Keele Crescent is a small six bed residential home providing care for vulnerable adults living with Dementia. The home has a relaxed family atmosphere with friendly experienced staff, all of whom have a NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or a Care Certificate as a minimum. They also have regular mandatory training and updates and have access to a wealth of continued personal development programmes. They promote personal centred care at all times.

Residents are able to choose either to spend time in their own rooms or if they prefer can join in the varied activities in the shared lounge. They can choose when to spend time in the garden or summerhouse whilst feeling safe and secure in the well-maintained mature wrap around garden.

The large kitchen and adjoining open plan dining room is ideal for entertaining guests where they are free to use the facilities.

There is a visiting local GP and chiropodist, and the residents can use the purpose-built hair salon in the sister home, Park Mount. Keele Crescent has various outings and celebrate all holidays and events throughout the year.

My mother has been a resident at Keele Crescent Care Home for several years and I cannot speak highly enough of the care that she has received. The staff show a great understanding of dementia and treat all residents with patience and respect. The home is safe for dementia sufferers, daily care is
recorded and tracked, and the staff are observant of changes in each resident's condition. Staff are proactive in looking after residents, selecting activities that are interesting and allowing residents to make daily choices as appropriate. The care staff are mindful of the personal hygiene of the residents and external services such as hairdressing and chiropody are available. The care home is kept extremely clean, the bedrooms are comfortable and the food is well prepared. This care home has six residents and feels like an ordinary house, which enabled my mother to make the move to a care home more easily. My thanks go to all the staff.

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

I first joined Pallottine Missionary Sisters Home in February 2017, I transferred over to Keele Crescent as a Supervisor when we first opened as a respite Care Home, over the years I have gained the knowledge, and the necessary skills and was promoted to Registered Care Manager in May 2021.

I took my first Care role in 2008, and since then I have worked in different areas of the care sector which has enabled me to gain many different qualities when providing and promoting person-centred care to a wide range of different service users. I took a break from Care in 2013 until early 2017, when I worked as a manager for a photography company, after I had lived in Macclesfield for almost a year, I made the decision to return to the care industry, which then led me to find Park Mount Care Home and Pallottine Missionary Sisters.
