length and breadth of the UK enjoying hotel and administration work.


Beverly met her husband whilst working in a Hotel in Harrogate and they worked together for a few years.


Beverly settled in East Yorkshire in 2001 and her career path moved to working in social care in 2009 which commenced at a Nursing and Residential Home in Driffield as an Administrator and then Administration Manager.


Beverly has always worked in customer-facing roles and likes to develop good relationships with clients and colleagues.


Beverly is passionate about working in a company that gives the best possible care and has a warm welcome for everyone.


Beverly’s interests outside of work are Formula One and spending time with family.
