Savernake View Care Home is a purpose-built home that opened in August 2016. Overlooking the Savernake Forest, Savernake View offers 24 hour residential, respite, dementia and nursing care for individuals living in Wiltshire. The highly-skilled team at Savernake View provide professional and compassionate care that is focused on the individual needs of every resident.

Residents at Savernake View benefit from access to a number of communal living areas including dining and living rooms, a café, a cinema, a hairdressing and nail salon, a dedicated activities and wellbeing room and a private dining room for celebrating special occasions. Savernake View also has a secure landscaped garden perfect for a morning stroll, some exercise or simply a cup of tea with a view! We moved my mother to Savernake View after viewing many nursing homes caring for people with severe Dementia. We were very happy with the introduction to the home and were given all the information we needed. We felt the team were extremely welcoming and friendly. My mother has settled very well, and
the staff are very friendly and helpful towards her. We are very pleased with the home.

Naturally, I did not want to leave my London home, but being in Savernake compared to living in a hotel - extremely comfortable. Wonderful, hardworking and very friendly staff. Many amenities and activities. It is a delight to be a resident. Thank you all.

Staff are very kind and attentive. Extremely easy to arrange admission. Staff came out to the local hospital to assess and transfer arranged by them. All very smooth. Dad is doing very well now and has gone home; thanks to all.

Having moved to Savernake View from the NHS hospital under palliative care, our dear friend was visibly more comfortable at Savernake Vire. Her short stay was made as supported as humanly possible by all staff.

I have been a resident for 4-years at Savernake View, and I enjoy my time here. I especially like my garden room and being in the garden. I like gardening and being part of the gardening club. I like the exercise classes, and hand pampering is one of my favourite things to do.

My husband is looked after well. Most of the time, a little more encouragement would be good for washing and dressing, especially when visitors or going out. There is recently, in the last six months approx, a large turnover of staff. These seem to be staff that work over and above and are not appreciated
for it, so move on, which is a real shame for consistency of care.

After a long hospital stay, my father confirmed he would rather go to a nursing home than have 24/7 care in his own home. His only instruction to me was, "it has to be a nice one".
Having heard good things about Savernake View, it seemed a good place for me to start. From my initial enquiry, a subsequent
visit to look around and now three weeks into my father's stay, the staff have been extremely helpful, informative, kind, considerate and accommodating. It appears that nothing is too much trouble, and every member of the staff is friendly, welcoming and incredibly kind.
Although my father isn't eating and drinking as well as he used to (before his hospital stay), the staff are doing their best to try and encourage and help him to sample the outstanding food on offer (and they keep me updated on his condition).
Everything is beautifully maintained (both inside and out), and the bedrooms are clean and comfortable.
I am very grateful to everyone at Savernake View.

From my first contact with Savernake View, I have received support, understanding and kindness. When eventually, my brother-in-law was admitted to Savernake View Care Home, I felt a weight lifted as I knew he was now in the right place to receive the care and dignity he needed and deserved. Although
his time there was short, he received excellent care from everyone who dealt with him. The staff went to great lengths and were very patient in trying to get him to eat and or drink. It is such a comfort to know that he was happy there and had excellent care.
You are all much appreciated.

I have found the home's staff all really nice. It was my mum's decision to go into a care home, and she wanted to be in Marlborough, and this was one of the only homes that could cater for the care she needed, and she was really happy and settled there. When she came to move up there, the manager let
me start to take the belongings she was taking up with her a bit before she arrived there, and they also got some of the pictures hung on the wall in her room for her.

I came in with a resident as their private carer for 3-years. I was at Savernake View every day and interacted with staff. I found everyone very welcoming and friendly and happy for me to be there for the month that I was there every day. The food was always good quality and well presented with two
choices for our lady to choose from. Although we didn’t take part in any activities, there was always plenty on, and the grounds are lovely to walk around.
Staff were very warm and caring towards the lady who I was supporting. The home/bedrooms were cleaned on a daily basis.
I am giving four stars due to there usually being a shortage of staff, and with the cost of living there, it’s a shame that there can’t be more on. Unfortunately, I know this is common at care homes, and the care given by the staff who are there was great.

