In this superbly situated 77 room, large and spacious care centre, with wonderful, open access, very large gardens, where every need is the staff's pleasure.

Offering residential type care (personal care) and nursing care for people of 60+ including on their own floor, services dedicated to those living with dementia or related condition, will have a large en-suite facility with separate dining and living areas.

All en-suite accommodation on the ground floor rooms open directly onto the gardens, and with delicious and plentiful home cooked meals and a partnership with the Oomph charity assisting in the design of meaningful activities will be delighted with both the facilities and the care staff provide.

Registered manager Denise has built a very strong local reputation and was the manager of the 2015 end of life care home of the year winner.

My Mother has been in Sand Banks since January. Having moved her from another care home, I would like to say a big "Thank You" to all the staff and management for all the amazing work you are all doing to keep the residents safe during the current situation.
I have found on each visit exceptional
care is given to all residents.
The hygiene standards are very high, the staff are very friendly, and the activities team are just amazing; watching the daily video's on social media warms my heart seeing the residents happy faces.
My mother is always clean and dressed well her room is always clean.
I am so happy that I moved my Mother into what I feel is one of the best care homes.

Very polite and friendly staff. They look after my dad so well. He always seems happy and content and I get regular updates, photos and videos of him taking part in activities, joking around and smiling. The Activities Co-ordinators are great. The home is always spotlessly clean, smells fresh and is
very nicely decorated. Everyone is well looked after.

Very friendly staff offering a high quality of care and lots of fun activities to keep the residents motivated and involved.
The rooms are spacious, and the level of hygiene is excellent. Given the current lockdown where we are unable to visit our relatives, every effort is being made to ensure we
can maintain contact and updates on health and wellbeing. The staff are doing a tremendous job.

When I visit my father he is always tastefully dressed, clean and tidy.
When resting attention is taken to ensure he is comfortable with appropriately placed pads to prevent sores.
The staff are always very smartly presents, pleasant and enthusiastic about their work. They are knowledgeable, welcoming
and happy to discuss any ongoing issues.

My mum is a new resident in this care home. My sister and I have found the home friendly but professional. All the staff from the top to the cleaners always have a smile and a warm greeting for my mum and us as her family. The two entertainment girls work really hard to stimulate the residents organising
events constantly. Very happy mum is a resident.

Since moving from hospital to Sand Banks, my aunt has received nothing but the finest care and attention. At present, my aunt is, to say the least, challenging through delirium/dementia, therefore not the easiest person to deal with. The management have been absolutely brilliant, not only with my aunt
but my wife and I. The rooms are very clean, decorated and furnished to a high standard with a very bright and well designed en-suite. The food is of a high standard with everything cooked from fresh.

My mam has been a few years in Sand Banks Care Centre. The staff are lovely and caring. The management are excellent and very approachable, door always open. Having looked around many other care homes for my father, Sand Banks, without any question stood out as the place to choose for him to move to. The staff are so welcoming, caring and professional. They made our decision easier and the transition has gone smoothly making my fathers life so much better.
He is particularly happy with the lovely food at meal times and enjoys chatting with all the staff. Sand Banks Care Centre is everything we hoped it would be and more for Dad's new home.

Entertainment and activities. Staff excellent. General staff variable due to the large turnover. Sometimes seems understaffed when assistance is required. Involving residents in general activities i.e. bingo etc is a great benefit to them.

I have been coming daily to Sand Banks Care Centre since my friend became a resident and I have to say what a wonderful place it is. You are treated with respect from the moment you walk through the door and my friend loves the attention she gets, the meals are excellent and a very good menu. I am always
asked if I would like a cup of tea when I'm there. I worked in the industry for many years and I can truly say that Sand Banks Care Centre is top class. I would certainly stay here.

The home is spotlessly clean and the rooms are all decorated in a lovely, modern way, so the home has a homely feel to it.
All the staff are pleasant and friendly even under sometimes extremely trying times, as my mother's dementia progresses in the dreadful ways that it unfortunately does.
There
are activities for the residents but due to my mother's dementia, she is unable to participate. The food is all home cooked but again, unfortunately, my mother rarely eats it so she is given dietary support and encouraged to eat when necessary.

Our family member was very settled even in such sad circumstances. The support of the two activity staff alleviated apprehension and stress surrounding our relative attending her sister's funeral, allowing her to pay her respects which wouldn't have been possible otherwise due to her ill health. The
staff members integrated very well with family members and friends at the funeral, showing respect and compassion. They were seamless handling her over to family members without any embarrassment, as other guests were unaware of the circumstances. They were friendly, professional and allowed our family member to make her own decisions with support. Staff members deserve a high level of praise, they were amazing.

All staff - office, nursing and cleaning were always polite cheerful and very helpful. This care home was very welcoming and friendly.
It was a pleasure to go and see my father in this environment.

I started training at Teesside university and have now been qualified for 23years. I have worked in care for most of my career and for the last 7 years, I have worked within Care Home Settings. I have worked in Hospitals, GP surgeries and Care Homes.
I enjoy nursing as no 2 days are the same and I am able to build up holistic relationships with residents and families within our care home.