My husband's aunt has been a resident in Savernake View from the time it opened. We recognise that her needs are complex, but her wishes are always considered. Moreover, management and staff in all areas are always willing to take the time to discuss her needs with us. As Visitors to Savernake View,
we are delightedly the friendly greeting we receive.

My mother has been a full-time resident since August 2021; she is settled and well cared for.
It is very clean and well maintained, even though it was difficult for them during Covid.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and will always call if there is a problem.

Despite challenges with current circumstances, all staff have been extremely helpful and kind. We are very grateful for their hard work and dedication, especially the way the permanent staff are, their kindness and ability to work with agency staff and still maintain a high standard.

My wife spent over a year at Savernake View Care Home. Her condition meant that she was a high dependency resident requiring one to one nursing care.
The reception staff were professional and welcoming whilst dealing with the Covid testing restrictions etc.
The care and nursing staff were excellent
when it came to my wife's care. Quite often, Savernake staff were supplemented with agency staff, which were well briefed as to my wife's requirements and care.
There were occasions when my wife had a fall and needed paramedic attention, I was kept informed at all times.
In the last few weeks, before my wife passed away, I was allowed to visit when I wished, despite Covid restriction. In fact, I was able to be with her as she passed; this was a great comfort to me. The staff were very supportive at this time, and every care was taken with my wife.
The lounge areas are furnished to a high standard, and the facilities are excellent. Resident's rooms are spacious and well equipped. A very impressive care home.

This is my third visit. I came here three years ago following an unheralded heart attack. Soon after discharge, I developed Colo-rectal problems, and following appropriate surgery, I returned here for two weeks. This visit (respite care and two weeks) following further Angioplasty. I am learning basic
words in Romanian!

Whilst the care that my wife received during her time with you from 13. 01. 21 – 8. 5. 21 was very good and exactly as promoted in your brochures.
The care that she and I received from your whole team during her final week from 9th May to her passing on Saturday evening 15th May was absolutely beyond
anything that could be expected; they were utterly professional, but at the same time, kindness itself to us both.
Do please pass this to all departments, I really don’t want to want to mention one particular name because we were literally surrounded by warmth and care by everybody we came in to contact with.
I will be writing to the CQC to bring to their attention the excellence of care my wife and I have received.

Rachael Khan-Lowe

Job Title: Home Manager

Hello, my name is Rachael Khan-Lowe, and I am the Home Manager here at Savernake View.


I have worked in care since 2015 after qualifying as a general nurse from Sheffield Hallam University. Since qualifying as a nurse, I have worked in various settings, including nursing homes, acute settings, primary care and within charities. I have recently completed a master’s degree in integrated health and social care to develop my leadership and management skills, which are essential parts of running a successful care home.


When I am not spending time with our residents and team, you will find me with my husband travelling around in our campervan exploring the local area. I was brought up in Yorkshire but lived in Nottingham until recently, and we are enjoying living in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.

Hello, my name is Robyn, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Savernake View.


I have been working in the care sector since October 2021. I really enjoy working here in Marlborough, and our residents and team members here at Savernake View are all incredibly friendly, welcoming and ready for a good laugh! In addition to this, we are really lucky to be here in Marlborough surrounded by a lovely local community.


Finding the right environment for yourself or a loved one’s future care can be a difficult and daunting choice, so it is my role to provide guidance and support throughout the process to ensure that you are fully informed ahead of any decision you may make.


The best way to find out more about the care we provide is to come and visit our beautiful home and experience it for yourself, during which time I will be able to discuss your requirements with you in more detail and answer any questions you may have concerning your circumstances.
